bitcoin will be around for a long time

There are people using Bitcoin as currency, so it didn't fail. But it's not a rule and each person can use Bitcoin as it better fits their needs. Maybe it looks strange that people use a currency as investment option because we see our traditional currencies losing price each new day, being unprofitable to hold, otherwise we would have fiat as a glimpsed investment too and not only to pay for our needs.
Fiat cannot be consideredan investment because of the planned depreciation of any and all government issued fiat currencies, for example, US dollar lost 98% of value over the course of last 100 years. That is why people preserved their capital in gold and nowadays they use bitcoin to this end, because they hope (I do to!) that bitcoins will NOT devalue over years, and in fact last 10 years has been a proof that they intensively gain in value, not lose.

Maybe some people use bitcoin as currency but more people use other crypto, and I only hope for bitcoin to regain its dominating position again.

Btc is failing as a currency and succeeding as a speculative investment. A currency is a convenient and trustworthy medium of exchange and a storage medium for value.

Bitcoin was supposed to be used as a currency, not only a form of investment. However, it's been more successful as a form of investment, a "speculative asset".

Do you guys think that this can change in the long term ?

And I believe that it is on the contrary a great idea that bitcoin asset is the same as gold. What makes you think it's bad? how. Bitcoin currency can not be it, because it does not have the speed and mobility, and the price per transaction is quite expensive, but more profitable than a Bank transfer.

We can't state this thing right now on the grounds that what's to come are still splendid with bitcoin. Definitely, until further notice a great deal of dark promulgation just to ruins bitcoin notoriety yet regardless I trust later on of this thing, bitcoin will turn into a noteworthy money later on. This is only the start.

More people will start using BTC as currency if it's interesting for them. It can be achieved when more stores from different sectors start accepting BTC as payment and consequently when the demand for the digital currency increases.

I don't think so that bitcoin is failed as a currency because  as what we can see in the crypto market bitcoin is always in top and dominate among all cryptocurrency. And I think that's because a lot f people believe and support bitcoin.

Bitcoin fails as a coin. We used those Bitcoin and used Bitcoin as currency, they did not agree to the issue. Because we know that Bitcoin is a major circulating currency at the present time, and people around the world are faithful to Bitcoin and can do their best to earn good profits for their future.
So, we can say Bitcoin is like a pointer as well.

We can not say that bitcoin has failed as a currency, because its current stage of development is absolutely not the limit. It is only developing and gaining strength, and very soon we will be able to fully use it as a currency, you will see.

It's not accurate to confirm this when the future of bitcoin is very good. More and more people know Bitcoin and more and more are investing in the world of Bitcoin and inside. In addition, some countries have received bitcoin and it is considered as their currency. It's too early to say that Bitcoin fails to become a currency.

Now bitcoin is really more relevant as an investment, because at the moment it is more profitable in this form. But I am sure that he will still be able to fully realized as a currency.

Bitcoin was invented as a currency and will continue to develop in this direction. It's just that now is not the time for currency use. But that time will come, I'm sure.

Although bitcoin is the most accepted cryptocurrency, the truth is that its use as a medium of exchange has not been as expected, people use bitcoin as an investment strategy, perhaps its issue limited to 21 million is an obstacle, because it is a scarce cryptocurrency, whose primary purpose to be the high value for each bitcoin.

Bitcoin doesn'failed as a currency, because first of all, bitcoin cannot be considered as a currency. Many people don't know how bitcoin works and so it can't be use as a currency for now. Secondly, the bitcoin price is unstable and the government didn't use bitcoin as a currency neither intervened bitcoin. Bitcoin can only be a currency if more and more people will be knowledgeable about bitcoin so that it can be use as our common payment. I cannot tell if in the future bitcoin could be a currency i don't have that idealistic thinking right now.

The currency it will be when it is recognized in most countries, but for now it is good for investment. I admit its massive use as a familiar currency, but only in conditions of a stable price of bitcoin. Otherwise, it will be inconvenient to trade.

Exactly Bitcoin isn't a currency. Every effort to make Bitcoin the exclusive currency is predictable. But Bitcoin is now converted into currency.
