Physical Bitcoin ATM will certainly help a lot. When money needed for expenses, anyone can convert the Bitcoin into the local currency in few minutes. Really expect every country to accept Bitcoin and allow its usage so that we will be free enough to use such ATMs kept at gas station or where a crowd is seen. Yes Gas station is one of the main spot where people are often seen. Keeping Bitcoin here, will certainly support the crypto holders live around the station. Wish to have experience in navigating through Bitcoin ATM.
Not  only  with withdrawing but also rather on buying out bitcoins in ease but of course fees are bit higher but not really that much of an issue. We've seen that adoption is on the move and take a look on El salvador

on how many ATM's that they do have and as i remembered on news they do have 200 atms which is really a good news and there are countries which does have some numbers too.

As adoption is moving then its no surprising that we would see these machines even more often in the upcoming years to come even though there would be places that would really be against it.

Not against the innovation of Crypto, but I don't quite feel safe using ATMs for Bitcoin. Well, as we all know that having engaged in Bitcoin or Crypto we are bound to be anonymous as much as possible. The assurance of safety is questionable especially since unmanned ATMs are prone to be hacked or modified to be a source of Phishing nonetheless, there would be some sort of 24/7 cyber security or something/someone who will make the ATMs as safe as possible.

The use of bitcoin ATM is becoming more and more popular in the cities and the latest is a bitcoin ATM installed in a gas station in the Montana and delis, having a bitcoin ATM in a gas station is another milestone for the entire usage of bitcoin what I can tell is if one can pay for gas using bitcoin in the station but the fact is bitcoin is gaining widespread adoption. What are your takes on this new development.

I'm trying to get deeper what is the reason why the operator installed ATM in this place where does not represent strategic location for me.
yeah there are tons of people come and go in gas station but is there really that much bitcoin user on that area in which they are targeting ?
i know that there are in casinos or even in Malls but gas station is somewhere that people mostly have their card and ready to use paying.

I think the gas station is a strategic place, because most people nowadays own a vehicle. So they will go to the gas station to refuel their vehicle,
so the gas station is a place that is often visited by many people. There is a Bitcoin ATM machine at the gas station which is a good decision,
besides making people who don't know Bitcoin curious, but for people who have Bitcoin it becomes a very helpful thing for them to make transactions.
I don't know how many Bitcoin users are in the area, I definitely believe that the more Bitcoin ATM machines are spread out, the faster
the adoption process will take place. So I am among those who support if there is a Bitcoin ATM machine at the gas station.

I am sure the operator of the gas station is trying to promote the use of Bitcoin for gas refill as it will be more convenient and can cost saving. With the Bitcoin ATM in the gas station, new customers will flood in for other bitcoin transactions on the ATM.

Bitcoin ATM has been a thing already for the past 2 years I think and there are over thousands of it all over the US. It's just that it's becoming a trend nowadays maybe to garner more customers and be the talk of the town. This seems like a free advertisement to me since the people would do the talking to spread the news themselves. Although this is still a positive thing because bitcoin is already welcomed in the financial systems of certain countries. It's still a nice thing that bitcoin adoption is slowly entering this modern age.

However, this kind of thing usually asks for huge transaction fees. I just hope they will find a way to transact in lesser transaction fees+ because if ever they will continue with such a high fee, the people will eventually abandon using btc and just use fiat money again instead to avoid the unnecessary fees in every transaction they will make.

ATM bitcoin on gas stations or on shopping complexes doesn't make much difference. Because all are a public place and pretty easy to use as well. Increasing Bitcoin ATM means it easier to use your funds although transaction fees are quite high, at least there is real use. Bitcoin ATM is effective adoption for bitcoin. As much as Bitcoin becomes easy to use the value will increase rapidly. The value doesn't mean the only price, value fully depends on the community. Hope soon we will see more Bitcoin ATMs everywhere.

Totally agree with you, as the time comes, people will use bitcoin as their daily currency and by that more funds will be transferred and will result into a higher value. Although Bitcoin ATM is note new, providing more of it will become convenient for those who already have it, making it the transaction everywhere possible but I don't know how fees will be added to it. If the fees is high it will be a hindrance for the decision of the users.

