Installing Bitcoin ATM machines at gas stations is a very good initiative. People will be able to enjoy many benefits if shopping complexes can be set up at gas stations etc.If Bitcoin ATMs are set up in different places, people will be able to transact in a matter of moments. So I really like the idea of putting bitcoin in this gas station.

Previously what I’ve often just seen shared locally is a gasoline station and other businesses, big or small, accept bitcoin payment.  Then now there is an ATM.  Well, it's not new to me because I've seen something like this in other conversations.  But that's it, maybe it's in another region, and it's in another as well.  This is just one of the signs that Bitcoin is expanding its reach and its adoption.  There will also come a time when we will experience using that.

It will be another convenience especially for crypto users who are always traveling. The gas station is commonplace mostly for ATMs so it will be a good place but I hope that they would also put more in public places like shopping malls and supermarkets. This kind of development is considered as a good milestone for crypto users who are aiming for more adoptions.

bitcoin users, the more evidence there is atm bitcoin at the gas station here, we can feel that in the future bitcoin will definitely compete with cash, maybe even bitcoin in the future will be easier to transact compared to fiat.
Well, unless the government regulates them, we will have a hard time predicting correctly the future for bitcoin ATM because as of now, these bitcoin ATMs aren't regulated yet but you are right that with more accessibility for bitcoin, that it will be a good future.

Cool and exciting to see new bitcoin ATMs in different models and sizes, but I will appreciate it if you can state the locations of those ATMs so that members around that location can know these developments.

Do you know that after reading the subject topic I thought I will open it and see a different story but I was flabbergasted really seeing it's true. This is really a positive development as well as awareness for bitcoin.

Big businessmen have seen the light for the future of the company, bitcoin has become their hope to take one step forward. they have started to adopt bitcoin and become a medium of exchange in transactions at every opportunity.
some countries still refuse to use bitcoin, but big companies I don't think they are stupid, will definitely adopt bitcoin quietly and become company assets in the future.

The use of bitcoin ATM is becoming more and more popular in the cities and the latest is a bitcoin ATM installed in a gas station in the Montana and delis, having a bitcoin ATM in a gas station is another milestone for the entire usage of bitcoin what I can tell is if one can pay for gas using bitcoin in the station but the fact is bitcoin is gaining widespread adoption. What are your takes on this new development.

Unfortunately this will not happen in my country. They do not prohibit the existence of bitcoin, it's just that the government says bitcoin is not a legal tender in our country. Even though the development of bitcoin ATMs is really very good, considering there are other functions than trading.

actually this is a good thing it's just that in my opinion is how to apply oil prices and bitcoin prices. because the price of bitcoin has fluctuations up and down. if it doesn't match I think there is one party who is at a loss because the price is different

This information is nice to read and it brings hope and positivity, soon all these Bitcoin ATM's became an ordinary scene in most countries around the globe, and if more and more people will be using Bitcoin in every country I'm sure the politicians and their respective governments will consider it as an alternative currency/asset other than fiat and those atm's will not be only limited in gasoline stations but in all other busy places in every city and every country. anyway, it was just part of my positive opinion.

Its more of a promotion for the companies installing these ATMs. This is good if the gas station alo accepts BTC as payment so it will make sense.

The gasoline station has warnings about not using phones though whenever near the pumps. Hope we won't be seeing news about gasoline station explodes because of BTC payment. That would be a worse fud news 😄

An ATM installed on gas station and getting access to pay with bitcoin shows the progressive market and the advanced thinking of the Gas station owner who have come up with this plan.

It is clear to know at present it won't generate big revenue, with time it'll give good profit in the future. Because, now people have got the free access to pay for the gas, if paid with bitcoin it'll cost atleast a 10% fee which is really big and very few who are much passionate using bitcoin unlike its fee go for it.

Wait a sec.. Are you saying they've started accepting bitcoin on petrol stations?
In 2010 a good internet connection was a big deal let alone people accepting bitcoin anywhere and after 10 years it's officially accepted in petrol stations, quite a progress.

Can you tell me which country or state is doing this?

We will hear more of these news day by day. Bitcoin is slowly starting to enter every person's life. Who knows, maybe all cash machines will turn into bitcoin machines in the future.
Bitcoin usage is increasing but I'm not sure the government in the future will allow traditional fiat atm to be replaced with bitcoin atm...

I think atm machines around the world will be able to give users options whether they want to withdraw/deposit money with Bitcoin or fiat. I myself am really looking forward to the bitcoin atm machine being in my country, it will definitely be big news.
Why would really people been thinking that it should replace fiat ATM's if both things could exist on the same time on where people could have an option?

Yeah, this might be requiring more adoption rate to be seen these atms on lots of places but at least we are seeing some progress on where recognition of its existence then that would

already be a considerable thing that we are really heading on that one.No matter how hard it would be accepted in some countries but not all would really be ending up on the same decision.

These things have started to be non-news, more like adverts for the companies installing them, make a quick interview about a company, promote it and classify it as news. The most important thing in all of this is one line:

Quote
Fees range from 6% to 20% of a total transaction,

At those rates, those things are starting to target one-time shoppers, fleece them as much as they can, and then to the next buyer or more like victim rather than focusing on volume and on dedicated customers. Just for fun, I looked two weeks ago at a Batm, the fees were not that bad at 7% but buying 100 euros worth of bitcoin wouldn't get me 93euros in my wallet because they would also charge me close to 15 euros for the tx.

If they keep these things up and go full KYC on every purchase they will soon be left with no customers.
And they are left without customers. My friend has a cafe in one small country but his cafe is located in a very prestigious area where you'll often see the tourists. They not only walk near his cafe but they also usually hire the apartments in that area. Tourists are mostly from Russia and East European countries and there were times when I was often in his cafe during the day.

I have never seen tourists or local people using the Bitcoin ATM in his cafe. Once, an old woman came here and asked us to help her in paying of bills Cheesy I have said this story already in past. I can really confirm that no one uses that ATM, it's not profitable, have never been too but idk, it's still in his cafe and the owner of that ATM pays him the rent price.
Also, there was one crypto cafe opened in another prestigious area. My GYM was in front of that Cafe, so, I was seeing that cafe from outside every day. Sometimes I was even visiting them and you know what's funny? No one was paying with crypto but with cash Cheesy

Those fees are rediculous how can they charge as high as that? I am sorry but for those saying that Bitcoin atms are good they are not if they are charging that amount that is robbery and you should not be paying any fee. AFAIK the atms work by querying a API from a popular exchange they do not do the converting themselves and they do not deserve to charge those rediculous fees.

The innovation is nice and a very much welcomed one for sure. I've heard of bitcoin being used in a number of places but, at the gas station is one place I've not seen the use, judging by the wait time it would take to confirm transactions and actually getting your gas but then, I come to understand that, this innovations goes far above the services for which is rendered by the machine itself, its a sort of innovation that actually justifies claims that bitcoin isn't a scam, isn't an insecure project and could be used in an everyday life as well. Innovations like this in the public is a good boost of curiosity in the minds of the public and who knows, a lot of persons would want to try it out thereby, bringing in more and more investors.
