The surge in cryptocurrency adoption in the world is a strong reason for the implementation of lessons about cryptocurrency in formal education. I have read that this has begun to be applied in France. The basic competence taught is the difference from fiat, its role in supporting traditional finance, and other basic knowledge related to cryptocurrency.
As educators, teachers must always update information and knowledge so that their students get knowledge in accordance with the times. Moreover, cryptocurrency has a broad scope of scientific fields, including economics, mathematics, computers, etc. The teacher should also know this and provide basic knowledge that there are currently alternative currencies worldwide.

In the Philippines, there are a few universities who are implementing blockchain elective courses (De La Salle University, Far Eastern University, etc.). When my business colleagues and I conducted a cryptocurrency education seminar at a Philippine university, their dean is pushing to implement cryptocurrency and blockchain courses within their curriculum.

I honestly believe that by educating people about Bitcoin, they would no longer fed up with the media that BTC is a scam due to being misinformed. A lot of my friends told me to stay away from Bitcoin because it's a scam when I was still starting.

Because of believing in Bitcoin, they unfriended me and spread it to others that I am a scammer. I prove them wrong because of not stopping my advocacy and educating about the real use cases of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

I also think that this should be taught in schools, college to be exact. But since we're still at the beginning, let us wait until it gets further recognition. I can see that in the future, this can be taught in schools, especially blockchain technology. Blockchain is very suitable to be added to the curriculum. Perhaps, a general subject as it is included as a part of innovation and globalization. While cryptocurrency is more likely to be an applied or specialized subject. It can be taught to technology-related courses or even in finance-related since it can be considered as an asset.

This could happen in the future, we just need to wait until it gets accepted by the public.

With the internet now being an important part of day to day activities one who has to study about cryptocurrencies can actually go online.
The thing is , it is already being taught in the higher institute of technology and other engineering colleges but weather it should be taught in schools is still a debate.
One can only work through some of the things that are basics but people who actually wanna learn that can just go online and study hard about it .
I do think teaching something in schools for the grades kinda looses its value over time , you do it for the sake of grades but real knowledge can only be attained if you are willing to work on it yourself.

Today there are many individuals attempting to form a presentation into the universe of cryptographic money or the bitcoin on the grounds that they have to share their experience and therefore the procedures on how they will make an excellent deal of income with the help of bitcoin. More often than not in our nation they're giving a couple of classes about related within the blockchain, and the way they buy the tickets and bills they're abandoning browsing any genuine cash, which is that the intensity of the bitcoin it's very inquisitive? Indeed. It is, and now I additionally made into the universe of bitcoin thus, and now simultaneously, I caused speculation and exchanging to form more to procuring also .

Well I think Bitcoin is probably taught in some schools or universities but it is indirectly, meaning cryptocurrency are introduced in other way such as creating or developing certain programs that deals with Mathematical and technical studies. Like a blockchain technology it is more complicated program that made by individuals or a group of intelligent people.

Addressing the future, cryptocurrency such as bitcoin should be taught in schools. This is why I did innovate a basic strategy as my research to used base numbers in cryptographic algorithm.

However, the computer is there to compute the numbers. But still, learners should be able to know the manual computation and how it increase and decrease according to its equivalent value.

In addition, this will make the new evolution of numbers of Mathematics.
Making cryptocurrency an additional study schedule at school or university is the best step for the future of students. Students will learn and understand how cryptography and blockchain work. If they understand more about cryptography and blockchain, many new projects and coins may continue to emerge and become more innovative.

That would be a great idea to adapt and associate teaching children or those who are still going to school about cryptocurrency for it is indeed belong to a modernized and futuristic progression towards a better tomorrow. It will be good that people will have a basic learning about cryptocurrency to let them better know about cryptocurrency specially for those who are not familiar with it. That idea cam be associated into the academic curriculum for those countries where cryptocurrencies are accepted and have already been adapted. Well, it will be the government's concern to include it in the curriculum concerning the participation of the department of education on putting lessons or subjects related to crypto. Such implementation will only be successful if crypto usage have already been adapted because it will now be in need to have better learning and understanding about it to put into the curriculum. But as of the moment, it is quite impossible to happen for crypto usage has not been fully adapted.

Schools are not going to rush into it yet. It’s going to take quite sometime before schools will start adding Blockchain and cryptocurrency to their syllabus of what students will have to learn.

Right now, anyone that’s looking to learn about Blockchain and cryptocurrency will have to make use of online courses like Coursera, Udemy and other similar platforms that teaches people about this. And the good thing about Coursera, EdX, and the rest of them is that once you have completed these courses you’re given a certificate and these certificates can be used to look for a job. So it’s really cool. LinkedIn has listed Blockchain as one of the most sought after skills in the industry, which means the demand for it will even grow further as time goes on.

