In 2016 there is no way i see it disappear. Bitcon has become famous over the last couple of years, and if you look at the market cap. ~`0 billion you will see that it will take a lot of effort to make bitcoin disappear.

Bitcoin can dissappear because it only a ceypto currency no physical banks hold it and everything in the net can collapse because it is too risky in a malicious attacks bu scammer. But the percentage of btc to disappear is very small. But theres always a possibility even if its small. only if another better technologies than cryptocurrency or blockchain system hasn't appear yet,so bitcoin could grew up more bigger,but see,so many altcoins out there always making new innoviation and it's quite interesting

Bitcoin will only disappear if this community stops support bitcoin or if some big issue comes at bitcoin, currently the big problem and question are at the miners hash after mine ends what would be the next way to handle those. As we all know bitcoin is safe,its security is protected by the hash, without hash bitcoin has no security.

well i think you might be right, there are a lot of people who invest into bitcoins right now and i think that will definitely push the price up only pretty soon

You cant conclude that it would disappear in 40 years, it might be still alive when we are already dead and our grandsons would reach it someday. No one knows, bitcoin has the potential and future to last long since its been used for many of us now and everyday its developing how much more in upcoming year unless if theres a big problem then that would be a bad thing.

i think 40 is just a random number he throw out there because i can't really find anything happening in the year 2056 (which is 40 years from now). and yeah bitcoin can disappear but in a very longer time and only if in the future there is a brand new technology that can make bitcoin obsolete, there is no other way.

agree since all things have beginning and also has its ending but for now it would take too many years to be disappear, as you mentioned about gold it could be possibly disappeared but it would take time since gold is a precious metal part of this world. In a short or long run bitcoin won't get disappeared similar to various digital currencies that got existed and vanished in a short time. Only possibility is to get disappear when production gets stopped. Also if such disappearing occurs bitcoin exists in a new form or name soon.

Yes bitcoin can disappear overnight but wait, that can happen with our earth too. If you are associated with crypto currencies from long time then you might have seen many alternative struggling crypto currencies have disappeared overnight.

I believe that bitcoin has passed struggling period long ago and now it is heading towards a mainstream currency which will be treated as good alternative to fiat currencies. Although if you think bitcoin will disappear overnight then you should really analyze economic conditions (which are actually in favor of this technology).

That's right and i think some stores locally will also accept bitcoin as payment like brazil they have 150 stores are accepting bitcoin as payment and they are growing.. so in other country it will happen too in the future..

Yeah seeing its trend over the market its likely to happen that with its price and bitcoin can't be scam never ! as many experts are already trusting it and they aren't fools to do that if it was scam and it can't be disappear as long as all bitcoiners leave using it !

yes there is no doubt about this. the popularity of bitcoin is increasing day by day, in some areas people are using i as a local currency, people are investing their capital in bitcoin and thy are expecting that the price of bitcoin will increase much more. so i can say that such a good crypto currency system cannot be a scam. in future bitcoin is going to become a global currency and people will use it a one equal currency in all over the world.
