Someone is messing with the wallet prayer feature again.

Its not funny.... and its not me.  The prayers should be reserved for a bona-fide prayer list so we can help the sick.

******************* BIBLEPAY     --    ONE-CLICK SANCTUARY INSTALLATION SCRIPT FOR VMS OR HOME USE *******************

URL:
https://github.com/biblepay/biblepay/blob/master/contrib/masternode-install.sh

Instructions:
1.  Lease a VMS (for example the Vultr Ubuntu 18/64)
2.  Download the script to the VMS:
     cd ~
     wget URL

3.  Ensure script is executable:
     chmod 777 masternode-install.sh

4.  Run the script:
     ./masternode-install.sh

Follow the prompts.  The script will ask you if you would like to compile from source or binary.

5.  Copy the Sanctuary private key to the controller wallet masternode.conf file, and finish configuration of the Sanctuary.

All credit goes to MIP for creating the script.   And of course to Yeshua for maintaining all of BiblePay.

Update on GIN, Its been 3 days, Im still in WATCHDOG_EXPIRED state,
I got emailed yesterday by support saying they would be working on BiblePay

Sounds like mintnodes is working now

Has anyone tried out Apollon?
Mintnodes is working now.

Hopefully GIN tries watchman-on-the-wall next.

Considering the popularity of the one-click-sanctuary setup and mintnodes, Ill regroup with you guys on the idea of IPFS end-user mining (in contrast to requiring IPFS on sancs), in an effort to preserve the HODL investment opportunity with Biblepay.

Hey guys, Im new to SSH, Im trying to compile and start biblepay in way where I dont have to watch or wait on the output or for the process to end

##### COMPILE
ssh [email protected] make -C /home/biblepay/src

##### START
ssh [email protected] /home/biblepay/src/biblepayd -daemon

===

#ssh [email protected] screen -d -m /home/biblepay/src/biblepayd -daemon
#ssh [email protected] screen -d -m make -C /home/biblepay/src

I tried screen -d -m but it doesnt seem to be working for me, am I missing something?
Without the screen -d -m works fine but I have to wait for it to finish

Reference:
https://superuser.com/questions/454907/how-to-execute-a-command-in-screen-and-detach

You can put & at end of any command to send it to the background.

biblepayd --daemon essentially sends it to the background for you, so adding & is redundant

You can also send something to the background with control+z then type bg (https://superuser.com/questions/476873/what-is-effect-of-ctrl-z-on-a-unix-linux-application)

I usually let the compile run in the foreground because there's too many things that could go wrong, especially with a new build, so I like to watch it.

the other stuff, you can set up a cronjob to have a shell script or command run after a reboot. (https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/109804/crontabs-reboot-only-works-for-root)
this runs as root (I think), so you may need to review the script, make explicit paths, test, etc.

How do you get these prayers or messages or whatever they are on the overview page of the wallet?  Who writes them?

In the GUI Wallet, in the Send tab, next to the Amount section, there is a checkbox for "Prayer Request", I believe if you click that and add text to the "Send Message" field and send the transaction, the text will become an in-wallet prayer.
I believe anyone can write a prayer, but Im not sure how much BBP it costs

How long does it stay up?  Is there any moderation involved?  There is some increasingly weird stuff showing up on there LOL Grin

I'm not sure on duration, it's probably in the code thought.

As far as moderation, Rob seems to have a way to overwrite prayers he deems improper.

I agree. We need a prayer filter of some type. Or at least an on/off button so the prayers/comments/religious-opinions are not always on the main overview page.

EDIT: this was discussed recently, Rob is working on some ideas/solutions.

It is Rosetta required at all if it is supporting WCG? I started with rosetta but migrate to WCG so I could double dip with byteball-sparc-neummanium

Rob said future BiblePay release will not require Rosetta RAC at all. For now, it does. I think if you crunch one Rosetta occasionally (so your Rosetta RAC is never 0), you should be fine. I'm primarily 99% on WCG now for the quadruple dip, and to help with Thor challenge.

Didn't help on my end either. But if I am correct, Android mining as 'unbanked-only' (so if you want to mine without staking) only works with Rosetta.

This is an interesting question. I primarily crunch WCG on Android, but get Rosetta from time to time. If Rosetta RAC is 0, I wonder if we will get 0 PoDC payment. Rob said upcoming version won't require Rosetta RAC, so hopefully that applies to unbanked Android ARM crunching too.

There numbers are from R@H and it seems that there are indeed very little Android tasks.
My unbanked-CPID is:

Rob wants to know if you did not get paid recently because you are Android ARM unbanked.

Payments were steady as a rock until September 26th. After that I haven't received a payment. That is due to the fact that I have not received any tasks from R@H for a while. I will restart my phone now to see if that solves the issue.

My first guess is that R@H simply doesn't have enough Android tasks at the moment. At least, in the past it has happened that there weren't any Android tasks for a while.

Code:
Rosetta for Android	0	153	4.91 (2.77 - 26.07)	51

Restarting my Android didn't help, so yesterday I switched from Rosetta to WCG. It immediately downloaded tasks and began crunching.
