..digging out this old thread.
It seems like www.kenija2012.net is down, by now?

Probably simply because of "Record expires on 18-Jan-2013"?

Not implying anything is fishy here, but I would like to see this project (and Bitcoin's involvement) not vanish into being completely forgotten..

I don't know what their plan was with the domain, but since this is over now there is no real reason to keep it anymore. Some information can still be found on their facebook page.

Yes, if anyone has any contact info related to this project I'd appreciate it if you could PM me. I just wanted to follow up to gauge interest in future Africa work.

You can try contacting them at [email protected]. I'll let them know.

As per Phinnaeus's request, I took extra coins out of the surplus he has donated already and added them to the overall donation to 1kenyaDrbe2W9KfC7djWAZbAKzSR2aXdX
In total, Bitcoin100 has donated exactly 100BTC to them.

I have also honored my next 1BTC pledge for the next charity (freshly mined, too)

I just PM'ed Rassah, authorizing him to transfer BTC from 1BTC1oo1J3MEt5SFj74ZBcF2Mk97Aah4ac to 1kenyaDrbe2W9KfC7djWAZbAKzSR2aXdX for http://www.kenija2012.net/ which the donation page is http://www.kenija2012.net/kako-donirati.php

~Bruno~

PS: I also gave Rassah my last name. Prior, only Matthew and Maged had it, but believe I authorized Maged to give it to theymos. A couple vendors who accept bitcoins may have it as well if they happened to check their processing books, but they would have no reason to ever disclose it. If it weren't for the felony charges of spousal abuse and possession of crack, I probably would have already disclosed my last name.

There's been some micro donations to Bitcoin 100 that I'm not sure how to contribute them to, what cause, or maybe it won't matter. See http://blockchain.info/address/1BTC1oo1J3MEt5SFj74ZBcF2Mk97Aah4ac

Pay no attention to the the latest withdraw, then re-deposit, for I'm sure it was only for a coffee table purchase, then returned for a full refund, because it clashed with Rassah's decor. Meow!

Was just doing some sweeping

Give me a couple minutes. Got to check only a couple things. Will PM you shortly.

Bruno are you still with us? Haven't heard anything from you in a long tine...

In other news we have decided to sell off the entire balance of 1kenyaDrbe2W9KfC7djWAZbAKzSR2aXdX over BitStamp exchange directly to their SEPA account (listed on their site) this friday (one week before the departure).

If Bruno and everyone else is up to this, I can transfer the Bitcoin over to this charity.
We do really need to step up with sending requests. Even to the places we have already done before.

We'll probably be doing this later today. I'm double checking all those who've most recently donated to this cause as well as over at the Bitcoin 100 thread, and need to re-check my PM's. I'll PM you, Rassah, when I done.

So the departure date is on the 7/27, and we decided 1 week prior to that (7/20) would be enough to make use of any donations, if bitcoin100 is still willing to chip in.

I have also completed my exams for this semester so I will be more responsive from now on if there are any further questions.

This is o.k. with me, "refilled" BTC100 wallet with my pledge.

Thank you, neuronics, for your fine contribution to this cause. The list has been updated with this transaction (below) as well as linking your name to your desired website there and on the Partisans page of bitcoin100.org.

Please forgive me for not doing this earlier.

I have been made aware that the current team (the one our team is going to replace in august) in Kenya writes a blog, that might shine some extra light on what they are doing there.

Warning: this blog contains some very graphic images and is not for the faint-hearted!

Unfortunately this is in slovene so you'll have to use google translate again :|

(I tip my hat to them, I couldn't stomach any of this.)

Great blog, vuce. Thanks a lot.
