Adoption is growing slowly but surely. Many people are starting to accept the fact that cryptocurrency is part of our financial system already. There are some people who are starting to accept Bitcoin and at the same time, there are people who are starting to use Bitcoin to pay for their goods or whatever it is.

Bitcoin adoption still has a long way to, but I'm sure that there will be a time that a huge percentage of all the people worldwide will accept Bitcoin as an alternative mode of payment. There are already websites who are accepting Bitcoin and more of them will accept not only Bitcoin, but maybe other coins as well.

On the other hand, there are some who doesn't want to accept Bitcoin especially some establishments because of how volatile it is.

They realize BTC is not going away so its best to just adopt it as well, after all, they can benefit it BTC's growth also.

These establishments could come and go if they like. Someone may figure out soon that whenever the market is bullish, the business can accept BTC but if it's a bear market then cash transactions only. I have had this in mind recently I would just try to lend some BTC but only in the bull run and then lend stablecoin in the bear market.

Today, since bitcoin passed the 24,000$'s mark, it immediately became a trend topic on Twitter, and people took the opportunity to share some news of bitcoin adoption around the world, similar to the one presented in OP. I didn't know, but it was said 770 shops in South Africa already accept bitcoin as payment method. That is a good signal bitcoin isn't being adopted only by investors, but also by merchants and retail sellers.

As fiat currencies get more depreciated, it's likely news like this become more common each new day.

The are no other way bitcoin adoption will go , it will be adopted by those countries and later on people around it. Maybe other countries still banning it there now a lot of countries adopting it as they knew that bitcoin is helpful to them and also the people around them. As the years goes by people are embracing it no matter what the government action on this as they cant stop bitcoin. I am happy that they use it for sending bitcoin and I am hoping that it will be used also by other countries

actually I will not care about bitcoin being legalized or used as a means of payment by the government, because in my opinion the most important thing is that the government must allow its people to invest in bitcoin, yes, even if they have to pay taxes to the government.
and in my opinion, bitcoin is very difficult to make as means of payment, because the price is unstable, and maybe that's why the government doesn't allow btc to be used as means of payment.
The government do not allow bitcoin as a means of payment? I am doubting that, except in countries that bitcoin is totally banned, there are many bitcoin friendly countries in the world. Only what the government will not allow is to make bitcoin a legal tender, but if you want to use it, they do not stop you from using it. If you like you can send it to someone or not. The government do not care about citizens to that extent, they care more about their pockets and their selfish reasons, that is the reason why they will not accept bitcoin to a greater extent because they do not want decentralization that can reduce their control.

I think that bitcoin is growing stronger in some ways, but as for mass adoption I think we still have a very long way to go.  After bitcoin came close to hitting 60,000, and then falling all way down to like 14,000 or 15,000 (can't remember) I think a lot of the people who bought it are non-finance people who know nothing about bitcoin and only did so because they heard they might be able to get rich.  I'm not sure they will ever come back so that worries me for adoption reasons.

Some (if not most) European countries are aiming to have a completely cashless transactions in the future. So, I guess Bitcoin has a better future for countries like these, especially for the citizens who hates to use a 3rd party payment processors. However, the adoption level for Bitcoin globally are still below 10%. But, on a positive note, Bitcoin price have already reached what most people did not expect what Bitcoin is capable of.
Establishing a cashless system can be done using electronic networks that are currently used by almost all financial institutions. There are countries where all operations are done using bank cards, and anyone can live in them without using cash. This method enables the continuation of tracking the balances and transfers of citizens. Do not forget that countries adoption of Bitcoin does not serve their central policies.
Bitcoin can serve them in international exchanges, since it is a global currency that is not owned by any party. And most importantly, it provides an opportunity to get rid of the dollar.

I think Switzerland has been going cashless more many years now, and with the advent of bitcoin it makes sense that they will also be spearheading in in Europe. And their government is politically libertarian, so there should be no surprises as well as how they adopted bitcoin as compare to the other nations out there.

Switzerland is nothing special when it comes to a cashless society it has the same number as other European nations far behind the nordic counties.

Bitcoin's adoption is like a disease that spreads quickly and if there will be some bodies(authorities) to stop it, they barely make it.

Bruh!!!!  For god's sake find another analogy, making it look like cancer is not that far away from Warren's rat poison!  Grin
OMG, just no!

