Another basic you need to know is that the capital B is different from the small b in bitcoin terms. Capital B means the Blockchain network, and the small b means the coin. Therefore when you see Bitcoin it means blockchain network while bitcoin is meant for the coin. cheers.
This distinction got lost throughout the years. People don't really pay much attention to how they spell far more important words than bitcoin/Bitcoin. But you are right about what you said. I wrote a thread on this topic a few years ago with a poll to see if people pay any attention to the difference in spelling. Most replies suggest that no one cares.

Do you know the difference between Bitcoin and bitcoin?

Binance has the Binance Academy. That's also not a bad place to start if you are a beginner. They have articles on various topics and even a few quizzes that you can take to test your knowledge. I would suggest the Phishing Quiz

A good starting point is the Bitcoin White Paper, where you will learn the technical side of Bitcoin.
https://bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf

To understand how it works you will have to understand cryptography, because that's all about, each time you sign a transaction or each time you see a new block there is cryptography behind that move.

And you will hit a point where you understand that you don't need to fully understand the bitcoin backend to use it. It's like driving a car, you don't need to understand how the motor works to drive it.

The first basics of bitcoin is to know the network that controls the affairs of bitcoin. Sending and receiving of bitcoin is done on the blockchain network. Do not see bitcoin as a get rich quick scheme and the more you choose to learn about bitcoin the better for you. Because bitcoin is filled with multiple of knowledge that's yet to be learnt by it's users. So, if you care to know much about bitcoin, you'll be compelled to browse the forum on regular basis to understand how the network works. Another basic you need to know is that the capital B is different from the small b in bitcoin terms. Capital B means the Blockchain network, and the small b means the coin. Therefore when you see Bitcoin it means blockchain network while bitcoin is meant for the coin. cheers.
