Users of cryptocurrencies are expanding quickly and globally from a small base.
Similar to the internet in the mid- to late 1990s, cryptocurrencies seem to be on the verge of hyper-adoption.

Bitcoin's adoption is like a disease that spreads quickly and if there will be some bodies(authorities) to stop it, they barely make it.

Before, bitcoin was introduced as a peer to peer payment but right now, we mostly see people adopt bitcoin not only for the usage of being a payment method but mainly as an investment, as an asset.

And that's not wrong, because its utilities can be seen and we can't deny that either or the two, it really is.
Slowly but we are reaching critical mass, once enough people adopt bitcoin many small businesses will begin to do the same and eventually massive companies like Amazon and others will follow.

And once we reach that point bitcoin will be truly unstoppable, once that happens I will expect even more regulations to come from the governments as they try to somehow control the situation, but it will be over at that point, as even if they passed a bunch of laws against bitcoin people could transact with each other directly and ignore their regulations.

This situation is very different from previous years, where the adoption process did not seem as fast as in 2020 and above until now. Maybe people are more open to receiving information about crypto, especially bitcoin, which is becoming increasingly popular in many countries. And even though some countries still have not fully approved the use of bitcoin, it is only a matter of time. And other countries will also follow what countries have started using bitcoin.

When the government started accepting Bitcoin the walk mode adoption become a supersonic plane adoption.  News on Bitcoin adoption by a country is broadcasted and promulgated through social media, and centralized exchanges and centralized services are taking their chance to profit from the Bitcoin/cryptocurrency industry by setting up businesses and start-ups.

Other countries will surely follow if they see the fruit of El Salvador's patience in accumulating Bitcoin become a success.  By that time, I believe Bitcoin price will really soar high as countries started using their own funds to buy and accumulate BTC
El Salvador's patience will give good results for them and may be an example for other countries to follow what El Salvador is doing. El Salvador still has to try to survive and continue buying bitcoin when the price has not increased.

And this adoption process will be even higher when there are countries that will approve the use of bitcoin as an alternative payment and other finance. And centralized exchanges and services will indeed take the opportunity to become a place that facilitates people who want to buy and sell bitcoins. And it started several years.

Over 10% of global Internet users likely own some form of cryptocurrency - 500m people if we assume 5 billion internet users. Crypto.com estimates closer to 300m crypto owners worldwide, a 275% increase from their January figure.

Bitcoin adoption keeps on gaining popularity because many cities trying to adopt Bitcoin and implement its system in their economy.  Just like what the mayor of Lugano did, other authority is not that hostile to Bitcoin and sees the potential for growth if the Bitcoin system is integrated into their city's economy.

Am sure we will be seeing the same scenario in the near future as Bitcoin adoption keeps on propagating.
I do agree with what you said even though Bitcoin still has its trial times, we hardly see all this positive news when there is blood in the market as most merchants might be reluctant to accept it then however, I do believe that In time to come, Businesses even without the adoption of the Government will continue to accept BTCitcoin as payment because of its decentralised nature for those that understand even though as I said, I believe this will still be more during price uptrend.

Adoption of bitcoins is getting more because of the efforts of people in promoting it and also due to all the news that has been out and the events that has transpired in the crypto space in the last year. Truth is every event and news contribute to the popularity of bitcoins, whether it is a good event or whether it has been a negative event too. Also the increase in adoption of bitcoins is expected every year as bitcoins get older, it is on an upward movement.

Bitcoin will always get priority which is quite superior, and now we all see people, businessmen and also with companies that have jumped in to adopt Bitcoin as well as investing in Bitcoin, by looking at the demand and supply prices now we will see market movements that are well, after all now that the development and insight of Bitcoin has become more widespread, no one can avoid it, but paying for goods and services using Bitcoin alternatives has the potential to be very good and will continue in several countries, maybe it's just a matter of time. most people are familiar with cryptocurrencies and are aware that they are part of the financial system.

Not surprising though but honestly, we are still at a very low level of crypto adoption. Meaning that we still need many years to fully adopt Bitcoin. However, it was not totally bad as it was, we can't urge people to adopt crypto if they are not willing to do so or if the government will not support this. I was already happy to see the growing number of establishments that offer Bitcoin/crypto as a mode of payment. But then, still not enough to make everyone value Bitcoin and give trust in the system because I know uncertainties are still on their mind until now.

I also find that bitcoin adoption is still very low, compared to other assets, it is still nothing. The biggest barrier so far is none other than the government, the government doesn't accept it, and most people don't want to learn about it even though they all have heard about the name bitcoin. It is almost impossible for the government to ban bitcoin, but to become popular and widely accepted, it really needs government support.

While I don’t think any government could totally stop the use and adoption of bitcoin, I think there are always ways in which governments could hinder the adoption or to curb the use of bitcoin within their borders. Despite all that, bitcoin continues to grow slowly and steadily.

