I am planning to gift bitcoin to my wife on her wedding day.

Funny how you said her wedding on your wedding. Looks like someone is not happy with her.  Cheesy
Lolz.. And that's the very statement that captured my eye too, because since O.P intends to marry her, it's supposed to be "on our wedding day" and not "on her wedding day", which I thought you will correct O.P but you didn't.

However, giving Bitcoin as a gift to your wife on your wedding day is not a bad thing, but don't be surprised if on that day she seems not to appreciate your gift due to the fact that she has no knowledge what it's Bitcoin all about, because on a special day such as "wedding day or Birthday", it's always wise to buy a gift that had been confirmed that the next person loves the most, which may differs from one individual to the other. Moreover, i'm not here to discourage you, but will love to see you come back here to tell us in few months time from now how your wedding gift went about. So wishing you good luck.

Although I still studied, I invested a small amount in Bitcoin. I will get married if I get a good job. Many people give many things to their wives as wedding gifts, I have a different plan. I am planning to gift bitcoin to my wife on her wedding day. Bitcoin is still illegal in my country so I invested with caution. On my wedding day I want to gift half of my investment to my wife.
Should I gift bitcoin to my wife? I want your advice
Bitcoin is probably one of the top prominent project in the crypto space. Gifting your wife bitcoin on wedding day is one of the amazing gift but there are countless questions surrounding the idea.
Does your wife know about cryptocurrency?
Does she have an idea about bitcoin?
Does she know how to trade and store cryptos?
Does she has a wallet?
These are the basic questions that needs to be set in place before you triggered such a decision.

Well after reading your post I didn't see anything bad about gifting your Bitcoin investment to your wife because you guys are now married even if Bitcoin is illegal in your country and your wife is aware that you are into Bitcoin investment she will not report you to the government, I will only advice you to always lecture your wife about Bitcoin investment so she will not misplace or misuse it because it requires patient and hope while investing, am women today are now Bitcoin investors despite the challenges the investors are facing today.

Hey mate it is very romantic to do so. I think she would like it if you do so but you said in your country bitcoin is illegal would it not be ok you do it in a secret with your wife so that people would not know or possibly you opt for another preferable gift for her as not to make the mistake of it being  publicly known.

Nevertheless, it is a good gift but I would advise you teach her more about it if she has no clues on how bitcoin works so she does not make the mistake of losing it to scammers or hackers.

If she understands Bitcoin as a woman, why not? However, be careful not to give her a gift that she doesn't know the purpose of. Instead of making her happy with your sacrifices thus far, she might end up feeling confused about how to use what you've given.

If Bitcoin truly holds value for you, you can give it to her with the hope that your partner will be intrigued by one of the most precious items you possess. That might explain how Bitcoin works on its own merits, fueled by curiosity. That's a good thing.

You want to give Bitcoin as gift that must be a special gift for your spouse. But do you know if your wife has any idea about Bitcoin or not? If yes then of course you can gift her bitcoins. And if not, she might react negatively to your gift. If your wife has any experience using bitcoins she may be most happy. I have never heard such type of gift in the wedding. But I would be interested to know how she reacts after your gift.

If Bitcoin is illegal in your country, it may not be wise to openly give it to your wife or involve her in your Bitcoin holdings. Sharing this information with others, including family and friends, could potentially lead to legal trouble or unwanted scrutiny. Instead, if your intention is to make sure your wife has access to your bitcoins in the event of any unfortunate events, you can explore other ways to secure and transmit them. reach this information without explicitly donating bitcoins. This may involve sharing instructions on how to access and manage Bitcoin, such as providing the required password, recovery root phrase, or other authentication methods. However, you should still exercise caution and ensure that your actions comply with the laws and regulations of your country.

I never knew you have to give a gift to your wife during or after the wedding. I wish I knew before now, I would have given my wife something good. But the best kind of gifts to give to anyone is the things they need or cherish so much. If your wife is knowledgeable about bitcoin and has been aspiring to have it, a Bitcoin will gift will be okay. But if she does not know about bitcoin, she might not cherish the gift. If you have decided to give her bitcoin maybe to assist her in investing in the sector, you need to introduce her to the coin and make her understand the worth and prospect of owning bitcoin.

You also said that bitcoin is illegal in your country which means you want to give your wife an illegal gift. I suggest you give your wife another gift that you feel she will cherish. We should obey the laws of our land so if the law says owning bitcoin is illegal, ensure you encourage your family member to abide by the law. Happy marriage life in advance.

No need to think about or plan to gift bitcoins to your wife at your wedding, think about the cost of your wedding from now on by investing in bitcoin which I think is much better. And do it after you get a job and use a small part of your salary to buy bitcoins, or you can do DCA until you find your soul mate and plan to get married.
to be honest, my wedding expenses used the profits from bitcoin, and at that time I had the goal of collecting bitcoins from a small portion of my salary to buy bitcoins and for wedding expenses, and what you should know is that the capital to celebrate a wedding is not a small thing, so you have to think about it, don't think about or plan bitcoin gifts for your wife at the wedding.
and after I use bitcoin to get married, I have to keep investing and keep going because after marriage there will be a lot of costs that must be incurred, needs, household equipment, pregnancy and also giving birth. So, think about all this carefully and keep investing in bitcoins as it can also be used as a reserve fund when you really need it.
so in my opinion, don't think too much about what you are going to plan, because your wife will still enjoy the benefits of bitcoin for the long term, so you use or invest bitcoin for the long term. Many nice gifts for your wife and you can buy them from bitcoin profit. And make bitcoin for your life journey and for your family's future.

