Well of course I am hoping that Haaland gets his first blank of the season in the next few hours against a Newcastle side that will want to make this game end 0 - 1.

I will take Bernardo Silva 43' (Kovacic) just because it's so useless a goal it will make people tear off their hair  Grin

Obviously, I would like all Liverpool assets to return against Wolves this week. Even the ones I don't have.

You have a nice backup - Fabianski against Brentford is a good shot, I wouldn't care much about bringing in a new GK, you should focus on bringing in someone for injured Pedro before another price fall. Jackson and Kai Havertz are good options with good fixtures ahead.
Against Brentford, maybe but his not being having playing time with Areola not giving him any chance on the pitch. Went over his stats and wish I had bought Sanchez but, I’ve got to go without hopes on a goalkeeper this GW but, was able to come up with some transfers however. Jackson was surely a person of interest but, the budget wasn’t accommodating but, I look forward to having him on my team sometime this season. His showing some promises and have got a team that could feed him some passes. Chelsea haven’t been any bad this season and that could mean well for some Chelsea assets.

Stupid app is down for 20 minutes.

Wanted to switch a few pieces and to go with Lewis instead of Leif Davies but yeah - the app didn't allow it.
My WC was needed but I feel there are some last-minute changes that would have helped me more down the road.

This whole 2-month period has been hectic, during the whole week I had like 20 min to tinker with my squad. Still - I like how my team looks for the foreseeable future.

The window has been shut!

I would have been fine with going with Haaland if this wasn't a major wildcard window providing a lot of captaincy options for other managers, Salah have helped me well in the first few opening fixtures, and I've decided to repay that favor, with many dropping Salah already, this could be a really good captaincy differential, if he's able to get a decent return.

If I had Salah against Wolves, I would not consider captaining Halaand this week. The Wolves are undoubtedly one of the worse defences this season, but as tradition for non-Salah holders demands, I will be hoping he blanks.

Rico starts!! Missed out on that one last minute, left him on the bench. Used 2FT, Roll 1FT

My biggest worry for this week remains captaincy, Saka seem to have a very strong case (if I'm bringing him in perhaps for Salah), while Newcastle despite being defensively horrendous have never been an easy fixture for Man City, decision decision... I'm sure I might end up with the wrong choice at the end of the day  Angry

When in doubt, leave the captaincy on Halaand; this way, you reduce any potential harm by a larger percentage.  Grin

I considered Jackson and Halaand, and I'm still thinking about it, but if I don't come up with anything before the deadline, I'll surely leave it to Halaand. Kai Havertz is another option I'm exploring. I never thought about Saka- I've never been comfortable around Saka captaincy hype.

There is definitely no Raya news coming, except a leak of course because as it stand Arteta kept insisting on waiting for 24 hours before any update, Arsenal plays Leicester City tomorrow and then PSG in the UCL on Tuesday, If there isn't anything concrete as of now isn't it rather safe to assume that Raya would be taking a breather tomorrow ?
Arteta and Howe are the worst managers when it comes to press conferences and player injuries. They are never giving info and when they give something it is often misleading or plain lies.

I have a feeling Raya plays and I am 99% certain I am going with him on wildcard. Problem is I don't have second keeper so taking a solid risk.

Maybe not so risk after all if he's the plan going forward and it's not too much of an injury so to say, still the points that could be lost might end up being significant...

That Raya injury really made me run in circles. Had very comfortable WC team and now because of that I am booking one future transfer when I need 0.5M to remove Flekken for some 4.0 GK. Still feel like it was a good choice since I can opt to play Flekken during those 3 bad Arsenal fixtures if I decide to do so and then get rid of him after that.

On the flip side I am quite sure many managers now dropped Raya from WC which I consider a big win.

73 points!!! Oh well ahahaha left everything on auto pilot!!! Sure I would have gone in for Lewis ahead of Konsa and missed out on that 9 pointer.
I was way below average on the fantasy when I really should be catching up on those missed points. Now, I don’t know what changes to do on my team even with 3 free transfers on the side. The activities in my private life from last week had such impact on me that up to this moment, nothing feels the same and am having some internal conflict but, I do hope things clears up real soon.

With hours to end of the transfers for the GW, any pointers if we would be seeing Raya this GW, it’s looking unlikely but, I suppose I get Sanchez real fast.

Meanwhile, everyone who is wildcarding right now is busy getting all my midfielders and attackers, forcing me to do even more transfers so that I do not end up with a template squad when I need to get up places. Nice 4-D chess guys  Tongue
I have 8 or 9 players locked and only changing remaining 3 plus filling the bench with what I have left from the budget.

Now more or less set, only waiting for Raya news. I just know we will not get any.

Except for a very minute changes that I might need, I think I'm glad I don't have to worry about the wildcard for this round, I like how my team is looking and would transition over the next few weeks barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Seems like the best gameweek to wildcard is on us as everyone is saying, and many FPL managers will likely have same teams from the look of things Roll Eyes
let me see what the likes of FPL Fran have to say on YouTube, or perhaps footballhub then will see how far my team is from the best and will work on one or two transfers to bring in...but nice fixtures for some clean sheets and attackers should score easily if you pick the right players  Tongue

There are so many good choices when you have a wildcard chip Grin
I assembled and disassembled my team 5 times already, with drastic changes made each time.

I think I'll end up playing it safe, it's still early. But I do have to say that the team I created without Salah is a top one.

Liverpool had an easy schedule that is getting tougher now, with Europe and cups they will heavily rotate - especially the offensive positions.
Yeah they will. but Liverpool will score a lot of goals and 60 minutes of Dias in this form could be more valuable than 90 minutes for some other club. If you look at teams that will score a lot of goals, you have Liverpool, City, Chelsea that will all rotate a lot and then maybe Spurs and Arsenal that should be easier to nail down.

Problem is I want Liverpool attacker and since I don't have money for Salah, Dias is the best from the rest, at least for time being. I am aware he is transfer waiting to happen but should be good for next 2 weeks. He will be my only minutes risk attacker so I can live with that.

WC active in the end for me.

I have dropped Salah, and stuck with another option that I feel is having one of the best form of their career under Slot.

I assume this is Diaz - can't be anyone else. I wanted to take him initially instead of Jota, picked the latter which was a mistake.
I wouldn't touch Diaz near 8 million, he's got his limits and although he started well, there are many better options around.