This will be an innovative way of spreading real information about blockchain technology in general and not only Bitcoin as to be specific. But the question is if the Department of Education will approve this kind and a great idea.
But anyway, even though it is never been taught in a school or being part of their curriculum, still we can learn crypto through online research and having in the actual scenario just trading, investing, and even used it as another form of payment. And I think this is the fastest way to learn crypto and how it deserves appreciation that many we're just been ignored.

Few universities are already teaching about blockchain courses.

Do you notice that these courses use the word "blockchain" and not "Bitcoin".

The university courses I checked out, are misguided at best. They don't distinguish Bitcoin from replicated linked list.

That's like a biologist not seeing being able to distinguish a rhino from a pebble.
And there are only two explanations for this, the first one is that the course itself is not worth your time since they do not even know the difference in which case you should not try to enroll in such courses as it is just a waste of time, the other possibility is that they are trying to actively deceive people and they are trying to purposely separate the concept of blockchain and bitcoin, and while they are not the same thing the blockchain would not have been created if satoshi did not had something like bitcoin in mind.

Teaching cryptocurrency in schools is really great idea, for all the universities in different places with a program about cryptocurrency will now be more advance about cryptocurrency which is really good for the future because as we all know cryptocurrency is now being prominent around the world and it is possible that it can be a standard currency for all over the world.

As time goes by, technology becomes so used by many people that's why technology keeps evolving, that is why cryptocurrency can be also more known and more upgraded in the future.

I don't know about cryptocurrencies but there are courses related to the blockchain technology available in many universities through out the world.
Cryptocurrency and Blockchain is an advanced topic and hence only it's basics can be really taught in schools.
Once people understand the algorithm of finding a block then computing it with mathematics will encourage students to learn more about it.
Well said, there are already some courses or program about cryptocurrency thought by some universities in different country in the world. The country will be more advanced and powerful when they include cryptocurrency in their curriculum.

In algorithm it is already taught in the both highschool and college level but the cryptocurrency was not be able to taught in that level. What I am trying to say is why we are very afraid to explore new things just like for example cryptocurrency, why we are afraid to do explore those things? What if it is a good thing for us and yet we don't know it is because it is not told or teach in schools and what probably might happen?  Let's be innovative and think smart in order for us to used it in the near future.

There are colleges that are already teaching about cryptocurrency. With bitcoin, someone can gain and earn so much money. If cryptocurrency is taught at schools, many job opportunities would be available to many graduates. There is a high possibility that students will be encouraged and persevered to study hard because they want what they are doing. With cryptocurrency education, netizens will be educated and knowledgeable about electronic money which can make life easier.

Governments wouldn't allow any alternative currencies that could serve as threat to their Local currency and it will destroy their traditional system. But on the bright side, people can still learn about Bitcoin through internet and how this technology could innovate the way of payment and promote financial freedom.

For now, there are few universities who taught these courses and most of them are in capital city of each country. If a person is interested to learn this stuff for free, He/She can always read and watch some countless articles and tutorials about it. after he reads most of it, he can start to lool for the universities that have this kind of course. there are some alternatives too that he can always enroll an online class with this kind of lesson that are related to blockchain.

Agree with that. With our technology nowadays, there are a lot of free info waiting to be tap by eager individuals. This forum alone will give you tons of knowledge when it comes to bitcoin and crypto in general ranging from mining, creating a coin/token, understanding blockchain tech and many more. There are even free online courses and it is up to you where do you want to enrol yourself.

I strongly support the knowledge that bitcoin is given starting from school. Because as early as possible learn about bitcoin is very good.
But according to the article I read, there are already several universities in the world including the blockchain in the course. This is very
good news. As we know blockchain is a very good technology to apply in all sectors of human life, especially in the financial sector to be
more effective, efficient and transparent.

I think the most important is learning blockchain technology, not cryptocurrencies. They are not backed, they have no as great future as blockchain has. Actually, some prominent universities have blockchain programms so that point is covered.
That is the most important thing about cryptocurrency, the system behind the decentralized network is what makes the cryptocurrency famous for transferred data unalterable making tons of ideas to be applied in the real world, best fit in financial terms. This is also why banks are studying the digitalization process by which some assets could be just be a back and the front end is the digital one. There are already universities that offers a program in line with the blockchain but honestly to get to those universities requires a lot of credentials just like MIT.

maybe you missed a little information about cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, if you take a little time to search about Bitcoin, I think the question has been answered and done a long time ago by many educational universities in the world, for example, Britain, Russia etc.

Well, I'm not saying to be some schools, I'm emphasizing to be taught in schools. Since you were saying that it's been almost many years passed teaching this bitcoin, but why not all schools are involved to this teachings? If we are making bitcoin to go on progress, then we should let most of new students understand the flow of this from basic upto the level they wanted to. This is investment and we need to outgrow our investment to these young investor.

Yes- we need cryrocurency education but it should not only be on a mathematical aspect.

It should included in economics modules and entrepreneurial modules.
This is because we need new set of entrepreneurs and policymakers that are knowledgeable around this financial revolution.
