I think it is not the time for the BTC to collapse because this market really has a lot of potential and on the 16th of November everyone will witness the last event of the year is setwit2x and after setwit2x people will tend to sell Bitcoin is more than buying

BTC has everything to continue growing and growing, and we should expect a correction after the November fork. But after that, we will see it reaching a new height, that is it will reach 10000$, and establish for some time there! Then I believe that there will be also a movement of the altcoins, that will make they increase in value also!

I think it might correct before the fork.

Some people might want free coins. Smarter folks will reason that those coins are not worth giving up bitcoin profits, and they'll cash in and lock their gains ahead of time.

Bitcoin bull run is nearing its end, the steam is running out. Altcoins will rally after the fallout is all said and done.

BTC price at post $7,288

I think yes, it is possible post 16th November.
Many CEOs, Developers and Engineers are giving statements that it's all increasing just because they want to knock out SegWit2X hard fork completely out of the game which is why investors are pushing the value so high and at a stretch, it's all looking extremely epic. While I still don't know where will it be before 16th, I can clarify that we may see a big crash (not necessarily, just a speculation) in Bitcoin's value after the hard fork scene gets settled and/or it could even head upwards. Who knows? But all this is getting very exciting day by day.

If you say crash meaning it means something destroyed but i dont see or think that it would happen to bitcoin during SegWit2X, bitcoin price may fall down but i think at very slight decrease probably between $6.5K to $7K value. Most of the bitcoin holders are battle tested that they have already hard experiences with bitcoin during troubled times from SegWit, China ban, JP Morgan criticism and many others in which together with bitcoin they survived how much more of this SegWit2x? In which i did not see any difference from the former.

If there is a crash in bitcoin then we have also a crash in altcoins.

For example ethereum price now 300$, in February 2017 10$         x30 times more
neo         price  now 26$                          0.12$       x216 times more
ltc           price  now 55$                          3.79$       x14  times more

And now for BTC          price now 7200$                      1000$        x7 times more

I am thinking that the altcoins will correct more than the bitcoin. I think we should see a BTC dominance of 80%.

And now the facts:

ltc is only a copy of bitcoin.
neo is a cheap chinese copy of ethereum.
And ethereum has copied many things from bitcoin.

Do you think a lexus car is more worth than a mercedes benz?

"shitcoins to the moon!" I can't listen to that any longer.

Great post!

I totally agree. Bitcoin also has real world applications and most alt coins are scams that eventually will collapse. Picking up something that can outperform bitcoin among all the scams is gambling.

Yes, great post, indeed. And yes, picking one may be gambling - which, however, does not say that there will be no coins that have the potential to outperform bitcoin.

So much money to be made in altcoins right now. Btc surely will crash shortly as some people try to get out before the fork while the price is this high. After fork it could lose 20% which is my estimate with alot of altcoins gaining 100% easily why would you not cash out now.

Well I would guess to that this is going to happen. On the other hand I am really not sure in the world of bitcoin everything is possible. Actually my guess is that everything what happend in 2014 will repeat itself
But this time with a multiplier 10 - everything goes up beyond 10k and crasehd below 1k - my prediction!

Bitcoin has still time to increase. The fork is on the 18th November...
So, maybe Bitcoin has the time to go to 10000 USD?

The exact date depends upon arrivial of some hard coded block height. I wrote down 16th, you see that varies.
Especially since the hashrate fluctuates, due to miners hopping on and of the BCH blockchain. This cannibalizes from BTC and migth slow down block recovery timings. BCH again made like 20 blocks in below just one hour.

That's literally the prayer of everyone who has hoarded altcoins in time of draught and I really hope someone answers to them. Going to be a solid 2 weeks or more till Bitcoin starts dropping with the third hard fork imminent in about a fortnight so it's still going to be a struggle for the whole altcoin market and expect only the top coins to make it through.

Yes, hard times ahead for altcoins, but I expect Bitcoin at some point to correct tanking back to 2000 or so and it may then take some more years to see the top again. Just remember how Bitcoin prices have evolved in the past...

Bitcoin is having all her attention now, soon it will be Altcoins turn to boom. But the truth is, with the way bitcoin is running higher one might be forced to withdraw all their Altcoin and place the bid on Bitcoin; I was in this dilemma before.
I had to give it a deep thought before leaving my Altcoin back .
If you are in this same dilemma as me; don't worry people, soon it will be our turn to have our gain when Altcoin starts booming with high prices.

Bitcoin will certainly correct after the fork. Depending on how contentious the fork is, the price could correct a little or a lot. I would guess it crashes down to around 5000-6000, before holding value for a while.

I hope people realize what BTC really is, is nothing more than a high cost ineffective database. I want BTC to crash because there are some real projects out there which have real value and there is Ethereum or Neo too which do something very important but to keep a database and need tons o energy in order to create 1mb new block. BTC will crash, but when ...

Real time applications and usage of bitcoin is quite high compared to altcoins. This won't let down the bitcoin in a short time period. Crash happens with bitcoin, but with the growth it has attained it'll surely retain from the fall. Several altcoins used to show good signs of growth, but in a short falls and never retains. This makes the difference between altcoins with bitcoin.

Yes that will happen surely but there is still some power in it left until the fork happens. People are making it better than the last fork because they know they will benefit from it a lot. Who doesn't want that free stuff and grab the 100% profit of all time.

So people who are afraid will be making investment slowly while bug whales who knows the reality will put loads of money into it agin and agin until fork situation arises at the steps of doors.

So may be the prices will stay stable for some 10 days more and then we will see a downfall of all the time.

I agree, the "good" alts are way under valued at the moment

Yes, thats true. But its like in basically every market you look at - time will come and capital will diversify. Its not like this is currencies competing against other currencies - its a very heterogeneous market with a lot of companies doing a lot of different things!

Even after the hard fork, bitcoin will not crash more than it has crashed on the previous forks but it will pave the way for altcoin to rise.let wait and see how  this fork goes.

I don't really think that Bitcoin will crash, but it will eventually correct (and the fall could be important - which would be healthy). And yes, altcoins will see the sun again quite soon after the fork - but not all of them. The good ones, yes.
