This bitcoin gold fiesco is taking way too long
This lack of information and communication makes me think that Bitcoin gold is gonna fail before it even has a chance
Theres also the pre-mine
Lets see where its ends up , Believe its gonna be released soon
It will be really sad if the b2x releases before this  that might actually be even worse .
Anyways 7400 usd price of bitcoin wew Grin Grin Grin

I followed the tutorial on Youtube, am mining with EBWF cuda miner 0.3.4b on pool.mining.sg , I just copied the configuration file example, removed the address there with a real BTC address and the miner started working correctly ? Now is this some sort of scam that I have fallen into or it is real ? Also how will we get paid from this mining pool cause it shows no details ?

Edit: Turned back to Winminer, nothing clear here as of yet for me.

Its not live yet as far as i know.
Nobody clearly explains anything even in these youtube videos and they never show or demonstrate AMD and NVIDIA mining process as its normally very different.

Dont stress about it.

There are 2 pools which currently offer this coin to be mined BUT its on a test network not live network.

Its just practicing.

For now i am using WinMiner also and having fun in the sun here in Johannesburg.

Until we hear more.

BITCOIN GOLD create another opportunity for miners who has seeing bitcoin mining a very difficult task and unprofitable. I have read many articles on how to mining bitcoin gold in days to come with your graphics processing unit and it seemed easy to me compared  to mining some other coin. We have to take advantage of the opportunity created by this splitting in other to convert our unused tools to bitcoin gold mining.

Hey guys,

just read a post about the new hardfork. I heard that the mining difficulty for Bitcoin Gold will be again "easy". Is that true? Can I use the cards I use for ethereum mining, for Bitcoin Gold?

Thank you in advance!

I would wait and see the outcome of November.  It can either make or break the coin and there is too much that is unknown right now. Is there a pre-mine, is there going to be a lot of miners, a lot of traders, or nothing at all. They are expecting people to trade a $5500 coin for something that is pretty unknown in value and every other aspect.
Mining should start within 1h allegedly https://bitcoingold.org/day-1-testnet/
There is a 100k premine, and about 200 people mine on testnet at https://btg.suprnova.cc/index.php?page=login

Id like to know the earnings mining it with gpu. Who has some info?
Its equihash this too like bitcoinz?

I think bitcoinz is the best option, a true decentralized coin.

Is bitcoinz  a coin or a token?

bitcoin gold sounds like it's basically a generic coin with the bitcoin name on it.

Correct me if I am wrong but Still no details about Bitcoin gold mining , kinda disappointed
Well just 1 day till 1st nov , Just have to wait and see
In my opinion this coin had some potential but these delays and lack of communication/announcements might just kill the coin Sad

In fact, Bitcoin Gold will not differ much from the usual bitcoin. The main difference is to give the opportunity to dig up coins to miners who use video cards as opposed to large pools built on ASICs. That's why another name for "gold" is Bitcoin GPU.

Honestly if their main selling feature is that it is 'asic proof' then really it needs to do more.

You want asic proof? Try vertcoin, pretty much any equihash coin like zcash, even ethereum which will likely go POS next year before asics become a problem.

I'm really not sure of the long game for bitcoin gold. My guess is that their main hope is that the 'free' bitcoin gold people got from having regular bitcoin is to try and get people hyped for it and use it, even though there is already bitcoin cash and a bunch of other altcoins that are asic resistant. Also they are probably hoping the name 'bitcoin' will help keep it relevant.

But hey, I could be wrong, we'll see.

If there is no wallet and we cant see actual replay protection being implemented then i think its best just to watch the show from a distance.
