Bitcoin bull run is nearing its end, the steam is running out. Altcoins will rally after the fallout is all said and done.

BTC price at post $7,288

do you have any technical data to back this up? or are you going by gut feeling. I've heard so many times about the bull run being over but bitcoin just keeps finding more buying power. I thought the bull run was over $1000 ago but you're probably right that it is imminent, im just not so sure it doesn't have another $1000 left in her.

I can see stability coming to the price now that the 2X hard fork has been cancelled but I'm still bullish on the price coming the end of the year, there are rumour of BTC EFT soon and this will be a game changer for all

Why are you so pessimistic? Experts of the marketplace are absolutely convinced that BTC will go on growing further. Yes no no fork but still will be next waves!

Lol. I dont think it's already a dead end for bitcoin. With its popularity and upgraded network (due to bitcoin forkings), I think that it is just the beginning. No one even expected that bitcoin will go this far way back in 2009. As long as the third bitcoin forking is still pending, then I don't see the bitcoin price to fall yet.

Also, it is so obvious that altcoins will be on the rise again once the forking is done, but that doesn't mean that bitcoin will fall down to $3000 or less. The bitcoin craze is not yet over, especially that it's Christmas season. Bitcoin will continuously rise up in the coming weeks or months.

It's $7424 right now. I think a huge correction is the best thing that can happen, there is a lot of cash on the fence from people wanting to buy it cheaper now that they've seen how fast and easy it can go up.

It's only speculation but I think it's highly unlikely to go to a 90% drop as it did in the past.

Bitcoin would experience deeps not a crash. For it to be a crash, it has to drop a very high percentage in a short time. Say 50% in less than 72hrs which I think is unlikely anytime soon. A dip of up to 10% might come, just for correction. But every BTC dip pulls in more money into it which helps it to bounce back.

BTC is here to stay and it's price is yet to reach the plateau.

I think Bitcoin will pullback. With it constantly breaking ATH, the price is not too stable. But how much it's going to pullback is upto the people.

Bitcoin might reach to $8000 before pulling back to $5000 and then double again to $10,000 by the end of the year.
Bitcoin will grow even bigger in 2018. I do think now is the best time to pickup alt coins. They are undervalued in compared to btc.

I dont think it'll ever crash before the fork. Maybe after it might, but I believe it's temporary.
Sooner or later it'll moon again

I agree that a dip is more likely, but lets look at the underlying cause behind the sudden rises.

1) The upcoming fork (serious investors want to get in now before the fork)
2) It's the easiest cryptocurrency to invest in, most media coverage, etc

Still doesn't change the fact that other coins are faster, better, and solve other issues. Long term, invest in other coins. Don't sell your BTC to do so...

Would assume dip rather than crash

Me too

I would say me three, but it could crash too. some kind of a broader adoption is needed to keep it here, because like this, it would go either way. but the dip would be nice, to get some other altcoins up.

As of now, it's value to USD is at $7,426. I still think it's still the best cryptocurrency as of now. And I don't think it's about to go down yet.

Echoing what a wiseman from reddit said, this time is different. Everything is faster now. The boom and bust cycle is still happening, but it's accelerated to the point where it is indistinguishable from stability. Crashes recover almost before they're done happening.

The idea that Bitcoin could go into a years-long doldrums, such as what happened after Mt. Gox, is becoming more far-fetched every day.

These numbers, I miss when it was only 1 or two digits to worry about.  Wink

It'll be a dip, a big dip for sure, but it won't "crash".

I hope it does because if I'm going to describe my altcoins to people to it's current state, they are all on the ICU resulted from an endless bleeding because of these forks.
