Does anyone here have a non-bbp and non-grc CPID?  We need help in testnet from an outsider with more than 250 RAC.

I joined OByte team, but I reported in 1484, I was stuck at Loading PoDC researchers for some reason before I could even see the Overview part of the wallet.

Re: Pool Name

Remember, there's only a few days left before I pick a name for my pool. Please upvote your favorite on reddit:
https://www.reddit.com/r/BiblePay/comments/e78dy9/vote_on_the_name_of_my_mining_pool_first_place/?sort=controversial

Just upvote, no downvoting. First place will win 10k BBP. As a bonus, I've extended the contest to 2nd and 3rd place winner. Although you do not get to name the pool, I will offer a small token of appreciation for your participation.

*** TestNet->Prod help before Christmas ***

We could use a little help on this other side project.
This involves verifying that our TestNet branch (1.4.8.4) runs against Prod properly.  (This readies the RC1 release in testnet to be released at Christmas time).

If you want to help, please verify that you can sync against prod, mine against nomp pools (using 1.4.8.4), that you stay in sync, that you can see the proposals, the leaderboard, and that you stay in sync overnight (through the GSC superblock height which can be found in exec health under 'next superblock' height).

To download the binary please see the OP post here:
https://forum.biblepay.org/index.php?topic=465.new#new

And please post replies in that thread if you are a prod-tester (tell us in the post you are prod-testing not testnet testing) etc.

Thanks!

NOTE:  Please verify the binary is actually 1.4.8.4 when you start it.  It must be 1.4.8.4 or newer.

BBP at 1 satoshi (0.00000001 BTC) on SouthXchange:
https://www.southxchange.com/Market/Book/BBP/BTC

Since 2017 to today, I had sold only about 2 million BBP on the exchanges, and that was always by making a sell order! So I am constantly struggling to understand who is selling BBP so much, and more importantly, why do they take the buy orders instead of just making a sell order?

And then there are those "666" and other autosell bots, which I also find extraordinary because I calculated that millions of BBP were used for selling in those programmed intervals, so the "opposed individuals" own a big amount of BBP, which begs the question why are they so determined to lower the price of BiblePay.

I presume long-term loyal members such as miners or sanctuary owners would not crash their own holdings by taking the buy orders, especially because they are not in a rush to sell. What is left are profit takers, so are there many of them in the silence? Afterall the price is for the good part the result of the mining profitability, so the miners could even be making money with BBP at 1 satoshi. In that case, I think this is an issue we need to look into, to improve the economic model of mining.

The person(s) selling the 666 and the 6 and mini amounts are clearly mischevious and have ill-intent.  Because their script is very clearly designed to pull our price down on a regular interval to the lower satoshi (its basically trying to say falsely:  BBP is sagging, BBP has a lot of sellers, and BBP is dying).  My best guess on this script is either Slovakia or Michelle (who I believe is Slovakia), because this same person(s) changes their nick in the chatroom and bash us regularly.  I changed my Language in SX so I don't have to read our chat room anymore - its too depressing to read.

On people crashing their own holdings, some of the haters would rather see us destroyed and die than have a chance at regaining our strength.  This reminds me of how I caught someone uploading viruses into childrens letters in the pool server, someone was sending massive numbers of variations of '6.66' tithes to the foundation until we blocked variants of 6.66, someone is attacking our DSQL server(s) using scripts until they were protected with Cloudflare (they clearly want them down), hackers were constantly trying to break in and steal the pool funds, people are creating fake letters and upvoting them within their own family, etc.

Finally there is some type of bot on SX (I think it might be unplugged now), where the bot buys 1 sat cheaper, and the moment we sell into that price the bot re-sells the BBP it just gained 1 sat higher (prostituting our price).  Thats how we got about 40 mil or so of the sells on the board, impo.  They are hanging on to regain their BTC back.  Impo, I hope they just shut it down and I hope they do get their money back, but Id rather not have the 'liquidity bot' in general, as I feel a free floating price is better.

Anyone reached out to SouthXchange about the BBP wallet being stuck on block 162029?

Yeah, they notified me a couple hours ago (before I read this forum).
They are working on restarting the sync now.

I'm very interested to see why removing litemode=1 is fixing the problem;  Ill try to reproduce that now (I believe SX uses litemode=1 to ensure they are on the heaviest chain also) meaning they probably experienced the same issue.

