By this yeat i can confident say that it is a yes,its possible by this time.Bitcoi price now adays is keep on pumping and lose value sometimes but still rise up more than the price they use to beforit get dump.Besides 2018 is the year i predict that thats the time when it will dump
Its not impossible to happen because day by day many people get involve to accept bitcoin so expect it. But the main question is when and I don't feel that this year will hit that amount.

My gut feeling tells me that this is not going to happen this year, with the crashes between BU and Core on-going. Once this is solved (for example, the activation of Segwit etc), we can expect double or triple the current price- which is unlikely to happen this year. Hope I am wrong.

Economists are predicting that Bitcoin can reach that value in a year, tho' there are factors to consider, the acceptance and popularity and the bloom of usage of Bitcoin can increase drastically the price. The central banks who takes note of it's regulation is a good influence too. Well nothing is impossible but we must have point on this potential and work hard in this community. Good days are coming. If the ongoing price increase continues with respect to the increase of users around the globe, then surely within a years time we can reach $3000 per coin. Or else in the same way as Japan few countries need to regulate bitcoin as an acceptable currency.
