For anyone curious I'm averaging about 12 sol/s more with the dstm over the EWBF with my lil 1050 GTX.
That's a pretty big increase.

That crypto-news counter appears to be counting the BTC block number, not BTG. You can even see it in their source code API call.

I hope that pools will prioritize already connected miners, maybe even those which were connected longer than, say, 30min.
After all, these machines basically worked to mine those 8K blocks for the developers.
In my opinion, it would be reasonable, at least in the first few hours.
I don't think that they used their own machines, probably piggybacked on the early birds.

They just announced "Public mining will be available at block height 499407", so what's current block? I feel like BTG dev teams are not professional.

Thanks, Man, I'm watching that now , i will say this in all honestly, i haven't call it one big scam yet because there is to many exchanges and server/pools involved that want to see it happen and make it work an it just might happen and there appears to be a lot of hard of work that went into this just so mining can be returned back to the People it belongs to but some of the stuff they have done so far is a little questionable but nothing really really bad yet , time will tell ...
I think it's worth the gamble
So much interest currently it seems to big to fail too quickly