We witness the gas station example especially in many places in the US. Of course this is a strategic move. They want to install these ATMs where people are going the most to attract their attention. In terms of Bitcoin adoption, the increase in the number of these Bitcoin ATMs is a really helpful incident. Because every day, there will be more people who are seeing these and getting curious about it. Maybe not all of them will give Bitcoin a try but there will still be some people entering this market.

A new Bitcoin ATM was installed in my neighborhood last week and a lot of people are complaining about the security requirement because to use the ATM you will need a passport for some form of KYC.

How does this happen? You approach an ATM and there is guy next to it asking to provide a passport? Or you enter private information (like passport Nr.) in ATM's UI ? Or present a passport to a laser and it scans info and then proceed to next UI screen? If there is no person involved in "checking passport" then anyone else passport can be used. And that is in my opinion is illogical.

That's the exact argument coin mixers use to justify their services.  Privacy.

If you buy bitcoin from an ATM that knows *you* have a wallet address 3soMeRanDom1oRoTHerXXXXXetc (according to the blurbs at least) "THEY" can track where and what you spend your funds on.

BTC ATM's in gas-stations may not be for everyone.

Proliferation of bitcoin ATMs anywhere in every country is a great development of bitcoin but unfortunately bitcoin ATM is just limited in an open countries that support cryptocurrency. Maybe next time not only in gas station but also in different public places, where people can easily access their bitcoins using bitcoin atm. Hopefully we can also have bitcoin atm in our country.

That's quite sad. I just hope that you can still trade Bitcoins in your country. Having Bitcoin not being legal tender does not make it illegal though. At least people can still somehow do some behind the scenes transaction where they can use Bitcoin under the radar without the authorities knowing. Just not gonna be too noisy.

Previously what I’ve often just seen shared locally is a gasoline station and other businesses, big or small, accept bitcoin payment.  Then now there is an ATM.  Well, it's not new to me because I've seen something like this in other conversations.  But that's it, maybe it's in another region, and it's in another as well.  This is just one of the signs that Bitcoin is expanding its reach and its adoption.  There will also come a time when we will experience using that.

I've noticed over time that service stations and local convenience stores here have at least one ATM within their premises in part as a way for people to get cash for small items instead of the cashier asking if the customer wants "cash out" with their EFTPOS purchase.  (I can't even recall the last time a cashier anywhere asked me if I want cash out).

I'm wondering if by having BTC ATM's inside service stations/convenience stores whether or not this is a first step towards offering bitcoin transactions instead of fiat EFT Huh

We can see Bitcoin ATMs at many places now. And as far as I know, USA is the country which has the biggest amount of Bitcoin ATMs now. According to a website, there are 42266 Bitcoin ATMs there. This is really an insane amount. You can come across them nearly everywhere there I guess.

Before the pandemic, I have seen Bitcoin ATMs mostly inside the malls in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc. Here in the Philippines, there’s one active ATM that is under regulation by the central bank, which is Unionbank’s crypto ATM. However, I’ve never encountered any Bitcoin ATM near the gas station.

Although it’s a good thing that the Bitcoin ATM was deployed in a gas station, but the real question is if they are regulated and licensed to operate there.

I noticed a picture of a bitcoin atm that looks like it's in hong kong, is it legal for bitcoin transactions in hong kong, see if i saw the picture wrong or can someone explain it in more detail?

Hong Kong is a Chinese territory with an independent legal and government system, and the rights of citizens are separate from its parent country. Regarding regulations, investing in crypto in Hong Kong is currently legal, it can be said that Hong Kong has the clearest and most detailed requirements for licensing of VASPs. 9 major exchanges are based in that region.

But one of the local financial institutions there has made a proposal for new limits on crypto-based investment or companies. If this proposal becomes a new policy, I doubt that the Bitcoin ATM business in Hong Kong will have the prospects as previously expected.