I'll consider putting it in the sell queue next time. I hope you can appreciate with a personal life, I can't really babysit a sell order with time constraints.

Thanks for considering, I hope others will consider too. There is no babysitting or spending any more time compared to selling directly into a buy order. You just put up a sell order and leave the website, it's the same amount of time. After a few days or weeks, if you want to sell more, you just withdraw the BTC from the previous sell order, if it was filled. If not, then next time. So if you are concerned about time, timewise it's the same, the only difference is that you don't get the BTC immediately, but I believe you are well off and not desperate to liquidate BBP.

Also, as a bonus for making a sell order, you will get more BTC compared to selling into a buy order. And not just by price difference, but also fee difference. When you make a sell order, SX takes a 0.1% fee, but when you take a buy order, the fee is 0.3%. https://www.southxchange.com/Home/Fees

I Am Jesus Christ videogame trailer was released:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/1198970/I_Am_Jesus_Christ/

I contacted their publisher PlayWay by email to let them know about BiblePay

===

Over Thanksgiving break, I saw the Mister Rogers movie: "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood", I liked it

Official Trailer #2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9M_Ry0N5cA

Afterwards I read his whole wiki page, it was interesting to hear that he was Christian, but he didn't preach about it, just lived his life in that way

"Rogers was a Presbyterian, and many of the messages he expressed in Mister Rogers' Neighborhood were inspired by the core tenets of Christianity. Rogers rarely spoke about his faith on air; he believed that teaching through example was as powerful as preaching. He said, "You don't need to speak overtly about religion in order to get a message across""

I sold 1.44M BBP to forward to Cameroon one and kairos for the holiday gifts. there was 750k bbp bid left at 2 sat but I see it got filled after me.

So if I understand correctly, you have taken a buy order from the market? By removing a buy order you have decreased liquidity and health of the coin. Why? I can understand the holiday gifts is an exception because you needed it in time for the holidays, but for other purposes, can't you just make a sell order in advance, before you need to pay something in dollars?

Personally, price is less important in itself. whether bbp exists or not in the future, we are being faithful in Christ's call to help the poor.

Price is not so important if it's greater than zero. But if it's zero, there is no price, therefore you can't turn BBP to USD to be able to help the poor. So it's not true that we are helping the poor whether BiblePay exists or not.

I think I sold some personal BBP once. I'll consider putting it in the sell queue next time. I hope you can appreciate with a personal life, I can't really babysit a sell order with time constraints. There are bigger forces at play here with a crypto winter, December slump, etc. Until BTC reaches another ATH and crashes, I don't think we'll see BBP price rise short of attracting more long-term buyers that believe in the project. Price is secondary as I serve the Lord first. Perhaps you can see the current BiblePay price ends up being a blessing later. What is most important to you -- the price of BiblePay or to forward Christian values? BiblePay is only a tool IMO for promoting Christian values. Let's cry out to God for divine intervention and pray that our labor for the Lord may multiply with fruit.

What is the current block and block hash?

Ive tried erasechain on the explorer twice now but I keep getting to block 162029 and stopping
(second time I deleted everything in data folder and upgraded to latest version v1.4.5.4b)

My windows wallet says block 162145

getblockhash 162029
7f6895b6d19e75d452b89480f08c5443c68bf69c358c4da835be158141c0dd8e

They both agree on this block hash, hmmm

you're reaching a conclusion purely on opinion.

December traditionally is a time to sell for end of year. buying holiday gifts, minimizing capital gains, etc

It has been a very bad season for all alts in general, even for some of the more stablished ones like Dash, ETH or PiVX.

Let's pray for Biblepay so we all obtain the necessary inspiration and strength to make this humble, but great project, be fruitful.

On my Windows it works but on my Linux wallet I get empty list :
Code:
./biblepay-cli masternodelist status
{
}

And

Code:
./biblepay-cli masternodelist full
{
}

Both are using same latest version.

It usually takes about 15 mins for the governance to sync.
On the linux box, see if you have 999 when you type : 'mnsync status'.  (And verify you dont have litemode=1 in the config file).
If it still doesnt work by now, stop the node, delete governance.dat and mncache.dat and mnp*.dat, and restart the node and wait til 'mnsync status' shows 999 then you can re-run the command.

Thanks!
the problem was litemode=1
