Hey crackers any chance of you throwing up a BitBay multipool? I Would throw the rest of my hash power at it for sure and it would be a good way for miners with no BTC to get paid in Bay. I could put one up if you have too much to handle with your other pools, with my work schedule Im not sure if I would have the extra time to do it right or I would be working on getting one up already.

I think this would be a great idea.  Although the days of believing that a multipool will make a coin shoot to the moon are over (thankfully) there is still a great deal of advantage to backstopping a coin with one.  If nothing else it will help maintain a nominal level of liquidity during the build-out phase.

Plus even some of us with BTC and BAY are just sitting around with gear doing practically nothing in the cold months which could happily be chugging away at something. Wink
Yea I have some old S1's and S3's that aren't mining anything at the moment. Like you said good for backing up the buy support but not thinking it's gonna sky rocket the coin to space. I think its a great way to bring in miners who aren't into bay yet and people like yourself who have gear that want to support bay. Making money is not my objective with crypto, I support projects because I believe in the the technology and helping those with the talent want to stay in crypto and overall & I really think it's fun, it's my hobby really.

While i sort of agree with your statement , there has to be at least a small financial motive to your decisions, otherwise the more logical thing to do would be to donate out of pocket money directly to the developers of the coins/tech you support instead of just buying the coin and holding it.
like most I dont have money like that to throw at a dev that would amount to much, most coins that I have and have had were all through mining and even coins that I buy now is just reinvested from from other coins. Alot of coins Ive held I have paid back to dev funds or just given them away to different people for different reasons even if was just to get them interested. All the bay I hold I bought by cashing in coins I had to reinvest here. At this point I dont think u can really make a profit from crypto right now not without hurting a coin u say u support, and if anyone's only motive here is to turn a profit then goodluck.

I have half built Stormtrooper armour, a custom built Quadcopter and a signed Howard Marks (with photo of him signing it) Ganja Leaf LSD (no active LSD) blotter art piece I might put up.  I am also getting into leather work so might even do custom sheaths and such on Bay.  I am tired of the massive eBay tax, we need a new place to trade and BitBay could be it.  Smiley

Exactly, so many people saying oh this project will fail or that project will be a huge succes it's so obvious etc.

But honestly, if it's so obvious why would they state it? Who wants to actively be captain obvious all the time?
If it's not so obvious and they are stating it, than they are just guessing, to what end who knows (personal gain/investment or perhaps just so they could say "I was right" if they do turn out to be right) but even then, saying something that is like 50% likely to happen and then it happens doesn't make you smart/clever/able to look ahead. It just means you won one specific coinflip, yet again, your speculations aren't valued by anyone, so I don't know why these people post stuff like that all the time. It's predominant on this forum however and the main reason why I don't post more, too much junk posts to go trough.

I agree. This stuff could flop or it could be the most disruptive thing in society since the invention of the steam-engine. If it flops it'll just be the same old story we've seen with many coins. Could happen but, yeah, yawn, boring.

The potential however, that's worth discussing. I'm not talking about it's price or it's market cap. I'm talking about the way people will start using this. The online community is still very infantile in the way it trades it's goods and services. Yet at the same time more people's livelihood depend on it. Most of our economy will eventually be about strangers doing business with other strangers online. There's no adequate infrastructure for this yet. It's messy and people on both ends are constantly getting screwed over.

Bitbay may (or may not) become the foundation for this. -I still believe Blackcoin has a better chance but that aside-. If we're going to take that direction then I truly believe that we haven't even scraped the surface of what may be possible. People talk about gambling but that's frivolous nonsense compared to how this may facilitated freelancers, copywriters, traders and consultants. We haven't even broached the subject of automating smart-contracts or figuring out in what templates can be deviced to suit different needs.

Bitbay is still a white canvas, let's not waste it by just scribbling satoshi predictions on it.

Unless you're from the future, stop speculating the 100 sats outcome.
Ridiculous speculation helps no one.

Add to Bittrex was too early and this leads will be fall in price , may even price come down to 100 Sat. Embarrassed

Bob was one of the people pushing hard for it to be put on bittrex, he knows what he is doing. I think we will be alright.

If price comes down, there's more to buy, I'm not worried.

It's nice to see people discussing the future of Bitbay and it 's potential. Please keep it civil. We are also happy to see Bitbay on bittrex. Thanks Richiela for adding us. Smiley

just to double check - i just installed the windows wallet and, of cours,e it's out of sync. but i don't see anything indicating it's downloading. i'm used to the bitcoin qt wallet...

ignore me. i see it now.

I had this same issue.  It says that it is "syncing", but there is no status bar to tell how far it is or if it's hung up.  Is that correct?

Last night, I had no idea if it was progressing and I haven't had an opportunity to check it today.
