I guess I'll have to be the asshole to tell them that our charity fundraiser is to convince new charities to start accepting, and to ask them for promoting bitcoin on their front page, or to ask them to put out a press release? I'm not sure that would be good for Bitcoin's reputation though, us extorting a charity that caters to mentally challenged kids (double-whammy).

Edd, conidering we've had, ahem, issues, is it possible to put some wording on the bitcoin100.org site that specifies some Bitcoin100 guidelines, like "donates to non-political, secular charities" and "exists specifically to convince new charities to start accepting bitcoin?" Maybe we can consider those as the "established rules" going forward, and let #4 slide this time, too?

As stated above, spices.org.my has been accepting Bitcoin donation since 2011. Depending on their reach (read exposure on the internet), a consideration of a 1/3 of what's currently being doled out if they upped ante up on giving the Bitcon logo a more prominent location on their site. Again, only if their exposure warrants it, coupled with what others feel about it. Overall, they are a very fine organization.

Another way they could earn possibly the fuller amount is if a new press release about their organization is published with Bitcoin mentioned twice (once may not be enough, and three times would be overkill). The news article would have to be some venerable source, oppose to a Yahoo type release. Use thinking outside the box here.

Again, I'm curious as to who suggested harvestlots.org to you.

Just to clarify, SPICES was started by a church, but since April 2010, it has been registered as an independent organization in the Registrar of Societies, Malaysia. See certificate. http://imgur.com/FoxQbvB It is currently run by an independent board. We don't have a Donate Bitcoin button yet but already have a text Bitcoin address on our donations page.

He said he ran into some problem getting BitPay to work right, and will have it working tomorrow.

I did a quick review of each of organizations above and thought they all looked like they are doing some good and fit the requirements for Bitcoin 100.  However, I wasn't able to find any mention of bitcoin acceptance with Hiphopchessfederation.  Maybe if I filled out their form and went to the next page...or spent a few more minutes looking for it?

Hi, here is Frank.

First of all thank you for adding the "Sternenhof" Herbert Denk Foundation to the list of charitys for thinking about a donation.

As the website is unfortunately not in English language please let me introduce a bit of our work that you can have your own opinion about us.

We are officially accredited by the German state as a foundation helping animals and people and we have 2 animal sanctuaries - one in Austria and one in Germany and over 500 animals which have been mostly rescued from different situations and can now live in our sanctuaries.

We bring people and animals together - also we are very engaged in social work and often there are also handicapped people visiting our animal sanctuary.

In the last weeks Germany was very affected by heavy rainfall and following flood thats why we have decided to help those affected people with their animals as well.

We see this as an addition to our project "1 food bowl and 1 food sack for every dog / animal in animal sancturies in Europe"

We already have distributed 585 food bowls and sacks with food to affected people in "Passau" Germany and also to animal sancturies in Hungary.

We plan to give away 6550 food bowls and sacks in total during the next months.

1BTC is enough to cover the costs for 7-8 food bowls and sacks at the moment - so each BTC would help a lot!

I have add some photos and I hope you like our project.

I am not very active in the Forum here as a writer normally, but I like the Bitcoin idea since months - and I wish you all the best here.