It’s always great to see the growth and adoption of bitcoin grow stronger everyday. The misconceptions about bitcoin is gradually fading away and people are beginning to see bitcoin for what it truly is. A game changer and a great new innovation in the financial system.

this news can be said to be good news for the price of bitcoin which is getting stronger at 23k, hoping that the value of btc will increase so that in 2024 it can exceed 60k
bitcoin adoption only in certain countries that have fully allowed btc to transact not for countries that are still in the introduction stage to their people, but this is an advance in bitcoin adoption

Lugano has been mentioned in connection with Bitcoin for years, but that shouldn't surprise anyone considering that Switzerland is a very specific country where people really practice democracy the way it should be everywhere. I honestly did not know that it is now possible to buy coffee or get a haircut and pay with Bitcoin, considering that before only paying taxes was mentioned, but apparently the project that was talked about last year succeeded in its intention. However, I remember that I was skeptical then, and I still am today, because the guys from Tether got involved in the whole story and in addition invented a local token. I will be more than happy if bitcoin adoption spreads like wildfire. Because then I won't have to convert my bitcoins to fiat to be able to spend them. However, not every country has the legal support from the government to do so. In majority of the nations, no law exists on bitcoin or cryptos. That's the hard reality!

Unless we see positive responses from the government and a legal framework around it, bitcoin mass adoption will not take place. No matter how hard we try to avoid government, we actually need them to support us.

NoteNo one can stop its adoption
I would not completely agree with this statement, but bitcoin adoption is growing.
My country's government absolutely does not allow bitcoin to be adopted as currency or means of payment. They hinder adoption through regulations whereby only legal currency can be used as tender by law. Bitcoin is not legal as currency, this adoption is limited and private only.

Some other countries may have tried to adapt and reach conclusion to be more bitcoin friendly. This includes adoption, but when this adoption is done by certain officials in country (not a company), then I think they have brought this issue of adoption as their political power in the future. I can say my assumptions weren't entirely correct either, but look at how many politicians vote for bitcoin when they feel it will make it more profitable in elections.

We do not yet reach the finish line, so adoption will continue until the moment that everyone has already been using this whether in terms of investment or currency. As we can see, only a few percent that is already using this, but there are still a lot of people we need to encourage. Even 10 years from now we're still far from happening.

However, it was really good to see that crypto gives interest to the community, and therefore, I can say that Bitcoin is not a failed project.

Bitcoin is still in its infancy for quite some time now so just wait for the world to see and witness that bitcoin is getting bigger and they are throwing that useless paper off the face of the earth and out of their pockets yes of course we may need to wait another 10-20 years to be able to witness all people use bitcoin in their transactions but if the halving happens I think people will see bitcoin and add to the adoption of other ordinary people, even if they only see bitcoin as an investment sector but gradually they can use it as currency.

Nowadays, people just know about it and want to learn about it because of its volatility and profitability. Around my area, the demand for bitcoin is growing rapidly, but it is about investment, not for payment or currency. If someone needs to use it as a currency, they will stay with fiat rather than bitcoin because bitcoin is harder to use and store. I have been in the market for a while but have never wanted to use bitcoin for payment, I prefer to invest.

Today i came across a really interesting Post on twitter and its shows in a video how the mayor of lugano (switzerland) was paying for the goods and services rendered to him with bitcoin all over the city  and i came to the conclusion that its only a matter of time before the adoption of bitcoin is going to be seen like this in every city of the world.
Indirectly in the future it is very likely that bitcoin will be accepted by all countries because bitcoin is truly one of the most efficient cryptocurrencies and can make it easier for state authorities when they want to make cross-border payments or are used to make other transactions, currently the growth in bitcoin adoption has grown tremendously wide so that there is no other way for the government besides accepting bitcoin in their country in the future, it's useless for them to continue to ban bitcoin adopters because people will continue to use bitcoin even though bitcoin is not legalized in that country like the people of China who still hold bitcoin even though the government strictly prohibits for the people using bitcoin.

Adoption is growing slowly but surely. Many people are starting to accept the fact that cryptocurrency is part of our financial system already. There are some people who are starting to accept Bitcoin and at the same time, there are people who are starting to use Bitcoin to pay for their goods or whatever it is.

Bitcoin adoption still has a long way to, but I'm sure that there will be a time that a huge percentage of all the people worldwide will accept Bitcoin as an alternative mode of payment. There are already websites who are accepting Bitcoin and more of them will accept not only Bitcoin, but maybe other coins as well.

On the other hand, there are some who doesn't want to accept Bitcoin especially some establishments because of how volatile it is.

I see bitcoin growing very fast, not slow, 14 years can't be considered long compared to gold or fiat. But in just 14 years of development, bitcoin has received great attention from the world, from retail investors to governments. One contributing factor to this rapid growth is that inflation is becoming a sore problem in many countries causing their currency to depreciate, and people need to find an alternative, and bitcoin can fulfill that claim.
It can be said that the appearance of bitcoin was very timely, so it was quickly recognized and developed without any organization being able to stop it.
