Many speculations and so called "news"have already spreaded regarding bitcoin being banned in india but there is still no confirmation from their goverment or any law regarding it. I think its still best to ask someone who living or have been in that place since they are the ones who know the real thing there. I think there may be some restrictions regarding the use of it but still it is not totally banned.

this ban is just a temporary restriction on the part of the government, but they will not be able to keep it for long because of their desire for development because bitcoin is a new unique resource for the economy

Govt. may want to regulate cryptos in India. As of now one cannot trade cryptos and we all should wait and watch.

I think cryptos are not banned yet in India. but I am sure there are some pros and cons with cryptos so rumors fly. as I know there is no law to set this yet, but if the cryptos are spreading more I guess government will set the rules and laws for it

While the government is considering the use of blockchain technology to organize records,
it doesn’t consider cryptocurrencies as legal tender and will take all measures to eliminate their use in financing.
India’s central bank is opposed to cryptocurrencies given that they can be a channel for money laundering and terrorist financing.

Bitcoin is not as such banned in India. RBI has filed a case  against all the crypto exchanges due to which no bank is allowing these exchanges to convert crypto into rupees from 5th july.So that is why these exchanges are not able to provide any services until the next hearing which is on 18th or 20th of july. If the decision will come in the favour of these exchanges then they will start working again and if the decision will come in the favour of RBI then I don't think that people in India will be able to work with crypto as they will not be able to convert crypto into fiat and if the decison will be postponed to the next hearing then these exchanges will not be able to work until the decison. So lets wait for the next hearing.

These prohibitions have no effect. I think young people in India will rush to buy bitcoins like they rush to buy gold.

In the past year we have seen a lot of Indians starting to invest in bitcoin, and in the ICO field there have been India projects, and I think the India government will not launch too much of the ban on bitcoin.

If India launches moderate supervision, it will be advantageous to the development of bitcoin in this country, so that more people can join the encrypted world.

Latest information from the bitcoin mayor in India is that the efforts of the Indian exchanges have scored in the eyes of the government, making lawmakers reconsider Bitcoin and the mainstream electronic money segment. India has decided to conduct market management and create a fair environment for the exchange

It is understandable that the government may control the trading of bitcoin in the country by strengthening tax revenue, which will not limit the development of bitcoin.

There is no Cryptocurrency ban in India as of now. The Finance Minister said in a statement that Bitcoin is not a legitimate means of payment, but does not call it illegal. The government welcomes Blockchain technology in its payment gateway system. You are still seeing some ICOs born from India, and unfortunately you are starting to doubt their project. They make ICO easily just to earn money and this is bad. This may be the reason why India forbids cryptocurrancy when in the future this technology will be a good solution.

Some of my friends in Mumbai are investing in bitcoin, which has little impact on India's domestic investment.

No it's not banned in India, though there is no clear stand on this by Indian government. As far as I know you can still trade on indian exchanges and deposit/withdraw funds through those exchanges. Zebpay, Koinex, BitBnS are some of the good exchanges. Yes there's some restrictions applied to them by banks and there is court case filed by crypto space people against the reserve bank of India. But it will take some time till this situation got clear in India.

I heard that India has banned cryptocurrency but i only think that it is just a rumour. Rumours are created by haters who want people to sway away from cryptocurrency. India has a very big strategic value in terms of cryptocurrency.

I think that is just rumors of sharks who want to subdue BTC prices at this time so they can lose more buy at low prices. There will be nothing when there is official information.
