My i5 gives aprox 230k, my friends ryzen 1700 give 500-600k.
I run 10-11 threads and he run 30-35.

Wow, what is your i5 model? My i7 7770 get only 170k, but your i5 hashrate more than mine  Shocked

I heard that ryzen 1700 is cool, the hashrate is awesome.

@bible_pay: Could you maybe explain the fact that only ~70% of blocks are found each day?

26928 minutes / 2675 blocks = 10.0665 minutes/block

I haven't read through the source related to block time, but I believe that BBP is forked from Dash which is forked from Litecoin which is forked from Bitcoin. I don't know about Dash and Litecoin, but Bitcoin has a 10 minute block time, which is very close to what we're seeing. I wonder if the 7 minute block time rule is being ignored and it's just defaulting to this.

What you think about this hashps
I have about 1060k and haven't found a single block in the last 20 hours. jc12345 here also said a similar thing with a 600k hash.

Copy+paste here your hashps, and what is your cpu?

6 x E5-2673 v3 + i7 2600k + some i5.

Around 140k per one E5, 150k for i7 and 70k for i5.

What's your machine? It's very high if it is just one processor, nice.

Me too, total 270k mining with 4 computers in 24hours, but did not mine a single block yet. How is the calculation of probability getting a block?

What news about the pool? When to expect? In solo I help i3 find blocks only with the help of prayer.

[...] every 10th block is automatically assigned to the orphan wallet.
How does this work exactly? Miners do not get the reward even though they found the block? If that's the case, I share your opinion that it would be better to take 10% from every block, because of the reasons you explained earlier.

There are over 500 connections on my external node; that leads me to believe by 500 distinct users, thats where they are going.
Happy_merchant should be able to help answer, that would mean that the block explorer will show distinct keys for almost every block.

Well, about all I can say is that roughly half of all BBP in existence is being held in receiving addresses that hold 40k or less BBP. But, I'm sure a lot of the major holders haven't consolidated all their BBP under one address, so it's hard to say how many users that represents. The Biblepay node for the block explorer has capped out at 500 connections a couple times, although there's only 153 right now probably since the daemon crashed a few hours ago and had to be restarted.

Personally, I'm not seeing any major issues with the rewards on my miners. I started mining the day after Biblepay launched and I've gotten 42 blocks. So, a very rough estimate would be:

42 / (2671 - 267) = 0.0175 = 1.75%

The "- 267" is because every 10th block is automatically assigned to the orphan wallet. Since I actually missed out on a days worth of mining at the start, the percentage should actually be a little higher. I'm currently contributing a little bit over 2% of the network hashrate and that's pretty consistent with what I've been contributing at other points when I checked. Considering that I haven't had 100% uptime on my miners, mining 1.75% of the blocks seems pretty reasonable, and the sample size is large enough that it should be meaningful even if it's an estimate.

If there is a problem somewhere, it'll be obvious when the pool goes live. The pool will likely make up a huge percentage of the network hash and we'll be able to track every block it mines. That'll provide a very accurate source of statistical data.

Dumb question here but... there is no chance the luck is reduced based on physical location? Im finding 1 block per machine on a consistent daily basis and am hashing way below some of you. Dev, I know you mentioned you were in Dallas and I am in Tyler so I was curious.

And actually, that reminds me, since BBP is listed on an exchange now I need to see if I can start pulling price data from c-cex into the explorer.

Looks like I'll have to hold off on this. Attempts at calling the c-cex API to retrieve market info just trigger their Cloudflare DDoS protection. It's probably just an intermittent issue.

My i5 gives aprox 230k, my friends ryzen 1700 give 500-600k.
I run 10-11 threads and he run 30-35.
And did you find any blocks? For example, for your friend's 550k, he should find one block every 2 hours on average. Or maybe 3 hours because there are less blocks per day than it should be. But if he's finding much less than one block per 3 hours (8 blocks a day), I think something is wrong.

How much does he find?

He is finding much less. Im also getting less than anticipated. It almost seems like hashps doesnt matter, still i run it at high as i do not know if il get even less with lower hash.

Hope biblepay can clarify for us soon what is going on, and that pool will be up. But understandably it takes time for him with pool design form scratch and checking what is the issue.
Rome was not built in a day either. The potential here is so big it is worth mining even now before more discover the project. Hash is increasing rapidly every day.

And yes we should have Slack/Discord.

My opinion is a faster hash rate really is a faster hash rate; the wildcard is luck, and there is nothing wrong with the hashmeter.  The person with the 600k hashps should find 3* the blocks as the person with 200k hashps over a long period (over a couple months).

I do want the pool to come out, but I want it to come out without bugs.  We are now testing an alternate shares based submitting system, and also happy_merchant found a bug where once per night or so (not a severe bug) he drops out of the pool and misses the rewards for the block, working on that also, and also there is a long behind the scenes test cycle for windows.

Regarding the algorithm quick solved blocks back to back, its definitely something we can address when we gather the needs for a future mandatory.  We can retarget difficulty every block, and lower the stuck_block threshhold down to 30 minutes.  Its relatively minor problem for now so I have it on my punchlist for the next mandatory.

Regarding solo mining being dead, I am of the opinion that solo mining is still worth it for now, as long as a miner can find a block once per month, and we are still in the range of once per week or so.

I do apreciate your work and that it takes time to do things properly.
However, i have a hard time seing how we can all have bad luck? No one here have commented on having good luck, just getting 1/10th ish of what they should if anything. Still blocks are being found, but by who  Huh
