That's really sucks. Angry I saw the same tricks a year ago with MyEtherWallet website. Same web design and just 1/2 word changed from domain name. Lots of people didn't find that tricks and gave scammers their privet key. Rest of the story everyone knows. That's why i always bookmark important websites link always. I don't know how much safe is that but still work for me. And for these kinda situation it's better to enable 2FA verification and always ask for any help in main telegram group chat.
Bookmarking is much more better if you arent really fan on making googles searches because most people who got victimized on this kind of
scamming or phishing are to those lazy people who just carelessly clicked on top searched when they do type a certain sites name on that search bar.
This had been pretty common wayback when it comes to phishing attempts and if you dont have those keen eyes when it regards to spelling then
you'll lose your money.

Back in the past, there were lots of Cex.io like exchange site but had been busted and i didnt expect that this kind of method does still exist today
in spite this one is already been busted.

They definitely got stricter, but there still are loopholes that people can abuse to get their scammy ads into Google. While the ads get removed quite quickly, it's safe to assume that their strategy is get-as-much-clicks-before-it-gets-removed. After they get banned, they simply create new Google ads accounts.

Whenever a publisher gets banned on Google Ads, he or she isn't allowed to create another account or return, just like how this forum treat permanent bans.

But how fast Google tracks them is uncertain, as KYC is involved. All I know is that their AI tends to check the ads submitted for approval with some degree of error.

It’s totally fake exchange. So if anybody try to login with the details of real okex exchange might be phished. And the most serious things when this type of exchange links comes through the google ads in the top of first page. So always we should bookmarked the useful links for further usages.

If someone does not pay attention to the URL maybe this fake exchange can steal some accounts. It is very obvious that it is fake I guess only newbie will fall into this kind of bad activity. Prevention is better so we need to bookmark important websites like exchanges and wallets to avoid phishing. I also install browser phishing extension like Metacert for safety.

Wow nice information to look at on, I believe few investors have already fall into there trap. But rest assured we all will take note over this.

Those new crypto users maybe who don't check if the site is legit.
Scammers will try and try creating those fake sites because they are hoping that one way or another, someone will take their bait.
So be careful guys. Now, they are more aggressive as a lot of people are in front of their computers.

I doubt it's from Google. If you were to check those top news sites like Cointelegraph and Coindesk, they rely on another network. Google's pretty finnicky when it comes to crypto ads.

Those rumbling of letters and adding in the midst to make it look like the legit.

Binance has also the same copycat before but it's the letter 'i' that made it different because it's replaced by a different font of the same letter. Visitors must always check the url's properly.

Can you specify which Bitcoin news site you've seen this ad? Also, this might be quite farfetched but do you remember if it's a Google AdSense ad or another ad network?

Recently when I want to read about Bitcoin news, I saw some advertisement of bitcoin exchange, the domain is iokex.com. When I click it that's link. it's okex exchange not ikoex. The interface is really same like the real okex exchange, only difference on the bitcoin price only. I make this thread to inform you guys to stay away from this exchange, check carefully about the domain first before use it.
