Proud of Arsenal, we found a way to win even from our disadvantaged position, and that is how big teams do. Next game against Manchester City, not sure we will be very lucky.
Mikel Arteta is a genius the approach he employed in winning Tottenham in that game underscores how much of a good coach he is. For the Manchester City game against his side next weekend I think this game result would decide alot for both teams in the title race. it going to be a daunting and tough one on Arteta because City would obviously be in control of the midfield a strong position for them and that will create much pressure on Arsenal, unlike Ange Postecoglou, Pep  Gardiola is a tactician that knows very well how to breakthrough proving defense line to find the back of the net. We'll see what Arteta decision would be on that faithful day.
I will agree to that. Arteta showed significant brilliancy in the approach last match. Next week he won't be lucky enough to escape from Manchester City unless his injured players are back on the field. Arsenal might have a good defense but it is no match against Manchester City with Haaland and De Bryune on the field. Also, I dont want to be too sure of Manchester City winning because anything could be possible. Arsenal has a good goalkeeper and strong defenders. Even if Manchester City wins the game, the goal margin won't be different. And who said Arsenal can't score in the game? Of course, Arsenal will score in the game.

KDB is always turned on when he plays Arsenal; he is more likely to get the most points from that game.

That game will not be a good game to captain Haaland.
Something we could agree on though., Haaland is likely going to be silenced, there wouldn’t be many goals but, Arsenal could lose and that’s it. Doku would be getting an assist in this one, KDB is sure to try some long range shots as most of the crosses to Haaland wouldn’t come off successfully, then we’ve got Foden on a side and Gundogan to aid the team do the most.

I don’t think even Arsenal is going to be a difficult fixture for Manchester City. They would be looking to get points from that game for Rivalry’s sake and that Viking, nothing is getting him patched up.
Arsenal's defensive duo Gabriel and Saliba successfully kept him mute last season in both the home and away games. Arsenal's defensive line also looked very good against Tottenham; they kept Solanke occupied the whole of the game, and Tottenham could not find a way even though they had lots of attacking chances. Arsenal can do it again this season; keep Haaland from scoring even if we still end up losing the game (because any player can score for City). KDB is always turned on when he plays Arsenal; he is more likely to get the most points from that game.

I don't think that Haaland at 15 mil is a must this season. He started really well but City had an easy fixtures list.
Problem is, when you look at City every fixture looks easy. Granted they now have Arsenal which is though but after that it is all easy for the robot.
Newcastle (bad defense this season but could be considered though)
Fulham H (conceding goals and chances against anybody)
Wolves A (Chelsea scored 6 here)
Southampton H (maybe easiest fixture in the season)
Bournemouth A
Brighton A

If he isn't injured he is in my team and captain in all of those except against arsenal. It is actually a blessing when you don't have to think about stuff like captaincy every week  Grin

I don’t see that coming, he doesn’t engage much aside from little contests to result in anything serious.
£15 kept him off my radar and I eventually bought him at £15.2. After loosing points to the GWs.

The problem starts if you do pay that 15 mil and then don't captain him. Everybody does and your captain choice must make a difference too, which Salah didn't do for me in the last round.
That's 10+ points difference there only in 1 round and that shit adds up fast.

Holland really made the first few rounds boring: the only success was whether you picked him or not.
We all have to just suck it up and get Haaland, then we have rest of team to do as we please. Nobody will win our mini league because of Haaland captain, you can loose it but you can't win it on that pick. Win will come for getting the rest of it right like Sanches and Gabriel in this round.

Also Haaland damage is psychological more than anything. If I asked you to tell me how much points lead he has on other players what would be your answer?
It is actually 9 points, and before this last GW he and Salah were both on 41. And nobody was that afraid of Salah. It is just best to get him and give him captain band almost every week than to ruin the FPL experience for yourself.

Captain's armband + tripling made the difference in the first rounds. It's not just few points (but i understand that you tell about Salah) I just bought Haaland and unfortunately he only made a double. Yes, I consciously played against him in the first rounds and my bet did not play, that's normal.
Now I'll have to come up with new risky tricks to try to compensate for the damage that's already been done.

The problem is the generally the other players you have to put up with, I didn't have Haaland until this game week and it's not as terrible for me, what Trofo is saying is that just count Haaland as default pick for every player then try to beat others with the rest of your squad rather than trying thinking every game week on how to minimize the Haaland's effect or finding potential captain that could possibly outshine him, while Sallah was able to save my arse for the first 3 weeks, it would have been an horrendous outing if I had not brought in Haaland this week.

Can someone explain to me how points are awarded?  Grin
In the picture, if you add up the players' points, I see 82 points, if you subtract the fine for transfers, it will be 74 points. Why is 68 shown?

I am more concerned why you thought it would be a good idea to stick Watkins 3rd on bench behind (Amadou) Onana and McGinn.  Embarrassed

Believe me, I'm also questioning myself about this  Grin
But the answer is simple, I made transfers in a hurry and then when I was choosing a team, I may have made a misclick. So it was no any idea but just accident.

Well guys its official im in the drak side of the Premier Fantasy now. Very sad for this but i cant loss so much points only because a fucking player, all the diference in the pool is made by this man Haaland, so better now than later.

I also pay 8 points deduction to make space for him, but as i said is impossible to still without him, in this round all were shit performance but that 26 points of Haaland make all the diference for everyone.

The bench player plays only if you have activated the chip. The sum of points is taken into account minus transfer points.

I can't help but feel horrible taking Gabriel out for Robertson, he's got a goal, most likely a cleansheet and extra 3 points too would be on the horizon for him, the numbers would have been enough to make up for whatever he does in the next 2-3 game weeks that I was afraid of initially.
Gabriel was the MOTM, well deserved; he did not just help us get the goal he was very good defensively and did not get booked.

Our midfield was not as it used to be; we really missed the presence of especially Odegaard. His absence totally made Saka not very functional, and Martinelli on the other side was again wasteful.

Proud of Arsenal, we found a way to win even from our disadvantaged position, and that is how big teams do. Next game against Manchester City, not sure we will be very lucky.
Gabriel coming in clutch for me to negate that 15 points icopress got from Sanches. Could have been catastrophic week for me but in the end it was ok. Even small green arrow to brag about Smiley

This GW winner should be icopress with 68 points. Results will be official tomorrow when official page calculates everything but I think 3rd party sites have caught up with BPS changes and should be accurate once again.

I get your point but don't really agree with it. I am missing proper strikers in modern football. Coaches make them play everything and in the process they loose on finishing in general and on concentration when that big chance happens. In the end it all about scoring goals and if you have as much creativity as you have in the City, you just need the guy to put all those chances away.

I always hated them Grin
I agree about the City comment, said it here myself:

Don't get me wrong BTW, I think Haaland is perfect for City. I just don't feel that his numbers are *that* great.

He regularly outscores his xG though, meaning that he's elite in what he does best - although it doesn't always look like that.

From a guy who supports Liverpool; it was supposed to be a Haaland vs Nunez debate, both players came in right about the same window If I recall correctly and it was as though Nunez is going to be the real deal from watch the Liverpool vs Man City community shield match that season, all that is history now. After 4 games there is no premier league team with more goals than Haaland  Cheesy

In such situations, you'd argue whether 27 in 29 is actually that great. A 20-goal striker that gets you 7-10 assists, leads the press and helps in creative part of the game would maybe be a better choice.
