I don't think all altcoins are going to die if ever Bitcoin goes up to $100K. And even bitcoin does not reach that point, if the altcoin is really bad, it is just going to die out sooner or later. Developing coins and good altcoins will continue to stay in the competition as well.
not all altcoins will die. maybe history like 2017 will repeat itself. right now I think big altcoins might like ethereum, xrp and others will still be able to survive if altcoin is priced at $ 100k but altcoin with low prices, low volume and also less interested. will definitely fall
Altcoin will loss its value and it's possible. You must not take the old history of the altcoin as a good information to determine where will the market be going on as so many experts have been doing the same and they are all getting failed to predict where is the direction of the market. 
Why we are always into prediction that once Bitcoin have reached its peak price all Altcoins will die? Both are different cryptocurrencies that have greater use for us individuals because Altcoins do come from projects that offer greater solutions not just to provide profit for us. If we will be just focusing and keep on relying into Bitcoin, we will be dependent on it and once Bitcoin have fallen down so hard, many people will surely rant and talk about negativities about it. I believe that once Bitcoin reaches such point if price, only few or most of the useless or unworthy Altcoins will be eliminated and those that are useful will remain not a total phase out because Altcoins like Bitcoin have a relevant use for us in the crypto community not just for the sake of gaining or earning profit but more likely beyond that.
I'm sure the majority of them will. Not because of Bitcoin hitting an all time high or anything, but more because they are worthless and all of that money coming into the market will be invested into other things. There's just too many projects out there and the majority of them aren't even worth looking in to. I'm sure almost everything in the top 20 or so on coinmarketcap will actually benefit from all of that new money coming into the market.

I think it will take a lot of time for Bitcoin to reach $ 100,000 worth, maybe years. Bitcoin will need a lot of effort. There is no doubt that if the price of bitcoin went that high there will be huge headlines all over the world about it, I just have one problem with it, and that is that most likely bitcoin will be in the middle of a bubble and we know what happens with bubbles, eventually the price will begin to go down and all of those people that bought near the top of the market are going to be completely crushed when the price begins to move down very rapidly, and this will create in many people a feeling of being scammed by this market. I think it is still very early to talk about this because the market is still in a downtrend and the psychology of investors is not stable so it is best to only predict Bitcoin in the range of $10k to $15k because this is the achievable price. In my opinion, Bitcoin to reach $100k is really still very far and certainly will not happen in the next 10 years because investor prediction will often be inaccurate in the bear market.Of course, if Bitcoin gains new growth, the altcoin will also increase very high because this market depends so much on this coin so Bitcoin will certainly never disappoint us.

Yeah, max keiser. That's all you really need to know about that article, which is old news by now.Assuming btc ever did hit $100,000 altcoins would be going along for the ride and wouldn't be crushed by btc whatsoever. That's my assumption anyway and it's based on past behavior of altcoins when bitcoin goes off.
Keiser doesn't give a crap about bitcoin or alts anyhow. The only thing he really cares about is constantly pumping gold and silver, and it's a tired old story by now.

Is it clear that BTC will reach 100k one day? Maybe it never reaches to 20k again. So far we have seen that whenever BTC rises, alt coin also rises and same will be seen if BTC touches 100k eth will touch 20k.
Bitcoin at some point will surpass its all time high, it is just a matter of time so the only thing that you have to worry about is if you are still going to be holding your bitcoins when that happens, but it is really doubtful that if bitcoin reaches 100000 ethereum will reach 20000, the supply of ethereum is simply too big and even worse there is not a limit to the amount of ethereums that are going to be created so in a way ethereum is not really that different than any other fiat.I believe that Bitcoin will surpass its all time high, too. I also think that not all old altcoins will die, but I feel a lot of new Altcoins launched from 2016 to 2017 are dead before bitcoin to $ 100k, I hope that ICO will die before so that not many people are tricked into buying and following ICO except buying it's bitcoin and Altcoin which are worth buying and investing, but I don't know there might be a big altcoin going bankrupt in the near future
The useless ones will die yes but the one with real product behind them probably no. Don't agree with this article.
