All altcoins are doomed to fail, because they are just copy-paste of bitcoin. Bitcoin is only popular and strong

I think not all altcoins since some alt coins has advance feature not added in bitcoin. Other altcoins has great dev and has massive community supporting it.

99% yes, but a 1% of coins is making things different and taking risks. NXT invented a whole new thing, XMR has a purpose due its true anonymous features etc.. you cant rule out ALL alts like that, its absurd. Of course tho, Bitcoin is king, but still.

Bitcoin=gold
Litecoin=silver
dogecoin=bronze

I know that is a horribly simple example but it holds pretty true as far as comparing. (yes it does leave out a lot but simplest way to explain)

I would have to say Gridcoin for Bronze. The coin is looking amazing, I value it over Litecoin even.

Ripple is doing good compared to bitcoin even.

Ripple, uhhhhh care to retract that statement?

Sorry Sue, not remotely in the same ballpark.  2nd overall, but not even in the running really if you look at total marketcap.

I just tried doge a month ago.. Its not as big as btc but its pretty decent..

Well looks like you have tried doge at a great time. The doge price was just 30-40 satoshi a month ago in early Sept and it is now more than double of that.

What's the difference between those coins? Does it have the same prices? Though I only hear about bitcoin a lot. What's altcoin, litcoin and dogecoin got to do?

The difference is that btc is the best there is.

ASIC resistance coin would be the future.... we just need someone to create one..

ASIC mean more hashrate, more stable and safe transactions.

ASIC resistance doesn't guarantee a even distribution of mining power.
If someone has the determination and money to buy loads of ASICs to mine bitcoin, he could as well buy loads of GPUs to mine an ASIC resistant coin as long as it is profitable.

Im sorry but what do you mean by altcoin?

Altcoins are coins that arent Bitcoin, basically.

I think that's a mistake, maybe he didn't want to write litecoin or dogecoin so he wrote altcoin. Still I think LTCs price will rise in mid or late 2015 but doge is kill.

How much does doge and ltc worth right now?

You can check it in Preev.com . It has good UI and you can check BTC, LTC, Doge and Peercoin.

Bitcoin is the future. Other altcoins are just wannabees.

Don't be so sure. Bitcoin is first of all but it is not so modern nowadays.

What do you mean by "not so modern"? What kind of features are you looking for exactly?

Btw, don't under-estimate the first-mover advantage for bitcoin.

ASIC resistance coin would be the future.... we just need someone to create one..

Someone from this forum could do it, surely someone in the services can do it.

At this moment, there are only ASIC for sha256 and scrypt algo. So there are in fact hundreds of ASIC-resistant altcoins now.
