Bitcoin simply can't disappear from your wallet until and unless you spent it or someone hacks it out. Bitcoin is like your bank account. like the money can't disappear out of the blue, so as the bitcoin.
If bitcoin goes scam them many people will loose millions of dollars. It will certainly bring down the moral of many investors, but nowadays we have many alternatives like dash or ETH...so the crypto currency market will survive anyhow.

2-3 years is a short time. I think it will be here for more than that. The fact that it is an online currency and people are always online is the reason that it will stay long. It can be also upgraded to even more, enhancing its usage in different areas of online transactions.

But at present bitcoin disappearing is not a problem and is not possible. Billions of dollars are invested into it that's why it become stable and will exist for a hundred of years.
I agree to waht you have said, bitcoin would last for how many years since there are lot left of bitcoins to be mines and according to the article it says 260+ halving left which means bitcoin would never die in our lifespan. There are lot of investors into it and its very impossible to disappear nowadays.

Yeah it is true, because all the technology that is now in the future there will be the latest technology and can make the technology is now abandoned. I think ethreum might be able to be a good candidate, but I am less sure of that. Because the ethereum doesn't give quite protruding from the bitcoin. So maybe the ethereum will survive like that.

it is not a thing that can happen over time, because in order for bitcoin to disappear it needs to stop working which means there should be something horribly wrong with the code (which is not possible by the way because it has been reviewed and tested for so many years) and that problem should be un-fixable because any bug can be fixed and we can move on.
I agree since Bitcoin passes all those problems (bug, code problem ) and its resolved already and i think its so hard for now that it would happen again to bitcoin that would make it disappear as of days. Even though its not stable on it price but the system is stable enough to survive for long years.
