I do hope it reaches $6000 by the end of year. Maybe the upcoming forks on November (Segwit2x) might hinder or just boost it in anyway. If the prices reaches a new all time high by year end we can expect a wild 1st quarter in 2018. Moreover, it's possible since most of the ICO bans, forks and FUD are being dealt with and the prices now tend to normalize on $4000-$4400 range [Price chart of September and 1st week of October].
It's a very nice news if bitcoin can really hit $6000 before 2017 will end, I am positive to this I know bitcoin in unpredictable but given the fact it can appreciate higher than anyone could expect. If the hard fork will not affects the appreciation in bitcoin maybe even in November bitcoin can reach $6000. anyway let's just hope and pray for the best.

It would be a good Christmas present for many people who have some bitcoins to spare for the presents. Unless any major update will knock the price down making it a very sour one.

Then that’s a good news, but is it enough?. Because I’m expecting much higher than that. So in the end it’s either CNN is wrong or I’m just exaggerating about bitcoin and its price.
6000$ can be achievable only this November alone so after the fork as always a bullish run of prices will be active again as the same of what happened last August. 6500$ to 7000$ is possible at the end of this year.
No matter what, we do agree or not, each opinion and speculation is good way of expressing our trust and believe on bitcoin and to is future.
At present we're close to the days of $4500, when the same is reached we'll go further speculating about the same to reach $5000. This continues growing with minor fluctuations which is to gain resistance. This will further make the price reach high and by the year end can expect to reach $6000 with the year end increase.
It really depends a lot on how the markets react to the November hard fork, but if it goes well then there is absolutely no reason why we cannot achieve a level as high as $6000, or potentially even more if hard fork goes well.
It's less than a 40% climb, we've seen bitcoin rise by much more than that is just 1 month's time. We've got time to work with, and if market conditions continue to develop into a bull trend then it's definitely a possibility.

I don't think so. To reach this goal the price must increase $1700 yet and that is a lot of progress for 2 months in my opinion. If BTC is able to reach $5000 it's already a big achievement. I think this prediction was being adopted by some people months ago when BTC was increasing really fast, they were very optimistic about it, but now that things seem more stable the scenario changed a bit.
To me such an increase is not impossible. we have seen a much higher movement than that. you can see that bitcoin is unexpected. any news can affect the bitcoin price easily. such as the news about the Chinese state that bans on bitcoin, bitcoin prices decrease by more than 1000 $ and now prices are back to normal. this is proof that we can not predict the bitcoin price. anything can happen and everything is like a miracle.if from this october until december we hear many good news, then i am sure that we can reach $6k by year-end but unfortunately we are seeing the fork in november and i think the price will go down like before. there is too many news in out there and we don't know which is true and false news and its just makes people become panic. but if for $6k in the next year then the possibility is wide open as we know bitcoin price will always increase after correction price is happen.

Yes, predicting bitcoin price is too hard. Many other factors contributed to the price swing. Its only about $600 away from $5000 and we still have months left before the end of the year so it really possible that we can breach it once more. Its just a matter of time. This week, bitcoin have seen a highs and lows. If it remains bullish on the next coming days, no doubt that $5000-$6000 is possible.

I really think that the price will be more than 6 thousand dollars before the end of the year, but it needs some time, as one of the above replies said before, we are facing a lot of days in the last days, so we can expect a lot of things in the next weeks or even months. I dont know yet, but we can see anything.

This is good news as bitcoin is currently drawing the attention of mainstream media. We hope to even go above that price as this way the China FUD will definitely die down. I don't think we are there yet but before end of December we would be there. $6,000 will be achieved if there is going to be a next pump before end of this month.
FUD gets circulated for some time period and gets softened after certain time. With bitcoin the market prediction to reach $6000 seems realistic as it has got more time period to stabilize and grow high. Another factor is the price pumping happening close to the end of the year, till now every year end has given a price pumping and the same can be expected this time too profiting the users.

I think this will only happen if the fork in the end of this month works out well, and that the miners continue supporting BTC, the original one. Even if thsi doesnt work out well, BTC has shown several times that it can rebound and get in high values.

we have some big FUD coming on and a lot of drama which can be like the past one and cause some downtime but since all of it will end before the year ends and when it ends the price recovers fast, you can expect a big rally afterwards leading to break the $5000 at first and then go above to test the $6000 resistance.

Let's stay strong, and let's keep fighting the good fight against the corporate takeover. Write to all of your exchanges and wallet providers to NOT support the segwit2x hardfork or else threat them with never using their services again and telling all of your friends to do the same with your bitcoins. These bastards will not get away with this.

It is not unrealistic to think that this could be the case or in fact higher, I expect to see this figure for certain by the early parts of 2018 at the latest. This time next year $6k will probably look cheap.

We need FUDS honestly so we can take advantage of those dips. It's way more better than continous trend to test whether how strong the support is at any given price range level.
Didn't see that sayings by CNN but on the bright note, it was possible and has chances. If we have to based for the recent action last August 1st event, the same thing is expected to happened on November event . Speculations says that there will be a large pump after all was being corrected properly after that. We just have to wait and see.
That's absolutely true. We need FUDs so we can take advantage on the dip. If bitcoin just continue to gain value. People can't afford bitcoin in the future. The recent dip i think it's fair because bitcoin is continues pumping from the past few months. FUDs are just a part of the game. Manipulators are trying to fool people and giving them reasons to sell their bitcoins that could cause bitcoin to crash. Now manipulators will take advantage of that to get handful of bitcoins.
I think we have seen enough FUDs. We are going to moon before the year ends. $6000 bitcoin price still achievable. We should be at that price if FUDs is not created by the manipulators. Even if they spread FUDs again, i don't think many people will buy their FUDs. I think people are aware enough for not believe on their bullshits. Im having a feeling that bitcoin will go up again. Yes FUD is bad for several people that are just starting to earn with bitcoin and they might believe what that FUDster might say, but let's be true here we certainly get something out of that FUD they had drop and let's face it even if we certainly miss the Dip there are still a chance that we can get an earning because bitcoin is here to stay and would increase a lot in the future.
