It's a lot more nuanced than that. Investors are rewarded (with EV) proportional the amount of risk they take. So in cases of a full-kelly bet the investors have 100% the profits (with no commissions of any kind charged), and a bet with no risk they would have no rewards. And for everything in between they get everything in between. There's an active discussion on the MP thread if you want to join in =)

JD only takes 10% of the PROFIT each week, too, and takes none if your profit ever goes to negative (i.e., if you made 1 BTC this week, but it went down to 0.99 BTC next week, there would be no commission until that 0.01 BTC was re-gained).

With MP, the amount is based on the bets, win or lose, not just profit. So whether or not a player wins, a small portion is siphoned from the bankroll (at least this is my understanding, based on how the site owners are paid).

Yep, I had requested that as I'm more of a "I'd rather win some of a little than a lot of nothing" mindset. That said, it really just affects variance, theoretically (i.e., you will win less often with just one winner, but when you win, you win a lot more).