No one can stop its adoption

Bitcoin is inevitable, when people increasingly have privacy needs or find ways to increase assets, a safe place to store assets, it can be said that bitcoin is one of the things that meet all of those things. Bitcoin is a multifunctional product that has all the outstanding features of gold and fiat money. I don't expect bitcoin to become legal tender globally because of its decentralization, but it is only a matter of time before it is legally accepted globally. As people's needs increase, governments will have no choice but to accept it as a commodity or currency of their choice.

i hope the government of the world starts seeing the value and force that bitcoin is coming with in the world today and start legalizing it in their own country.
We do have seen different approach when it comes for government to take stance on whatever they are currently seeing specially on decentralized things like crypto. We do know that there are places who
had already accepted Bitcoin and there are ones who are still neutral and there are ones who had prohibited or totally ban it out. This is why each government would really be having different
stance when it comes to Bitcoin adoption. Its good if on the place you were living it does have  that positive stance on which as a citizen and at the same time a crypto enthusiast
would really be able to benefit out from that which is always an advantace. If not, then we could always have the viable option for us to make out transactions.

Bitcoin adoption can’t be stopped again. It has surpass the state of people around the world who have heard of it to still doubt about its existence and popularity. Bitcoin has actually came a long way that it can’t be stopped again. Let me say it’s a viral disease without an antidote to cure it in the minds of many people already.

^The most common scenario that will happen, is every time when the market has a bull trend, the adoption becomes widely spread.

This is exactly the way it works, after the next bull run, more people will show interest in cryptocurrency and will want to benefit what others have gained after passing through series of market survey. The good use of the media to disseminate such news makes it more easier to spread the positive news about it.

I liked how governments of the countries used it, to use as an online payment, not an asset that hoarded BTC to make more valuable in the future, we must be afraid of them when it comes to their mind at the selling point, it will surely have an impact to the BTC price. For example, El Salvador sells all their BTC at once, boom! the market will surely crash.

If such happens, we’ll definitely see a great decline in the price of the cryptocurrencies in the market. They’re aware of how the market works and I’m sure they won’t take such a step that will be drastic to everyone in the crypto world.

You’ll see the increase right now because the market is about to rise again and that’s why many good news are all over the news site. Bitcoin is inevitable, it will rise no matter what and many countries already show their support to Bitcoin, this is indeed growing. In my country, you’ll see more people are getting more interested about Bitcoin, though there are still a problem since most of them think about an easy money with Bitcoin without even understanding it, some are just getting hyped by someone.

But still, there are countries that did not yet open their eyes to adopting BTC but let us hope that soon they will wake up and open their eyes to what they have witnessed around them. The city of Zug created their own identity on the public Ethereum network that gave them the power to sign and verify data.

And yes, Lugano stakes claim to become cryptocurrency capital of Europe.

Bitcoin adoption keeps on gaining popularity because many cities trying to adopt Bitcoin and implement its system in their economy.  Just like what the mayor of Lugano did, other authority is not that hostile to Bitcoin and sees the potential for growth if the Bitcoin system is integrated into their city's economy.

Am sure we will be seeing the same scenario in the near future as Bitcoin adoption keeps on propagating.

We do not yet reach the finish line, so adoption will continue until the moment that everyone has already been using this whether in terms of investment or currency. As we can see, only a few percent that is already using this, but there are still a lot of people we need to encourage. Even 10 years from now we're still far from happening.

However, it was really good to see that crypto gives interest to the community, and therefore, I can say that Bitcoin is not a failed project.

Bitcoin's adoption is like a disease that spreads quickly and if there will be some bodies(authorities) to stop it, they barely make it.

Before, bitcoin was introduced as a peer to peer payment but right now, we mostly see people adopt bitcoin not only for the usage of being a payment method but mainly as an investment, as an asset.

And that's not wrong, because its utilities can be seen and we can't deny that either or the two, it really is.

NoteNo one can stop its adoption

Today i came across a really interesting Post on twitter and its shows in a video how the mayor of lugano (switzerland) was paying for the goods and services rendered to him with bitcoin all over the city  and i came to the conclusion that its only a matter of time before the adoption of bitcoin is going to be seen like this in every city of the world.
Like the video in this tweet bitcoin is already spreading and many people have started accepting bitcoin as a means of payment in their small business Enterprises and firms in my own country (Nigeria) although its still not allowed to transact bitcoin with the local fiat bank in my place but the use of bitcoin is still spreading and its doesn't stop people from trading through peer to peer transaction and i hope the government of the world starts seeing the value and force that bitcoin is coming with in the world today and start legalizing it in their own country.
