as we can see the bitcoin dominance is getting lower and lower and  i think on long term ethereum will end the dominance

Disagreed, Bitcoin Dominance is forever. People are just beginning to become more aware of it, more people need to understand what it is. When we talking about payments in Cryptocurrency, Bitcoin Comes first.

I dont think ethereum will dominate in the end because as you can see ethereum is going down as well. I think that bitcoin will dominate more in the future. So continue to trust bitcoin but we cant deny the fact that ethereum is still a good coin to invest with.

I do not believe that bitcoin is a bubble and he will just leave us! I'm sure that in the near future he will show himself from the best side and the whole world in him will again believe.

As we see now Bitcoin begins to increasingly dominate the other cryptocurrency and Ethereum can not get out of the pit and it's just the beginning. As the statistics show, Bitcoin has never reached its peak for sometime in the summer, so growth is still ahead.

The last week has brought new frustrations for investors: the U.S. Commission on securities (SEC) has not issued a permit for the release of new derivatives of cryptocurrency funds ETFs. Bitcoin could not hold above $8000 and moved down to the level of $7300. Economist and trader Tour Demeester in his blog expressed the opinion that bitcoin will not see its highs this year. The expert believes that the market needs more time to absorb the 36-month rally, during which the bitcoin rate rose from $250 to a peak near the $20 000 mark in December 2017.

Iv never seen BTC as dominant at all, rather there is a sense of laxity from other coins, making BTC enjoy the dominance uptop. BTC is a high quality coin, there is no doubt about that, but the fact that its gone all these years unchallenged signifies that no other alt is good enough to match its quality and there is none that seems to be doing something about it, unless a coin comes up with a better project then BTC will still remain the coin uptop

The price of bitcoin is such, only because it is bitcoin. Name, status, history, nothing more. This asset is obviously overvalued. I think he does not have a big future, so I do not invest in it.

Bitcoin is great, this is where cryptocurrency started. Maybe we have encountered so many ups and downs this year but I still believe on the technology of bitcoin, this is the future and believe it or not bitcoin will go high.
And what about bitkoin, except that he is great, that he is the first, that he is a king and so on? What are the best technical characteristics and functional qualities of it? In my opinion, none at all. While the crypto currency is developing, it is slowly degrading. He still keeps on the former popularity. If it does not improve, then its popularity will quickly pass.

Bitcoin still dominates coins at the moment, and that will continue because no one has been able to rival the value of bitcoin. The bitcoin community is growing because what is known to the community is bitcoin.

I saw how the dominance of bitcoin fell to 30%, now it has returned to the region of 50%, it is understandable, because people believe that the most reliable is bitcoin and in the event of a fall of the market they try to invest there

As long as we are in a bear market Bitcoin will dominate in general. Only once we see some serious decoupling of all the rest of the crypto market cap will we see Bitcoin dominance go down. Also, we need a huge bull run to happen where Bitcoin will surge very high in price and when that does happen then all those big Bitcoin peeps will pour money into altcoins to pump them hard to make even more Bitcoin and USD. That's their trick and that's how all those whales become bigger whales. Bitcoin dominance won't end any time soon because whales want to accumulate Bitcoin or USD. Everything else is just an excuse to make more money.

I think bitcoin dominance will be back soon, as the bitcoin price make big moves and value increases the dominancy will also grow but personally i like the fact that both bitcoin and alts are growing together at the moment.
If we look at bitcoin's dominance throughout the years, we can see that it is decreasing. In May 2013 btc has 94% of marketcap. May 2014 left it with 90.5%. A year later marketcap dominance was 88.5%. During May 2016 bitcoin had 81.8% of the total crypto market capitalization. One year ago its dominance decreased like crazy and went down to 53.6%. The current dominance is 38.5%. I think this info (I calculated it based on the info of historical snapshots made by coinmarketcap.com) makes it obvious that the dominance is only going down. And it's natural, because other projects become stronger.
This is very serious information. It clearly shows us that in fact bitcoin is very poorly developed and improved in comparison with other types of crypto currency. New coins and tokens constantly appear, which have lightning-fast transactions and practically do not have commission fees. Therefore, bitcoin is in many respects inferior to them. If the network of lightning does not correct the situation, bitcoin will soon have to give up its place as the leader of the crypto currency, and at the same time it will lose the opportunity of price dominance over other types of crypto currency. I would not say that the last is so bad. The increase in  bitcoin dominance in the crypto currency market actually means the absence of a free market for crypto currency.

Don't you think its more of an issue with the amount of coins coming out vs Bitcoin being poorly developed?  Bitcoin is not #1 because it's the fastest and best.  The mere fact it was first and the original is what makes it number 1.  I assume if 1000's more coins come out in 2019 it may lose even more market cap however it will maintain the #1 spot.

At the time of this post, Bitcoin regained it's dominance - 48%+.
It will take a while before a "Flippening" happens.

Those who have lots of Bitcoin, the whales, will definitely fight hard to ensure that Bitcoin will stay relevant and dominant.

For me, Bitcoin will stay a dominant cryptocurrency few years. Let Ethereum grow faster but BTC is the crypto that is #1. I believe that this year it will gain a lot, and its holders will earn really much.

Difinitely not, if you heard the news something special happens
someone transfer last night 48500 btc with 0.04 cents fee's
with that something will make btc great again, as i expected
someone really makes bitcoin network clog with just fake transactions
to make the people believe something is wrong with bitcoin
this is to overtake bitcoin, or maybe they can get it by low price
but as we see if bitcoin can transfer that fast with cents to pay
then goodbye banks , we can see bitcoin dominates the industry
what are youre thoughts about the news

I don't think that bitcoin dominance is ended because the bitcoin price still in the high price if we compare with other coins and bitcoin still lead the cryptocurrency market. although the price of bitcoin is down too deep, bitcoin still the king of cryptocurrency and many people still invest their money in bitcoin. but maybe ethereum have a chance to take over bitcoin place but I am not sure about that so let the time that will answer this.

I think this is already happening... I think that etherium or ripple will soon lord over bitcoin. It can be that the price of etherium will soon skyrocket. I am hoping this happens by Dec. 2018

Bitcoin dominance was around 95% in the first time.
This is because Bitcoin price is between 15-20k. There are too many coins in the market. Now people have stopped investing in Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Investments in ICOs are now increasing in the market.

I don't think so. Although bitcoin decentralization is inefficient, if it is threatened by other projects, it will fight back, expand the block, and build smart contracts on top of it. Then it will be more powerful.

it seems so, but I instead see Ethereum only close to the bitcoin price in the future. can not replace bitcoin positions as king of all altcoin. but the future no one knows how. let's see together, hopefully it does not harm to both us and us as users.
