Dear bitbook.biz team, please stop advertising " The best odds of any bitcoin sportsbook".  After your recent margin increase in comparisson with pinnaclesports.com  that is no longer the case.  Nitrogensports.eu for example accepts pinnaclesports  odds as they are  and therefore has better odds in every event I checked.   Please reduce your margin or remove or change  this advertising within the next 48 hours.  Kind Regards!

Do you have plans to change the way the parlays work?  Currently it seems like I can't add multiple actions from the same game.  In some circumstances this makes sense (you don't want someone betting the underdog ML and spread), but not being able to parlay one side of the game and the over or under is a bummer.  Also are there plans to add round robins and/or teasers?

You can never parlay one side of the game and the over/under in any sportsbook because of correlation.

I promise you, you're incorrect.  I've done it tens if not hundreds of times in sportsbooks both live and online.

yep sucks you cant parlay game and o/u i always used to bet that on other books and live too
its currently available on many books which are not related to bitcoins but on bitcoins I think no site giving this facility that any one can play parlay's 2 bets of same match

I would like to see more livebetting options. Football, soccer or whatever you wanna call it along with tennis.

Live tennis betting would be a great option if they would look into it. Would love to throw down a few units here and there on a couple of live games at the AO.

its very good idea you are managing all these things for providing good service because many sites are now collapsing just because of this they are not managing things and now under big debits and members crying for there payouts which are hardly available right now

First: Your site is pretty awesome, and the frustratingly low limits is the only downside I've seen so far, so thank you...

Second: (i.e. Frustratingly low limits)

For the last UFC event (Singapore) the limits were very low, and it was disheartening to place a wager and only find out the allowed amount to wager after being turned down for the initial wager.  Is there a way to see what the max wager at a certain time is for MMA?

This wouldn't be (as much of) an issue if the max wagers were closer to 50 BtC which your site advertises, but the limits I was hitting was ~0.2 BtC which is less than a half percent of what your site suggests is available, and very very frustrating to try to build up in preparation for the event...  So anything to help out the MMA fans who are having heaps of trouble getting down, and getting very very frustrated about it?

Glad you're enjoying BitBook!

With regard to the UFC limits, we hate to ever limit action, and we can understand how it can be frustrating. Our commitment is to always manage BitBook as responsibly as possible, and at times that means limiting our exposure, by decreasing a max significantly. There are 3 ways that our limits can be pushed down:

  • For smaller events (for instance, many tennis, or MMA matches), we may have lower limits.
  • For bigger events long before start time (i.e. when an event is first posted)
  • If one side of an event has a disproportionate amount of action (i.e. everyone is betting on the same team)

We can see how it can be frustrating when an event has very little available, and we will continue to work hard to limit the occurrences of this situation.  Thanks for the feedback.

Sorry if this has been brought up before.  But are you aware that your software only prompts you to refresh for updated odds if the odds move in your favor?

I've been playing at your book for a few months.  And in the 500 or so times that the odds were updated and I had to refresh... 100% of the time the odds moved against me.  They have never ever once moved in my favor.  Are you aware of this glitch?

Hey PharaohUB, this is actually the expected behavior on the site. When a user enters a bet we try to minimize the percentage that we have to reject their request. We have a couple checks on each bet request to ensure that we can responsibly accept it. If the user is requesting odds better than the current odds then that triggers a red flag.

We've actually been recently working on a new step to minimize the amount of time that this flag is hit. We've built an auto-refresher that will update the odds every minute without refreshing the whole page. We've been testing it in the live section (you can see it during games), and are planning to move it into the main section soon.

Let me start off by saying I think you're doing a great job running bitbook and your customer support seems very good.

This odds change situation is very bothersome.  To me, it is a dishonest business practice.  I understand you trying to justify it as avoiding the inconvenience of rejecting a bet and forcing a refresh, but I think I speak for the majority when I say I'd rather refresh and get better odds.  Taking an edge when it is in your favor and rejecting it when it is not, unbeknownst to the user, isn't much different from secretly stealing funds.

You seem like you care a lot about customer service and you are running the site with financial responsibility, which is great to see.  In this industry, gaining the trust and confidence of your customers is paramount.  I hope you will be open-minded on this issue and see that 100% transparency and a fair set of rules are extremely important.  This is not meant to be a personal attack or bitbook bashing.  I just want to bring this issue to light further because I feel it is so important.

Hey bitwager, thanks for the thoughtful message. We're glad you're enjoying BitBook and appreciate your feedback.

As you've mentioned, our system was set up so that each time a wager is placed it checks "can this be accepted". If no red flags are hit, then it is accepted. This is what happens the vast majority of the time, and we have worked to keep this percentage high. We can see where you are coming from, and we will look further into this in the coming week. As you may have noticed we have added automatic refreshing of the odds every minute, to help keep users with current odds, even if their browser is open for a long time. We have found that this has helped minimize occurrences of users requesting old odds, but we can discuss a more explicit check for this situation.

Any update on this?

Would be nice to have an option "always accept better lines"

It appears something went wrong with the following bet:

E. Kostova
S. Kenin
women's tennis.

I think Kenin withdrew as there is someone else scheduled to play Kostova now.  I'm waiting for a canellation of the bet.  thanks

Thanks for pointing this out. This match has been pushed.