You must consider your spouse's taste and preferences when choosing a gift. If your wife is unfamiliar with Bitcoin or has no interest in crypto, it may not be the most suitable gift for her on your wedding day. Tangible and thoughtful gifts that match your wife's taste and show your love and commitment can mean more on such a special occasion. It could be a piece of jewelry, a handwritten letter, a personalized item, or an experience you both can enjoy together. Remember, it's important to understand your partner's wishes and choose a gift that aligns with their preferences and values. If you still want to introduce your wife to Bitcoin later on, you can do so after the wedding and take the time to educate her about it, making sure she's comfortable and enjoys exploring the world. electronic money.

Does your prospective partner understand bitcoin so that when you give it on the wedding day he will understand the value of the bitcoin that is given? If you still don't understand, then this will be very difficult for your wife, especially in your country where it is illegal, of course your wife is too public with bitcoin investments, so this will be a new problem, as much as possible, you and your wife must be as private as possible for this if you want to do it.

I read an article about this and it exists but bitcoin is legal there so it won't be a problem while the wife who was given bitcoin already knows and understands how to properly store these assets.
Maybe you can reconsider with other assets. I'm sure your future wife will be happy with any gift from you.

Well, you giving your wife something illegal is like putting your wife at risk of the law. I don't doubt how much you love your partner, but after all you're new to her family you have yet to explore how they'll react to this plan including knowing that you're a bitcoin fan.
I wouldn't rush it if I were you, I think there's a better time for this plan.

I understand many have said many ways. If I give my wife some idea about Bitcoin history first. I will warn about it as it is illegal in our country. I will explain him well. I will make a deal with my wife, when I sell bitcoins, I will give half to my wife.

Can. Just give it to her because Bitcoin is your gift to your wife in my neighborhood tradition that the gift can also be yours as the head of the household.

My question is whether the gift is for showing off or only you and your wife know.
If you want it to be known by people that your gift is different from other people, then it can lead to negative considering that Bitcoin in your country is still illegal. I mean, don't let your good intentions turn into problems for you down the road.

Why would you gift your beloved a article that is illegal in your country? Maybe in the future married life you can teach her about it, but why at the start?

Consider she is not interested in bitcoin, but gold, what will you do then? Leave your wife or bitcoin? Tough question to answer if you ask me. Roll Eyes

While there are wives who are supportive of their husband's investments, you might want to consider their stance before tying the knot.

My honest advice is to keep collecting bitcoin like the rest of your country members are doing discreetly and wait for the country's stance to change. Only then there is a chance that your upcoming spouse might be willing to accept it.

I don't know if I were your wife it'll be like just random to give your wife on your special day something they don't understand if she doesn't have idea to Bitcoin. Investing in Bitcoin is actually a good move, but just think something as a gift where your wife will have a memorable day by just receiving it. Because for sure you'll still have to educate her about Bitcoin once you gifted her if she doesn't have the knowledge. It doesn't need to be material thing maybe things that are useful for her to use. There's always a right time to open the bitcoin in other special days.

I mean you getting married and all of your investment will be one with the investments of your wife so I guess no need to give it to him since she owns it as well already or maybe you could just teach him about Bitcoin so that he has the idea that you already own Bitcoin and it's her Bitcoin as well.

It was a great wedding gift I think you could send your Bitcoin to your friends or family wedding I think, or just get them a whole wallet since most of them probably doesnt know Bitcoin or doesnt have a Bitcoin wallet. You could give them the whole wallet and with that, they might get interested in Bitcoin and probably become an investor in the future because of your gift also it would help them have a good mindset on investment and saving.

Also, you might get in trouble since you mention Bitcoin is not legal in your country, in my opinion, you shouldn't teach someone to invest in Bitcoin or buy Bitcoin if it wasn't in first play legal your just putting them in trouble in the long run.

You may want to impress your wife but if she doesn't know how to trade BTC to fiat, she may not appreciate the gift. Unless you already have taught her about it so yep she will like it.

In my experience, girls prefer the effort even if it's a small thing so know what they like. My best advice, buy something that will make her look good, something shiny like earrings and a necklace.  It's what they talk about when they gather with their friends and not BTC.

No, I don't think you should give your future wife bitcoins on your wedding day. You have said that bitcoin is not an illegal asset in your country, so you will definitely be in trouble if you force yourself to give bitcoin for him openly. You have to take a different approach, of course you can give your wife bitcoins privately without being known by many people.

But to be honest, I don't know what's your point in giving him bitcoin?

I don’t know why this kind of topic keep popping. There’s a lot of thread that same like this about buying Bitcoin or etc. while Bitcoin is illegal to your country.

Seriously, you are giving your wife a gift that is illegal? You are putting her life at especially if she doesn’t know that she is committing a crime by accepting your gift. Just gave her a good life and that will make here happy for the rest of your life. Don’t make her life complicated and don’t involve her on your sneaky investment. I will support you on gifting Bitcoin if it’s legal. Think logically.
