it is your right as a husband. by giving it to your wife, of course you teach your wife about bitcoin, so that bitcoin will be increasingly known. many have previously given dowry in the form of bitcoin at the time of their marriage, and of course it will be a good investment to support the family's economy in the future. as long as we still have other income, it is hoped that in the long run it will provide good benefits for the family

I am very amused by your thoughts about bitcoins it is not an exception thought but if you give bitcoins to your wife you should know before you get married if your wife knows about bitcoins then she will understand what you gifted her.

It is never too late to tell his wife about Bitcoin.  Since they will be together, there are lots of time coaching his wife about Bitcoin.  So the issue of the wife not knowing about Bitcoin isn't an issue at all since  I am sure @OP have figured it out if ever his wife is not knowledgeable about Bitcoin.

I don't know what your culture is, but where I'm from, you don't need to give gifts as money, or any other type of asset or liability,  so in my case it would have more value for her another type of gift.

When two people get married they share everything, so as I said, perhaps in your culture it is important to give money/bitcoin to your wife, in my case anything else would make her happy, that is, like giving her something that is supposed to already belong to her.

I highly agree.  The property of each person is owned by two.  So basically the Bitcoin the husband has is also the property of the wife.

1. Remember that bitcoin is banned in OP's country. Of course, if his wife wants to know more, she has to learn, but if she's not interested then there's not much to do.

2. In france we have what we call a marriage contract. It protects the spouse/husband in the event of bankruptcy, or protects one of the spouses if the other turns out to be greedy. It seems that there are only dreamers here on this thread, so much the better, as long as you don't wake up in the middle of a nightmare  Embarrassed

If you think your wife will enjoy bitcoin you should gift here some to make her a responsible and independent person. However, it's important to ensure that the wife is knowledgeable about Bitcoin and its management before gifting it.

In any case, you have several good reasons not to give btc to your wife:

In what kind of Stone Age mindset do you live that those reasons seem acceptable to you…

Is there any point in particular that strikes you as being from the Stone Age or are all points unacceptable to you? You can specify maybe ?

Not to be advanced then its true that there's no such or no one does know on what the future holds but if you've been thinking about separation or getting divorced then its better not to become married at all. Love does have no boundaries on which if you do love a certain person then loyalty and pouring all the love that you do have to him/her would be always that common act. Be dubtious or having that advanced thinking will really be putting you on anxiety and being worried for the rest of your life which i could consider to be a toxic kind of assumptions.

Everyone thinks what they want. For example, you know you're going to die one day, but that's not why you live in anguish. When you make a will, it's not because you're going to die, but because you're making sure that everything goes smoothly (especially if your heirs don't get along).

When you buy bitcoins, you also know that the price may fall or that you may be hacked, but you're not going to spend your life stressing either.

When you drive a car, you can also die in an accident, but you don't think about it every time either.

When you start a business, it's to make it work. However, it is essential to go see an accountant so that, if it does not work, you are not also forced to sell your personal house to pay off the debts.

You marry for love, but over time everyone changes and sometimes you get divorced. Some people even end up hating each other and doing the worst things to each other. It's better to think about it now, rather than be ruined afterwards, thinking "Gee, I never imagined it could end like this".

And there's no point in saying it only happens to other people and I'm going to live happily ever after with my wife. Nobody knows what can happen.

Although I still studied, I invested a small amount in Bitcoin. I will get married if I get a good job. Many people give many things to their wives as wedding gifts, I have a different plan. I am planning to gift bitcoin to my wife on her wedding day. Bitcoin is still illegal in my country so I invested with caution. On my wedding day I want to gift half of my investment to my wife.
Should I gift bitcoin to my wife? I want your advice

Oh dear, I think I missed the presents ...

In any case, you have several good reasons not to give btc to your wife:

1. The first reason is that if your future wife doesn't know bitcoin, this gift won't mean anything to her.
2. If btc is banned in your country, keep your secret to yourself. You'd also be exposing her unnecessarily to possible sanctions.
3. If there's a problem with the private keys, you'll blame her. Keep your keys to yourself.
4. Although I wish you a long and happy life with your wife, we don't know what it has in store for us. In the event of divorce/separation, illegal secrets only bring problems.
5. Give her a real personalized gift, she'll be touched by the fact that you care about what she loves. If she loves flowers, then cover her with them.
6. Gifts are nothing if actions don't follow. Make her day-to-day life happy and take an active part in household chores and child-rearing.

I wish you every happiness
Gifts arent really necessary when you do get married, it do just turns out that it do become that traditional. Its true that gifting some bitcoin isnt that bad but of course you would really be needing some consideration
on looking whether your wife to be is really that aware about it because it wont really be appreciated if she doesnt have any idea at all on what she had received. Should I gift bitcoin to my wife? I want your advice
Not a bad idea  but rather than  giving bitcoin  to your wife, why not take  your time to teach her about it and let her get the proper knowledge  about it and if she finally picks up interest in it, then you can practically  gift her some coon but then but the best gift for her is the knowledge of she doesn't have it yet before the coins.

