I run a "free Bitcoins on Twitter" site called BTCFor.me, but my primary Bitcoin related business is a NSFW sex toy shop called tit4bit.com. Smiley I've been telling as many people as possible about Bitcoin, and primarily hang out on Reddit, but I thought it was time to join THE Bitcoin Forum.

muyuu,

Thank you very much for the reply. It was actually a discussion thread about a floating blockchain size that brought me here.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/how-a-floating-blocksize-limit-inevitably-leads-towards-centralization-144895

There are problems with stability of the bitcoin if the money supply is not allowed to grow, Right now we are in a stable position because the entropy gradient is positive. However the number of coins in supply will slowly go down, due to loss. This is not a problem now, however it will become a problem of limiting future growth due to systemic stability issues.

You can also check this thread I opened:

As for the stock exchange. What an individual can do is to create uniquely certificates that are functionally exactly like bitcoin. These certificates have a unique key from the person who made them. Because they are uniquely distinguishable from other certificates, unlike bitcoin. They have a distinct relative value associated with them due to their unique identification. The block chain acts as an overall encryption of all stock certificates.

This idea is not a stock exchange per say although anyone can create an exchange. This idea is a time stamped cryptological stock certificate.  Each certificate would have a unique bitcoin address tied to it allowing dividend payment and a few other features I am working out.

The exchange portion, where people trade these can be done on a P2P basis or can be done on something like Mt Gox. Governments cannot get rid of trade, they can however make it more difficult, just like with bitcoin. Ownership is private and certificates can be traded offline, just like paper stock certificates of yore.

There has also been talk about similar ideas, but ultimately you can just trade addresses with balances on them.

I'd judge based on implementation :-)

I am a theorist. I developed a framework to create an open source stock exchange, the concept I call Bitcoin Open Source Stock Exchange (BOSSE).

I have no development experience and will present the idea this May at the conference. The idea is to create a code framework that leverages the characteristics of bitcoin, preventing governmental DOS and allow individuals to exchange stock certificates in a PTP basis.

The model does allow for exchanges, where companies would pay to list for faster transaction speeds, fee for service, something akin to Mt Gox like a currency exchange, but this is for stocks.

If you are interested in hearing the framework, please promote me from Newbie status.

I also have some ideas on how to adjust the BTC production algorithm to allow stability in the quantity of money in circulation as a function of the cost of mining BTC, borrowing from the physical model of gold production here.

About the production rate: it's not going to change. It's completely taboo to even mention the possibility of changing it, for several reasons. But as you stay around you'll see.

Just introducing myself, Shaman Iotas Took. I'm not new to bitcoin at all. In fact, I was mining coins in 2009 on university computers and having a great time. I haven't done any mining since 2010, have just been watching bitcoin develop over the past few years. I am an software architect with experience across the board. I've worked in software engineering and architecture in Enterprise, but I also have extensive experience in startups,

My current project is what brings me here at this time. I won't blabber on about what i'm doing just yet, as I believe it's better to show than tell. I've got some prototype development done, and I feel I'm about 3-4 weeks out from having a publicly accessible beta.

My goal is to help drive massive BTC adoption and expand the value of the currency in a novel new application of proof-of-work. I've read the boards enough over the years to know the massive sighs that 'proof-of' discussions will certainly evoke--my favorite being proof-of-burn haha...My project is not simply another alt coin. In all humility and honesty I can say that if nothing else, everyone with any technical ability to understand will have to admit the idea is intriguing...and I also figure that I'm not hurting anyone by trying this crazy new idea because 1) i'm doing all the work myself, for now, 2) i'm not asking for btc or money from others to support the venture, yet and 3) let's be honest, BTC is really facing some MAJOR obstacles here, and unless someone thinks of something truly novel, it's going to be a LOOOONNNGG road to wide adoption.

So if I am wrong, then everyone has a new idea to rip to shreds and nobody got hurt! But hey, sure beats revisiting the same old discussions about MTGOX and Satoshidice (on opposite ends of the spectrum)....did i mention i'm going to need some help doing some DDOS attack testing Cheesy so if nothing else, everyone has a little fun with what I guarantee is a new idea...

But if I am right, this could be the disruptive conceptual development we've all been waiting and hunting for! seriously....

Hey!

I have created Bitcoin.Travel website, the first bitcoin directory of online and real-world businesses currently accepting bitcoin. This website is already recognizable among bitcoiners worldwide. Our site is already recognizable among bitcoin community around the world. We are mentioned on WeUseCoins website and Wikipedia, therefore our service is highly positioned on multiple search engines (like Google) on phrases like: "bitcoin travel", "bitcoin directory", "bitcoin hotel", "travel for bitcoins" and "bitcoin" keyword itself. We would like to help bitcoin enthusiasts with promoting their business online. I am planning further development to transform it into a Trevelocity/Trip Advisor type website that integrates bitcoin payment for services. I feel like bitcoin has a ton of potential with travelers. I'm currently querying smaller travel agencies to gauge interest. The bitcoin travelers would pay us in bitcoin and in turn we'd pay the hotels/rentals/airlines etc.. in whatever currency they prefer.

I am also a developer of recognizable Polish-language services (bitkoin.pl , paybit.pl , bitmoneta.pl) with news and info about bitcoin trying to popularize this project among Polish-speaking audience.

I am also an active r/bitcoin user under the same nick.

Regards,
Tom from Poland.

I am a lawyer based in the US wanting to offer anonymous legal consulting services for clients who want more protection than the standard attorney-client privilege.  I have extensive experience advising small businesses, but why hire a bitcoin lawyer to handle problems a regular lawyer could handle?  Bitcoin's anonymity allows you to seek advice without divulging your identity to an attorney and allows the attorney to dispense advice that would be otherwise considered unethical or illegal.

While I won't divulge my true identity, I will give you some free advice to prove my credentials.  If you have a question, ask me and I will answer.  If I can help, we can discuss rates.

What is your field?
