Yeah.. gambling will be a strong arm in bitcoin ecosystem, it was in the beginning and it will be ever... and when I mean galbling I'm saying about cards, dice, sports and everything that only BTC could give to us. At least since 2011 (as I know).

The article is very general and do not provide any numerical data that support the increase in Bitcoin gambling.

If the use of bitcoin is stagnant, how can bitcoin gambling be exploding? Are we all turning into gamblers? I do not gamble....

This article provides ZERO evidence that "Bitcoin gambling is exploding"...
It just talks about how gambling is big on the web... and BTC has some theoretical advantages over fiat.

I know for a fact that BTC poker sites are dead and comprise way <<< 1% of online poker.

http://www.pokerscout.com

As of this post PokerStars has 168,000 players online (with 90% playing sophosticated multilevel tourneys)...
While the Top 2 Bitcoin poker sites have 100-150 players total online playing simple cash games.

Instead of the crapola in this thread...
Maybe there needs to be a basic discussion about why BTC is losing 1000:1 versus fiat.

Bitcoin always has been associated with vice and I'm sure it always will be.  I'm cool with that,  and I think the gambling aspect helps keep it alive.  That's freedom.  Except I got booted off of one dice site because I'm in the United States.  Good article though it read like a pure bitcoin pump.

Being able to Gamble semi-anonymously is also a plus for most. Some well known gamblers want to keep their identity secret, so bitcoin's a good go-to.
I like this aspect too. Why would a gambler want their where abouts known to anyone, especially their wives  Cheesy
That is why so many use it and you don't have to leave the comfort of your home to do it either. So there are two big pluses right there!

All owners of bitcoins casinos don't pay taxes so long people don't know they own Bitcoin casinos. With that knowing they all start massive casinos around the web hoping they can become millionaires without people asking how they ever earned that much money.

Casinos who are pay there licenses and taxes don't like Bitcoin casinos at all and what thinking about governments. So hide your ass really good if you own an casino once they come get there taxes.

Thats not very surprising as it is probably one of the easiest ways to do it. Its anonymous and decentralized. Giving the best way to gamble.

It's true. Just recently I went to the project development forum to go see the lovely projects everyone's working on to grow and support Bitcoin, and a user made a post about how they found an outlet for people to make their own personal gambling/dice sites as much as they please. It really is becoming an epidemic to me as gambling is quite addictive and we want to make this currency look fresh, humble, safe, and respectable but then we have things like this happening.

Again, I'm not trying to insult gambling.

The poker scene needs to be regulated or we will continue to see fishy RNG platforms that get people to play any two cards rather than nit and tag.
Sports needs a bit of work on the lines, can get better odds often at the old stand by outside bitcoin on the web like pinnaclesports.
Casino is as usual still a rigged game and do not see any ways to make that more legit.

If a poker site opened today with a audit of their platform coming up clean it would go along way for developing the poker scene.
Till then you have the small players and gamblers willing to risk chances of being cheated.

I wish the Bitcoin sportsbooks offered more attractive bonuses to new players. And the odds could be better unfortunately the fiat bookies have better odds. But I like the anonymity of Bitcoin and the lack for account verification is very convenient plus I don't want my bank to know I have been gambling all week long Cool If only the frickin odds were better oh well.

Gambling has been playing an important part in having Bitcoins run smoothly growing at a steady pace, and if this is exploding, I guess we are sure to see some price hikes for BTC too...
Gambling has never been easier, but BTC gave everybody a room to just hide their identities and gamble freely anytime anywhere, which is why this was going to happen, and this is just the beginning...

For them its new, I knew that will happen. But still its not the big as it can be. Bitcoin gambling is still young but for few year we will see completely different picture. I just can say couple words about poker, there is no poker tournament in dollars or euros.. that can come close to prizes that bitcoin sites offer. For couple dollars you play for very big prizes. Some people see that only now, but there is time. I expect even bigger explosion.

Aaand gambling gets banned in some countries because of this article.

Gambling is exploding. There's no doubt about it. The only problem is the availability of bitcoin. If it was easier to purchase, bitcoin gambling would truly take off and bump the bitcoin price up.

Not really a surprise is it now ? Just ask yourself what do real gamblers want and then look at what bitcoin is offering to them..
The only thing i think that needs more progress is bitcoin availability , easier and faster purchases to be more precise. After that there will
probably be a much bigger boom in bitcoin gambling than it is currently. The future is bright.
The problem that I do see as of now is the confirmation times to get the bitcoin to the casino wallets so the gamblers can use those funds. This only started happening in the last 14 days that I have noticed.
