"Suddenly, Bitcoin to Be Officially Legal in India"

Bitcoin exchanges in India have been able to operate but they have been self-regulating using strict Know Your Customer and Anti Money Laundering measures https://veratad.com/solutions/identity-verification/ in place. These areas will now fall under government regulation.

Funny side note--a member of the parliament in India likened Bitcoin to a Ponzi scheme as recently as March of this year. Pretty wild.
"In a letter to the Finance Ministry and the Reserve Bank of India, Somaiya explained that Bitcoin is a pyramid Ponzi-type scheme. However, Somaiya was criticized for his inability to understand the structural and fundamental difference between a Ponzi scheme and Bitcoin."

Well it is great news, bitcoin will get more better and stronger if all country will adopt how to used bitcoin, and hoping that this year of 2018 more country will support bitcoin, so bitcoin price has a chancr to pump more higher.

Do you think it is good to buy bitcoin? But why? It is too expensive, $20 gives you very little less than 1% of one single bitcoin. $20 gives you 0.002 bitcoin, that is 0.2% of 1 bitcoin. If you buy inexpensive coin like Experiencecoin, $20 gives you about 2,000,000 experiencecoins. That is 0.01% of the entire Experiencecoin supply!!!! 0.002 bitcoin is 0.000000000112% of the entire bitcoin supply.

I really don't know how they legalize or i-legalize such thing as bitcoin because you are using it with your own internet and computer hardware maybe they just not supporting it before but every citizen of India can use it no matter what happens unless their government issue a criminal liabilities in using bitcoin.
I think no countries that rules as bitcoin holders as criminals. Holding bitcoin is right. Using bitcoin for transaction is prohibited in several countries . Even buy and sell using USD is illegal. some countries should use their own currency.

On June 20 yesterday, CNBC India reported that the Indian government committee has decided to support the advancement of digital currency (Bitcoin) and is now trying to create a regulator that will regulate any performance in the Bitcoin exchange in the short term.

I think legalizing bitcoin in India is a good news and I think it will affect the price of bitcoin. India has been regulating its individuals in using bitcoin and now that it is legal,  they now might use bitcoin as much as they want. But I think some businesses might try to amend it and try to regulate it so that it wouldn't interfere their profits but nevertheless,  legalizing bitcoin in India is good for all of us.

Legalization is always a good thing. People can open bitcoin related business without fear, and use it so too. Sure, even in an "illegal" situation, no one can really stop you from sending bits to other person nor stop that other person from considering these bits are "money". But the environment influences our decision and a "legal" environment is more friendly for the most people.

It is how the country handle the bitcoin. The problem is, when this "illegal" thing happened. It may or it may not affect the users of bitcoin. But as far as the government of the country highly secured and handle the bitcoin. or maybe they should implement a law about using a bitcoin properly. i think legalizing bitcoin will never be a problem.

When you post this statement, the Indian government has planned many things to dictate bitcoin. Ranging from spreading bad issues about bitcoin to the layman to high tax payments for every bitcoin user there and it's proven now, that the Indian government is greedy.

Great news! A better expansion in Asia is at hand and thank you, India for making opening your doors to investors and enthusiasts alike who, I hope, that are willing to make a difference in the industry of monetary systems and I hope as well bitcoins unite the world.
With citizens second largest maiden who has now reached over 1 billion then India's potential is huge, I'm sure that this will make bitcoin prices soon skyrocket in the near future so keep buying is a must we do.

Legalization of Bitcoin in India would be a great thing for those people who are not wealthy there. It would be a great opportunity for them to start and work for something that is worth it.

I think the news about India legalizing Bitcoin is very good, hopefully other countries will behave like India, I think India legalize Bitcoin for investment not as a means of buying and selling goods such as using fiat money in everyday life.

please neatly first his writing, because you said the news loaded July 20, 2018, while you write this thread on July 15, 2018, are you a time traveler? haha lol!

but apart from that, the news is great because in the past months many countries banned Bitcoin and now India is opening a business for Bitcoin.

this can raise the price of Bitcoin itself.

Hello. Under these circumstances, I begin to think that India is driven by intelligent people who see the chance of earning some money for the state through taxes and taxes. It means that India has some powerful and very smart people in leadership
