I would say that an exchange rate of $1,000,000 per coin is not theoretically impossible, but it is extremely difficult to achieve in the real life. Because if that happens, then almost 7% of the global wealth will be in the form of Bitcoin, a digital currency which enjoys the backing of none of the central banks. It's market cap will be three times that of gold.

John McAfee Bullish on Bitcoin Price Reaching $1 Million by 2020.
He wrote in Twitter: "When I predicted Bitcoin at $500,000 by the end of 2020, it used a model that predicted $5,000 at the end of 2017. BTC has accelerated much faster than my model assumptions. I now predict Bircoin at $1 million by the end of 2020. I will still eat my dick if wrong."

Can yo believe this? What are your own predictions?

Hm, that seems to be far fetched. I mean the hike from 1000 USD to 10K USD was all fine and this led to full fledged publicity of the bitcoin and then it got more investor attracted. The later part was the reason for reaching out the 17K rate that we are seeing today. To be honest reaching million dollar rate would be dream for many crypto lover and I respect that because everyone is finding the potential in it. Apart from this we also need to think about the market capitalism, whether we will be able to catch up that much investment or not will also define the ultimate fate of the bitcoin reaching to million price. Anyway, I believe it will reach mid way to million somewhere in the 2020-2025. We also don't know about the changes in regulation or mass adoption of the bitcoin etc. So better go with the flow and keep the investment up.

He is just being too over confident. I don't think the price will be $1 million by the end of 2020. He said the price will be $5,000 at the end of 2017, but looks like we will be seeing the price being around $18,000. He wasn't able to predict the price accurately. The higher the price are going to be, the less people will start to invest, causing the price to increase more slowly.

Nothing impossible in the cryptocurrency and no one know that in the future
But, I am not sure that the bitcoin can be $1 Million in the years 2020. Just see what happened later.

It's always possible, but I don't think there is a big chance of happening, it's too much increasement in price in a short time period. To make this possible mass adoption would be needed. Lots of people investing hard on Bitcoin, bringing even more people to do the same, increasing the demand a lot, so the price can rise fast. So I think the question is, is mass adoption possible by 2020? What would lead mass adoption to happen?

Why not, I like the assumption that they have made because it just feels very good to know that our penny investment soon will become worth millions of dollars I guess. :-) At least not for the real speculation but for our satisfaction I completely believe into this kind of assumptions. Apart from this as the growth is taking place for each and every coin this will bring new ways of earning opportunity to rest of the world who has not entered into it yet. So if you ask me then there is still big population which is yet to invest into bitcoin and when they will start to do that then just imagine how much pretty well bitcoin will start moving upwards. :-)
We have long lasting proof of the bitcoin since 2009. It shown us major drawbacks, major advantages and all the good/bad sides of it. But in the end it is trying to keep that good side always up which will take it to that 1 million USD shot by 2020.

Quite possible. At 2020, bitcoins mining by then is now at a halt because of the conplexity of all the problems solved by miners. New bitcoins will no longer be added to the circulation. Prices would have stopped moving by then and by supply and demand, bitcoins would've gained a lot of price. $1M would be a reality in a few more years.

Since 2013 the price of Bitcoin start rising slowly into 2016 and from march 2017 the price start rising raster until it value now 17000$ and more , as he said , he use a model with estimations and his results 5000$ in 2017 and it's not a big number but when he talk about 1M$ dollar in 2020 it's not logical at all .
He juste wrote Bircoin did he talk about a new currency ? Cheesy

If you would say somebody that bitcoin price will be over  $17.000 in january 2017, reactions would be the same. So In 2020 why not 1 million dollar? I think it is possible.

To be honest I am now in the position where I can believe on any speculation that comes for the bitcoin. Because if anytime I miss the investment now then I will broke this time. I have missed many chances to get into bitcoin now a days and through this year too. I don't want this to happen.

I have read many articles including the cryptopia assumptions for 2020 where they also speculate bitcoin going upto the heights of 1 million or so. If not then at least we can expect the prices to going all the way up 50K in that year. :-)

The good times yet to come and as they say in the world of crypto land this is just the beginning of everything.

John McAfees prediction has never failed his followers. When he predicted that the value of bitcoin at the end of 2017 is $5000 dollars the actual value of bitcoin has reached $16,000. His prediction of bitcoin reaching $ 1 million is a probability which is not impossible to happen. In my opinion it is possible but the year 2020 is too early for bitcoin to reach that value. But if it happens that I will be very thankful.

It depends on the demand of the bitcoin in that year when it comes to the people , investors , traders and business man there are possibilities that bitcoin will be at that price when they knew about it already and yet they will implement bitcoin into their business related. Those prediction might be accurate and it will happen by time to time. Bitcoin is conquer the world and implementing in to our economy and it becoming world wide again. Price might decrease but it will be back to normal.

Bitcoin has surpassed expectations of many people. I always believed that Bitcoin had a bright future and now more and more people are being interested in the concept of cryptocurrencies which will change they way we see money. $1 million is possible and I'm looking forward to seeing that.

It seems possible by right now situation. Because bitcoin value is continuouslly growing bigger within the short amount of time. Mathematically speaking, if 1 bitcoin  costs $15,000 and it grew to $19,000 within 3 or 4 days I guess, how about for 3 years right? But it also seems that it is somehow dangerous in a sense that bitcoin might get shutdown with that amount. We cannot deny the fact that government will always keep the bitcoin running, so basically if bitcoin continueslly grow bigger to the point that real life currency cannot be exchange to a merely 1 bitcoin, maybe government will probably go war against bitcoin.

If you go by present price trend, then yes, there is a huge probability of Bitcoin touching $1 million. It will all depend upon demand and any future utility if merchants and vendors start accepting it. But will Bitcoin not crash before that. I doubt. There is a huge chance that Bitcoin will go a crash before touching that number. I believe $1 trillion marketcap will be an exit point for many traders leaving price in a crash. Right now predicting future price is quite tough as market is going irrational.

I, of course, see how fast the crypto currency develops, but it seems to me that bitcoin will reach the $ 1,000,000 mark not in 2020, but a bit later. If bitcoin grows to $ 1,000,000 by that year, altcoyins are likely could suffer.
Lol if bitcoin will stuck in this $17k and other coins will go up like crazy "king" will lose value real fast , maybe in 2006 was amazing technology but for 2017 bitcoin suck and slow.
