Segwit2x successful? It can only result in a negative event. Please lookup what Segwit2x exactly is, I don't think you've got much clue. Segwit, the original proposal that has been activated in August, was the event that caused the market to increase significantly. The Segwit2x proposal is the result of an agreement by various entities to have their shot after allowing the original proposal to activate. Currently there are already a few entities having withdrawn their 'support' for Segwit2x, because they know that this is a completely unnecessary fork, and can potentially harm Bitcoin due to the influence of various malicious entities. Realistic situation is that we'll see a chain split happen, and while some people will be happy with their "free" coins, there is no positivity here.

Eventhough Bitcoin is still recovering from the recent backrop, it is still possible for it to reach 6k before this year end. If same thing woukd happen in the hardfork as I've mentioned earlier. I am imagining what would have been the state had we not got stuck in multiple FUDs this year.
Less certain but i think if we see from the movement of bitcoin prices that continue to go above $4000 there is a possible bitcoin prices could reach $6000 by the end of this year. Well hopefully it really happened, this is surely right now is the right time to start investing for us. And maybe there will be some more recent news also that will coming up and try to hold the bitcoin price going towards to higher i guess.
i am thinking the same with you and as long as there is no bad news is release, i think bitcoin can reach $5000 first and then reach $6000 in the end of the year. but i am curious what will happen in this end of the month because the fork is coming and i am sure that there will be some people that want to make bitcoin price is down because they are waiting the moment to make people panic. we should hold tight our bitcoin to not be weak hands because we don't want to regret if we sell bitcoin at the low price because of panic.

I'm sure that by the end of the year bitcoin will touch the $ 6000 mark. The panic is over and he begins to grow again, even if there is a slight fall, then by the end of the year he will have time to recover.
It is very possible that investors are waiting for the whole SegWit2x situation to resolve before buying more, or they may also be looking for an opportunity to buy cheap coins if there will be some panic during the fork. The situation was similar during SegWit activation and Bcash fork - Bitcoin had a rally to $3,000 some time before those events, then it slowed down, then there was a panic/manipulation which caused a very short lived dip and a few weeks later a new bull run started. But history doesn't always repeat itself, sometimes traders extrapolate past market reactions so the effect of similar events gets smaller.
For me for sure bitcoin price will reach 6k dollars. So if you have extra money in your pocket its better if you invest now in bitcoin and for sure before end of this year 2017 you will earn some profit. But we dont know what actually happen if the price increase or decrease. But for sure as of now now the chances of increasing price is very high.
Uptrend still continue to make a new high levels and biggest resistance level is 10000$ for near future. Buying on uptrend sounds reasonable but smart investors always wait for bounce

Personally I think it could exceed even more, given that Amazon is reportedly considering bitcoin payments on their platform, Chinese coming up with lighter regulations on bitcoin, and Japan coming up with some great ideas to further introduce bitcoin to its people including large business firms.. the last 2 months of this year can still bring a lot of good news and further the price movements. $6000 is attainable, and could even exceed way beyond that.The only thing that can negatively affect the price of bitcoin in the near future is the next split that will occur in November. But, if the price of bitcoin is kept at a high level, by the end of the year we can see 6000 dollars

they make these predictions but do not give details of why they believe in these forecasts, the price is struggling to surpass the $5000 and these guys make predictions of $6000. it seems that they forget the events of November where I think the price will fall and even December the price will fight to stay. maybe next year is possible to reach $6000, I will say after 3 months of next year. But for this year I very much doubt that this will happen

I definitely agree with this. There's a huge possibility that before this year end, Bitcoin will reach the 6k mark even if without China and especially if the next hardfork will be more successful or even as successful as the previous one. The hardfork last august made Bitcoin's valu to reach 4k mark from 2800 in just few weeks. And as I've said, if the fork will be successful, same thing could happen that will make Bitcoin's value to reach 6000. Yes it is not possible for bitcoin to reach that amount.Bitcoin is continue to grow in the digital market. Even there is an issue in china , it can stop bitcoin to become more widen around the more. I do hope it reaches $6000 by the end of year. Maybe the upcoming forks on November (Segwit2x) might hinder or just boost it in anyway. If the prices reaches a new all time high by year end we can expect a wild 1st quarter in 2018. Moreover, it's possible since most of the ICO bans, forks and FUD are being dealt with and the prices now tend to normalize on $4000-$4400 range [Price chart of September and 1st week of October].

At present we're close to the days of $4500, when the same is reached we'll go further speculating about the same to reach $5000. This continues growing with minor fluctuations which is to gain resistance. This will further make the price reach high and by the year end can expect to reach $6000 with the year end increase.
It really depends a lot on how the markets react to the November hard fork, but if it goes well then there is absolutely no reason why we cannot achieve a level as high as $6000, or potentially even more if hard fork goes well.
It's less than a 40% climb, we've seen bitcoin rise by much more than that is just 1 month's time. We've got time to work with, and if market conditions continue to develop into a bull trend then it's definitely a possibility.
I would like to point to the opposite, but I think we will crash somewhere along november, and of course, the only people to blame will be every single idiot involved in yet another hardfork scam. It happened in the past, this time may happen again. I would like to see more companies rejecting the segwit2x NYA to feel more comfortable come november, but there's still a big chunk that haven't said anything.
The hardforkers are determined and they have a big ego, they will fork no matter what happens, it all comes down to bitcoin users to contact everyone supporting S2X and telling them to drop their support. Take action if you want to avoid an unnecessary crash possibly during an ATH.
Yes its possible, bitcoin can reach over $6k by end of this year and may be over $10k by next year. We have already seen an increase of 400% this year so it might not be hard for bitcoin to cross over $6k anytime soon. Next bull run will be supported by over speculation from people about coming hardfork on November.

CNN wow that is one of the unlikely sources I expected to hear such price speculations from, and to be honest its not rocket science that we shall expect a rise towards the end of the year as most people spend the most money around this time world overI am imagining what would have been the state had we not got stuck in multiple FUDs this year.
It's a very nice news if bitcoin can really hit $6000 before 2017 will end, I am positive to this I know bitcoin in unpredictable but given the fact it can appreciate higher than anyone could expect. If the hard fork will not affects the appreciation in bitcoin maybe even in November bitcoin can reach $6000. anyway let's just hope and pray for the best.
There hasn't been much speculation of the hard fork but if Bitcoin Gold (BTG) will also be an airdrop it will most likely give people extra cash to buy assets like bitcoin from the free money. I anticipate a positive reaction from BTC in this upcoming fork. Jump to:
