Oh Padi you play FPL with your kid? That's beautiful I'm so jealous, tell him to sign up for next season or better join the Bottler league V2.0 mid season.  Grin

Haha, yeah, he actually played it way before I did, just that I haven't been into it. Then this season funny enough, he didn't take time to set his squad up properly whereas I did.

He only just turned 21 so yeah, for sure, next season. He knows I do a bit of er, gaming, just of course, one shouldn't set such degen examples for their children haha. I'll get him to consider bottlers 2.0. I'm a regular there anyway Wink But of course, this season I want to play properly! See how far this goes...

Like Trofo says, South Americans get it bad and we have quite a number of them every season.

Yes but i also think in this "first" international break is not so much important the rest you can get for not playing because is not so much the stress acumulated or the fatigue in this part of the season, but yes most in the middle of the season this breaks can bring back some player to full level.

He will not be entirely out of rotation very soon when Liverpool starts to play on multiple front, it's just yet to be seen if he'll be the choice for EPL or European competitions, I'm sure he'll manage to be the regular choice for one or the other, we've also got multiple Liverpool players that are not even getting almost any playing including the likes of Gakpo, and Nunez, they should be getting about 20-25 consistent minutes too over the next few weeks, and more so it takes just barely a knock to player and the whole new structure could undergo complete changes.

Yeah, but he won't be a surprise then anymore and everybody will get him cheaper than I did. So even if he does play, it is still a wrong move for me.

What's the situation with Watkins? He withdrew from the unimportant England game but I think he should be fit to play, right? The app says minor knock.

I think nothing is wrong with Watkins, it's likely the same case with Cole Palmer, these are just necessary precautions taken by the players as they're reported to be recovering from minor issues they were playing with, barring any new issues, then I don't think either of them is at a risk of not playing over the coming game week.
That is called "international team injury". In other words players skipping on not important games for national teams in order to nurse minor inconveniences or just get back to full fitness. I think Watkins will actually benefit a lot from this international break while many South Americans and Asians will have fitness problems. Some of them are playing on Wednesday night

Shame about Quansah, was supposed to be my edge and now seems like my biggest failure. Liverpool with 3 CS and he fully out of rotation and with -0.2mil in value.

Yep, I think I will not as well. Some minor modifications would make my team better but I'll rather wait for Arsenal's difficult fixture list to end and then wildcard to assemble my team around them.

Now I'm sure everyone in the pool is going to be getting Haaland Salah and Palmer. It's going to be even harder to close the gap.
Beauty this season is that you can't have all. And as always you should stay ahead of the curve to catch up and not getting players that hauled last week.

I was 100% sure of pulling my wildcard right after the international break before, but now to be honest I don't think it is worth it just yet, aside the couple of doubts on some players, I'm think some of them would be on limited playing time as well, so maybe I should just weather the next two game weeks' storm with my regular free transfers as I've initially planned from when I was setting up my team, since I at least have the luxury of not having any injured or missing players still.

The other main problem with Haaland on the Fantasy game is he is the only super sure forward of the game (adn yes i know we still have Solanke and Watkins) but super reliable is only him,
Haaland is a good goal scorer, but not super reliable in every game. We know he has few touches in games, but there are games where he blanks completely, and in some of those games, you may even expect his performance to be good.

Well, that was exactly me few weeks ago, failed to TC Halaand against Ipwish and deep down I was hopping for him to blank...
Because he blanks in some games is still the reason why some people do not have him and why some others that have him are not fully confident in him.

If Arsenal can get a good goal scorer, he will be reliable too to an extent because we create enough chances, Chelsea too.

Can you believe that I'm hoping for him to be unavailable? I don't want him injured, just... maybe the victim of a weird rotation scheme Pep suddenly wants to do. My kid was asking me: why do you have him and yet want him to get yellow or not score? I say simply: just having him in the squad to be competitive, but much prefer him not to be in anyone's squad so I can build the actual team I want. I agree, even Salah should be unavailable to bring equilibrium back to FPL.

Too much Salah hype, I'm not buying just want to add Palmer to my squad and that's all..

So.... he just doesnt score with Norway against Kazajistan.....

I really want to see the faces of all of you when Haaland get an injured in this international break and you have to reshufle the whole team and start to make crazy moves to re-acomodate the team, and here we are gonna be the people without him (2823382 points behind) laughing at full noise.

Is gonna be a very good balsam for everyone of us who doesnt have him and also a healty move for the fantasy.

Like Trofo said, this isn’t luck you played everyone into counting you amongst the underdogs, I would have considered you lucky if you don’t have a team like you currently have, I mean why aren’t you playing with Endo and Nunez ??

If everyone is approaching the Wildcard window then maybe one could expect you to ruin your team as usual, but you’re really locked in like Liverpool’s new coach.

