Actually there is a difference where if you are careful enough to see fake and real website. The fake website it is clearly use iokex and the real website is okex.

This is why we need to bookmark every sites exchange to avoid phising website being scammed. Moreover if you aren't intens to come to the exchange and the chance to be scammed is widely open.

Or you can avoid it to choose android wallet, I mean currently most exchange in this crypto space certainly have a platform to support in smartphone. It is more safe rather you come to browser.

It’s vital for one to be on high alert with these exchanges. It’s not the first one and is not the last one either, so we have to be extremely careful with the way we go about approach things. So just got to be sensible with selection of our options we pick.
Yeah, these had been known after all the years had passed but there are still fools that who do get easily hooked and scammed by these fake exchangers.
I would say that they are just too careless because everything can already be searched up online, it just do take up some little effort for you to verify everything
before you would make a deposit.

Scammers are never resting and will continue to look for every possible way to carry out their acts. In the case of visiting exchanges and to be on the safer side, I always find it better and wise bookmarking the websites in this case you will be sure. Another way is going through coinmarketcap, also you will be sure you are visiting the right website. We all need to be careful everyday.
As long the market or any places do involves money, those scammers wont really be gone and would still continue to fool people who are just too
careless or too dumb to understand even the basic of the basics.

Well, phishing sites like this have been made a lot, because of that, sometimes people need to be careful when writing links on a site. This has happened in this forum, even Myetherwallet. many people try to imitate the name of even the template of a large site to trick users, so they can get data from that user. I think it is not only OKEX that has something like this, but this is a very useful information

To avoid access a scam website, I suggest you should bookmark the real adress in your browser. And before login, rember you already look at the adress bar to sure you type a correct adress of website. Before, My friend lost many thing by use google to find "myetherwallet" and access in the 1st in the searching table. He login in the scam website, upload JSON file to login and scammer get everything in his wallet
This is the key to avoid getting into the fake exchanges. When you are trading often, let's say you are trading every day might as well bookmark the website or platform where you are trading so you can easily access it with just a simple click, or put it on your favorites so it will pop up whenever you are typing on the search bar. I've been seeing a lot of this recently, some are typosquatting the original website that it would look like it is the original website but its not. So everyone should be aware on the sites, always check the security of the website, google can easily detect it.

The old exchange sites are far better and more reliable Newcomers are scamming more That's why we've to take care before exchanging it Okex.com Exchange This site may be a real scam. I never did but one among my friends lost his money by exchanging this site That's why we should always stand back from the links on this sit. Scammers can't make much impact on these old sites These sites are very familiar and everybody can easily catch the important or fake. These are scams, albeit the name of their website may be a little change so you've got to take care.

There are a lot of fake exchanges that are big ones with a slightly different name. When I first entered the market, I lost money because of scam exchanges like this. I have learned from it and saved it in important tabs. so that when I needed it, just by clicking on the old link I could access the exchange I needed. It is the safest way to protect our money.

That's really sucks. Angry I saw the same tricks a year ago with MyEtherWallet website. Same web design and just 1/2 word changed from domain name. Lots of people didn't find that tricks and gave scammers their privet key. Rest of the story everyone knows. That's why i always bookmark important websites link always. I don't know how much safe is that but still work for me. And for these kinda situation it's better to enable 2FA verification and always ask for any help in main telegram group chat.
Bookmarking is much more better if you arent really fan on making googles searches because most people who got victimized on this kind of
scamming or phishing are to those lazy people who just carelessly clicked on top searched when they do type a certain sites name on that search bar.
This had been pretty common wayback when it comes to phishing attempts and if you dont have those keen eyes when it regards to spelling then
you'll lose your money.

Back in the past, there were lots of Cex.io like exchange site but had been busted and i didnt expect that this kind of method does still exist today
in spite this one is already been busted.

Yeah, you are right cause anyone can bring their website on the first page to using google advertisement. People can not spelling every time when they visit a website. So they don't check it carefully and do that mistake which one scammers want to. So that's why i thought bookmarking is simple idea to avoid this kinda situation.

Maybe they consider acting on reports made by a certain minimum number of people

I think so, when i reported them i also try to send email to domain provider of iokex, but unfortunatelly i can't find their abuse email from whois domain tools.

Maybe it is better if you transfer this to Scam accusation section
https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/debonaire217-2409302
so you cans ave more people while this fake exchange is still operation.
Though the way i see it,this is an obvious scam site because even the domain Name are very Different like with letter "I" is the fake and the original remains as OKEX so basically they are far different .

Fake exchange many people are losing money because they log in to the fake one and once they start trading the hacker gets the password and email or anything information of the trader they have. Just always double check  every single letter of the link thay you click to make sure that is legit website that you login so your coins will be safe because our safety depends on us.

I don't understand Indonesian Language but a report from @masulum last month makes it seem like at one point the fake domain was on google Ads (I am not sure whether it is till there though)

Yes i see iokex on google ads last month, even last week i still seeing this fake domains on google ads. I don't know whats wrong with my report, since google not deleting this ads, maybe need more support from community to report ads before they are deleting that ads content.
That's the most annoying thing. There is probably nothing wrong with your report. I have also reported dozens and dozens of domains but even when they are clear scam or phishing attempts but nothing gets done by Google which is kind of discouraging.

Maybe they consider acting on reports made by a certain minimum number of people

It is amazing that the site was registered in 2018. Has he really worked for 2 years? It is difficult to imagine how many people could fall into the trap during this period.
Another reminder is that when working with cryptocurrency, you must constantly be in high alert mode.

That is the problem, because we still have newbies every day in the market and they might fall for this fake trading websites. Even experience once can still be victimised here because the website looks very legit as it is a exact copy. And another issue is that those fake exchanges can be seen thru Google Ads, so unless you used some form of adblocker, total noobs might see this fake exchanges while searching and then got scam or phished resulting in a loss of their part. Everyone should be very careful and check everything before trading.

This isn't happening just with the okex cryptocurrency exchange. Similar fake sites were into operation for most of the cryptocurrency exchanges that are popular in the market. Every exchange in its homepage gives a description on the same, to bookmark the real URL. This will help the user land into the legitimate exchange and not into the fake exchanges.

With the increasing demand for cryptocurrency there will be more and more ways explored to trap people. It is our responsibility to overcome all this issues and use the right one.
