thanks for the update, appreciated. is it normal right now that i often cannot click on a completely free potato - ie, the potato is almost yours message doesn't come up? i don't know what you updated since yesterday but i cannot click on any available potatoes now.

edit: yep i'm winning potatoes but no message comes up, i can tell because i just saw my ltc address waiting for payment when i hadn't even been notified!

To be honest we're not really sure either, word of mouth perhaps. As long as new users are consistently being brought to the site, potato prices will go up. Remember that 

On that note, we've just implemented a client-side fix for the on-going double win bug. We're still working on making sure the server doesn't send out duplicate win messages at all, but for the time being this will ensure your potatoes are a bit more secure! We're also still hammering away at version 2 of the website as well.


Also some of you may be noticing a lot of 502 bad gateway errors right now on the site. We're aware of the issue, it's being caused by the large amounts of traffic, and possibly some attempted DoS attacks. It should be mitigated shortly.

Was this on the GOD potato? I've noticed that also if so. I'm thinking it will be fixed soon, I already emailed them about it and work is currently being performed on the site but not sure if that is part of the agenda for tonight.

Just came back to check the thread. I only have one post yes but that is because I never actually post. I am rather active at BTC-E and I currently own 2 potatos and owned the gold potato when the site had issues the other day. They refunded my LTC in full including the .10 fee. They are not creating users and posting in this forum. Most of the people that vouched for them can be found on BTC-E...Stop by the trollbox and have a chat sometime.

Lol you're just being paranoid right there. I have an account here to discuss some issues i had with BP and i must say, its a very legit operation with no asskissing intentions. I love the way you could make some money out of this, that's why i've played the game a lot of times and i've gained like 80ltc in like a week or so, whilst others made maybe 50 a day or even more and some of them lost like everything.

Unfortunately, the game is losing the interests of potential players and therefor is no longer profitable on the long term. Sale prices are keep on dropping and botters are most likely to seize your potato before you could even blink your eyes. But i had some good luck a few times i guess..

I think the website needs to improve things to make it interesting to play again. If this trend is going to proceed, i guess within a week or two no one ever will buy a potato because of this:

50% Potato - Round 1 - collapsed @ 50LTC
50% Potato - Round 2 - collapsed @ 30LTC because 50 did not sell but 20 did.
50% Potato - Round 3 - collapsed @ 20LTC because 30 did not sell but 20 did
50% Potato - Round 4 - collapsed @ 10LTC because 20 did not sell but 5 did.

And so on till eventually no one will ever buy again and eventually drowns in the gutters of existence.
To bad cause id had great potential in the beginning. Just check this screenshot!
