Because if we are talking about the first option, then I would like to say that it is almost impossible with the current infrastructure, the blockchain itself is just not ready to maintain with such a price for one bitcoin, because that would attract massive amount of people.
We are already having issues, which is why nowadays are not so certain like before, it is still not said but there is a high chance of a hard-fork.
All that leads me to the conclusion, that most likely we are not ready to see 3000$/btc in this year, the price is not going to double so quick.
Well said. But look at the price now, it is more than 2000 dollars. I Have a experience where i've waited almost a week to receive my btc especially the smaller amounts, the pending of receive is taking to long. One of the problems also is the wallet, when massive people uses online wallet there are bugs in the system that occurs. I have seen one of my friends lost at least 200 dollars because they've said that the btc is already claimed but hes not claiming any amount. Disappointed.
With the massive adoption of BTC and the hype, bitcoins price almost rose to 3000 dollars. The price will definitely go up because some countries are legalizing btc as a form of payment. It will become more scarce and some economists predicted that it might even reach the price of 10000 dollars in a year or two.
