Bill Gates is a wrinkled old prune these days, he had his multiple decades in the spotlight from 1980 through 2000s and was a huge authority on computer software, but I have no interest in what he has to say these days especially on the topics of finance and investment.

Perhaps in some ways Bill Gates is right, but most of us are engaged in cryptocurrency, because it can make a profit. And for me this is the main fact,I can make a profit without breaking the law. Therefore, I believe that the cryptocurrency is good for me and other people.

Why does it matters so much what he thinks? Hes just a guy who is regretting not getting in early into bitcoin despite knowing about it. And now just trying to release his anger by talking shit about bitcoin. Also since he doesn't has any stake in the crypto world he is disappointed.

Cryptocurrency is the best thing that has happened to mankind recently. It's the technology of that time. It's the world's smart economy. The advantages of cryptocurrency are extraordinary, and Bill Gates has a legitimate right to express his opinion on Cryptocurrency. With a new crypto economy in which more billionaires are made every day.
He is free to say everythin they want to anything but other also has their own opinion so we are free to describe it.
Cyptocurrency is the best technology so far where it can be made to solve many porblem which is happen in the real world.

He answers about cryptocurrency stating
“The main feature of crypto currencies is their anonymity. I don't think this is a good thing. The Government’s ability to find money laundering and tax evasion and terrorist funding is a good thing. Right now crypto currencies are used for buying fentanyl and other drugs so it is a rare technology that has caused deaths in a fairly direct way. I think the speculative wave around ICOs and crypto currencies is super risky for those who go long.”

He isn't wrong in his sense, if the cryptocurrency is to have a future, they should be able to create an environment of trust between themselves and the authorities.

He's absolutely right about that. Indeed until the government learn how to track them in the mercenary purposes to use it are rare.
Ugh, maybe government need to learn how to track a traditional paper money that's transacted across to globe for criminal purpose such as drugs dealing, criminalities, and many bad things instead of learning to track crypto because I tell you the truth, paper money is what most used for criminal activities, bitcoin? only a really small percentage of it.

Criminals also use Windows OS to buy and sell drugs and commit crimes. Really faulty logic by Gates here. :/

Maybe there is a big flaw in the cryptocurrency itself, but I think it will slowly improve and I hope that cryptocurrency will grow stronger and stronger.

I respect his opinion but I do not think so. There are many who are being led to such statements, although no one knows for sure whether the person actually said these words

Bill Gates is a smart individual and I think the problems that he brought up is super relative to our todays situation with crypto. I have always said that there are 2 big problems with crypto:
1) no authority and
2) hackers.
So everything else comes from that.

The fact that he says the best thing about cryptocurrencies is their anonymity shows just how ignorant he is on the subject.

Obviously the best features of modern cryptocurrencies is the low fee, near instantaneous transactions, whilst smart contracts open up a whole new industry of digital potential. Mined cryptocurrency might be a bad thing however, unless we can find a way to reduce the energy burden.

Bill is a wise guy, more importantly he`s a very rich guy. I think we should listen closely to his advice and opinion. As for me, I feel the same way, the biggest problem is that crypto is not regulated by someone
In this case what is the difference between crypto and other electronic money?
If someone will be regulate crypto why we should invest in this NON-decentralized currency. What is the reason?

Every person has his own opinion. Bill Gates is a rich and famous billionaire, but i can not according opinion to Bill Gates

It is obvious why rich people all over the world are now denouncing bitcoin, bitcoin is a threat, it seems they thought bitcoin was just a fad but now they're seeing that bitcoin has real traction this means that if bitcoin took over the economy of the world they will be the greatest losers, a poor person doesn't have anything to lose and the same is true for someone of the middle class but the rich, the ones at the top they do not want anything to change.

It seems to me that Bill Gates says stupid things. Cryptocurrency is just such a new thing, it's a new tool. With this tool you can do many good things.

Yes, it is really difficult because the state will be hard to adapt to the new currency.I think that over time cryptocurrencies will fit well into the financial state apparatus of the world
