Why does it matters so much what he thinks? Hes just a guy who is regretting not getting in early into bitcoin despite knowing about it. And now just trying to release his anger by talking shit about bitcoin. Also since he doesn't has any stake in the crypto world he is disappointed.
Last time I have checked , there was an on going project at microsoft based on blockchain called Azzure if I remember well. What happend with that project ? Also there were many project involved into this mixing of projects into one.
I went over his statement, some of them are just true but when you read them all most of it is just his own opinion and there are no basis for it, so still its not also a reason for me to give up on crypto.

Yes, Bill Gates has stated that bitcoin is bad and will not have a good future. I think Bill Gates was wrong when he said bitcoin was bad. Because they are bringing a lot of profits and jobs to people around the world. The unemployed can also become wealthy by virtue of their diligence. And smart people get rich by trading the altcoins.

Do not you think that such a close-knit criticism of crypto-currency from digital whales seems strange? It seems that they are pursuing some hidden interest in this area. And may be Bill Gates is just blatantly mistaken like with his predictions about personal computers in the late 80's 
As far as I know, Bill Gates was very positive about crypto-currencies, I even saw a few videos on this topic, it seems to me that the author of this branch did not correctly understand what Bill Gates meant, he was just for bitcoin to develop.

I have no reasons to disagree with Bill Gates - CryptoCoins are used, using, and will use for crimes too, but don't you really think that fiat money dont used for crimes, or something? It's funny to think like that
Without crypto, tax evasion, money laundering and etc will still go on. It is not about the coins or channels, it is the people.
I think Bill Gates is not have sufficient knowledge about block chain technology rather than his own Microsoft corporation. Think he need to register in this forum and read some basics with gathering knowledge about crypto before he let any word about it.
Block chain technology capture all the transactions and it would be stored for ever, it can be tracked or traced for reference or to find which, when and how much received and paid cryptocurrency.