Thanks for making me feel like a genius. I have to admit, I looked at my squad now and I really like it. I would only slowly try and build up a balance, maybe swap out Isak for an even cheaper option, to pack my midfield with another Villa or Brighton guy. Nunez and Endo haha, old me would have captained Nunez but not Endo, not when Salah and Jota are in there (I even say Diaz would be my choice in place of Jota, and then TAA actually is always in my dream team, he almost scored last game too). But he's not even starting games now, so I would be getting 1 point every game if I played Nunez...

I caved in and brought Salah last night. With the fixtures Liverpool has he is in my mind even more important than Haaland. Everyone is talking about Haaland since he scores hat tricks but Salah has so far matched him point for point and he costs 2.5M less. It even costed me -4 points but if I get some injuries to my team I am very close to pulling wildcard over int break and removing that minus.

Now that I have both one of them will stop scoring for sure Smiley

Im actually surprised how good Salah is playing this season and now everybody is getting him. I think i wont get him at all this season from my point of view. Got Haaland and Palmer hopefully they can pull the season. A little no fun with everyone having Haaland in their team. I think you should save your wildcard its still early to use it only if your team isnt really really bad. I got some Man Utd players and cannot get rid of them but i will try slowely each week to rebuild the team and remove all Man Utd players and try and get maybe some from Liverpool.

Oh no, now Trofo also has both of them, it definitely means one of them will stop producing haha. But seriously, Trofo's right -- these guys both started so well, but I feel Salah is actually the one much better in his game, he is by far the best and most comfortable player on the pitch. You know what I feel is the difference? Both of them had one month summer break. No Eqypt duties, no Norway duties, unlike last season. AFCON broke Salah and he came back so tired (well, everyone did), Haaland's going to have a crazy Club World Cup tournament this season, the number of games is stupid. Liverpool's bane each season has been fatigue -- City have a deeper squad so don't feel it so much but I'm hoping Slot's energy-saving tactics are going to mitigate the fatigue factor we have.

In past seasons I was quite brutal with transfers. Regularly take negative point hits, but this one seems a bit better with the ability to save 5, so I'll try my best not to take any hits. Still haven't quite worked out when to use chips, but with the fixture list, I won't have to worry for several more games unless injury or suspensions hit.

Beauty this season is that you can't have all. And as always you should stay ahead of the curve to catch up and not getting players that hauled last week. Granted those that you have mentioned are probably able to haul every week, especially Haaland and Salah. Chelsea and both Palmer and Madueke had one freak game against Wolves and that is it. I am not rating them that high. Trent who is classified as defender has better attacking data then both of them.
Are you sure about TAA's minutes? Earlier substitutes of him and the good form of Bradley can say that when UCL starts somebody of both will play in UCL, somebody in EPL .
Also Palmer has penalties and he will not play in UCL that makes him more fresher each week. I saw today Chelsea's statement where they said that he out of the list of players who plays conference league.
Not so much. But subs around 70th minute for defender are actually quite handy. What you loose on attacking points you gain trough early clean sheet points that will sometimes get wiped out after his sub. As long as he starts and plays more than 60 I am fine with him. But Robbo also looks good and he is 1M cheaper...

Again we always come to the same problem, a lot of though choices this season, we can't have all the players we want. And after GW6 when Arsenal games turn good it will be even tougher since 3 Arsenal look like a must then.

You copycat Angry I had just got in Salah recently but on a wildcard, but it costed me Saka.

Which is fine because I'm pretty sure Salah will outscore him anyway.

I had somehow manage to go no-Arsenal in my current draft, and I'm not sure I'm too happy with that.

Now I'm sure everyone in the pool is going to be getting Haaland Salah and Palmer. It's going to be even harder to close the gap.

Liverpool have some really nice fixtures after the break and it would be extremely difficult to integrate Salah into my team without using Wildcard and some part of me is still thinking it's too early to use the WC chip but deep down I want Salah to be able to climb positions.

Another Halaand after international break haul??? I will be there...

What happens to our accumulated FT after WC?

As per the FPL announced changes for this season, I believe all saved or accumulated transfers will be retained whenever you play your Free Hit or Wild Card, perhaps those who had played their Wildcard can help us confirm this.

FIVE free transfers
Up until now, you've only been able to bank two free transfers. Well, if you want to be patient and plan ahead, you can now accumulate up to FIVE free transfers.

On top of that, when you play the Wildcard and Free Hit chips, your saved transfers will no longer reset to zero.

So you can now save five free transfers, then play any of your chips and immediately have five free transfers to use in the following Gameweek.

You've always been able to keep two free transfers when playing the Bench Boost and Triple Captain chips, so there's no real change there - except that you can now bank the extra three free transfers as well!