I think, gifting bitcoins to your wife is not very good, unless your wife is a trader or interested in it. Since you said bitcoin is illegal, I'm not sure your wife would be interested in that, but if she likes it, then that's probably good enough.
No one is actually  not going to be interested  in money especially  when it is free and there might be tendencies that if you don't get your wife the necessary grounding, then she might be basically  interested in just wa ting to sell to fiat and not the other benefits attached to it.

Since you are still a student, I wish your plan to be fulfilled in the future. The initiative you have taken is essentially one that no one to my knowledge has taken up to date. It is really interesting as you will gift Bitcoin to your wife during your marriage. You invest in Bitcoin from now on and this Bitcoin will come in handy when you get married in the future. But Bitcoin is illegal where you live so you have to be careful. It would be better if you give your wife half of what you invest. But before giving your wife bitcoins and gift, you must educate her about common sense. I would like to give you this advice, definitely educate your wife about cryptocurrency before giving it to bitcoin.

It is best to decide by you what gift to give your wife instead of letting someone else tell you. There is no obligation to give only Bitcoin as a gift to your wife . I think since a person is given a gift to make her happy, in this case if your wife doesn't know much about Bitcoin, she won't be happy at all with this gift, but if you give her something she likes as a gift, in this case, girls are more like jewelry.  If you prefer, you can also gift her gold. And tolding you to hold the bitcoin for your future life.

Acctially i think you shouldn’t gift Bitcoin to your wife on wedding. Because gift should be visible which can be show for public. Your wife will want to show her friend's and family. But it is very difficult to show. On the other hand Bitcoin is illegal in your country. So i think another gift is better for your wife.

But i salute for your mentality. You want to give half of your bitcoin fund as gift to your wife it it great. I know wife life partner and half of husband's life. So you want to give her half of your assets. It is proper utilised. But my advice give another gift to your wife in wedding which your wife can show her friends and family members.

You missed the point that bitcoin is not legal in his country, as far as he said. So it may not be bragging, but going public with bitcoin in a banned country is also something to avoid if he doesn't want to get in trouble after the wedding is over. As for me, when investing in bitcoin, we value privacy, so there is no reason to brag in such public places, especially as it would involve legal issues. I really don't think it's a good idea. But in the end, the decision is still his.
In a country with Bitcoin prohibition, you can have legal troubles if you buy and sell your coin and government agencies, authorities know about that. You will not be any issue if you do it privately like on non KYC exchanges and store your coins in your non custodial wallets.

So just considering about how you buy and sell your coins. If the entry is privately, you can safely store your coins without engagement from government, without legal issue with them.

Buying coins with cash on non KYC exchanges https://kycnot.me/?cash=on

When you finish your coin buying, you can send it to your wife's non custodial wallet.

She will definitely gonna appreciate it as a gift, if only the next day Bitcoin price grows Smiley But if she will see a price reduction during a good period of time, she might really get disappointed. OP, also think how you will look in father-in-law and mother-in-law eyes, and other guests. If you gonna give your present on public, are you sure everyone gonna understand your gift? If you do it privately, she will tell her parents about that gift anyway. If they are not tech guys, and she is not a tactical person, you will end with a guy who gave a virtual gift... I would better think of a more romantic gift, but later just give half of private key to her.
I don't know why OP wants to gift his wife BTC as a wedding gift because if you ask me with the way his is sounding am pretty sure his wife doesn't know or understand what is bitcoin and its simple logic that people.don't tend to cherish what they have no knowledge about so if I were you I probably just get her a simple and appreciable gift that she would cherish and women always love flashy and material things so getting her some designer stuffs will save the stress of worrying her about bitcoin.

Even if she knew about bitcoin, I don't think it would be a meaningful wedding gift. After all, bitcoin is just money, not something that is too scarce, hard to earn, or will make a difference for her on the big day of her life. OP shouldn't mess things up but look for meaningful gifts that match his wife's taste. After you two get married, if you trust your wife enough, you can give her all of your bitcoins for her to hold. No need to brag on your wedding day when many people won't even know what bitcoin is.
You have a point, as it is still money, or probably his wife will also sell it off because they needed it. That is why it is better to gift some sort of tangible one, but again, it is his choice. Also,  by giving all his bitcoin to his wife, that is good, mostly if it is in a trezor wallet, and just explain to her that it is very valuable, and because you trust her, you are going to give it all to her, and she should take care of it. Though it is not kind of bragging, anyone in the wedding should hear the wordbitcoin. It may or may not be appreciated by those, but still, for sure, they'll get curious about it.

It's just that, for the wedding day, it might be better if you sell some of the bitcoins you've invested in something that looks physical, or invest in real estate and give it to your wife. that way, your wife can show off something to her family that it is the result of your gift. well, i think it's more romantic. however, it all depends on you because she is your wife.

Should I gift bitcoin to my wife? I want your advice
there are several question that you need to answer before we give a good advice such

1. Do your wife have knowledge about Bitcoin?

2. Do your wife ready about that Illegal action that you may both come to enter?

3. Are you ready going to jail and be blame by your wife because of this gift giving bitcoin you plan?

I am asking this because I don't want to ruin your marriage life just because of Bitcoin as in the end?
bitcoin will be the reason why there is a family that both go to jail.

we are not against your plan as bitcoin support and investors we love what you wanted to give her
but the problem is the restriction of your country in which if you are a true law abiding citizen ten you must consider all these views.
