Without doubt, the BIG coin for 2015 will be BITSTAKE (XBS). It wouldn't be strange to be the next BILLION $ market cap coin.

Why? It has to be with african remmitances market, chek yourself  Wink: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitstakexbs-discontinued-920272

Absolutely NEM is one of the big projects launching this year. I think the developers and the community are really behind it. Certainly not a pump and dump. Though it may get pumped and dumped once or twice.

The OP gives a tentative launch date of this March and it's almost over.

Yeah, NEM has just launched: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.10943948

To me it seems that Bitcoin remains the no. 1 crypto currency "type of system", at least in the near future.

But there's upcoming big players in the alt / asset world, and in this topic we put together
and compare (not bash!) new groundbreaking tech and possible consequences ( to society,
economy, internet...) of those potential future currencies / assets / projects.

Ethereum
MaidSafeCoin
SuperNET
InstantDEX
etc

This topic is not about coming here and post an ad of your upcoming P&D coin X or
"your project and tech sucks, this X coin is better (because I own X coin)".

Let's discuss  Smiley

Bitcoin is the most substainable one in the future and for many generations hopfeully but alt coins are the most profitable at the moment theres only 4 which can be 2nd best to Bitcoin but the others are pump and dump money makers pick any for that with no premine.

can you expand on what you mean by "outer forces"

Anything. In cosmos it's black holes that destroy other stars.

So for instance a merchant with only a couple k coins but thousands of tx with many different other accounts with non zero importance...

This is called "positive feedback". Systems with positive feedback require outer forces to keep the balance.
