bitcoin opened a new system for payment, a new way or method to do transaction with more privacy and without the intervention of any third party players.
I don't think that it is true that bitcoin doesn't have a role in real world because bitcoin is serving as an option for mode of payments where people can choose bitcoin over fiat to send money which is faster and also convenient because it is still has a lower rate of fee compare to other mode of payments in terms of huge transactions.
It is not true because bitcoin has a big role in our world. For example, it can help in our financial needs and can help us to earn money. But not everyone are using bitcoin so they can't really know how important it is. If you don't believe that bitcoin has its own role in our real world, that your choice.
Bitcoin is not all about helping ourselves in earning money to spend in our life and also in our needs, bitcoins has a big role on transfering money fast and efficient and also it is anonymous! and also it has a very low fees, i know it has a high fees right now and also a lot of time to get confirm but still it is cheap from other things on transfering money online and very fast. Now bitcoin is getting a big role in our selves because it has a very high value that could also make you rich. Bitcoin is created to help us that is the role of bitcoin
I entirely disagree with your comment. It means alot in the real world. Even most of the forum member will also disagree with your comment. It has real value & its value is increasing at nice pace. I am using btc since 1+ year & I am happy I don't need to pay high fees as compare to bank charges & apart from this btc is giving me financial freedom too, for me it has a real role/value.
This speculation is a bit questionable because transactions of some businesses rely on Bitcoins, so, it's not safe to assume that it doesn't have a role to play.
I think this is an initial idea of someone who just saw crypto and doesn't really understand the impact i makes for the people who uses it. Crypto actually is the same as conventional currency only that the values are very flexible and unregulated by any third party.
The advantages of cryptocurrency leading by bitcoin can't be diminished by your headline as more people are getting involved in it, there are many many places where bitcoin is acceptable as payments. An it is increasing day by day. Real world's entrepreneurs and many industries are now focusing on blockchain technology to adapt to current trend of economy of the world. And bitcoin's rising in cryptocurrency has led (inspired) those people to get involved.
In my own opinion thing such thing is not true. In fact the company of bitcoins plays a big role in the society which they make the society more even better;

In my opinion, this is a misconception about bitcoin. Currently with the application of blockchain, bitcoin and other altcoin are holding in their many advantages such as anonymity, high security, faster transaction. There are currently a lot of companies offering practical applications of blockchain technology and bitcoin in their forms and it has produced very positive results. they help every people in this world to become successful and reach their dreams no matter how hard it is.

The thread should be renamed "Bitcoin has no role in my world." It's not for everyone of course. Not everyone will think of a way to utilize it to their benefit. Myself, I have no use for band saws or underwater welding gear. It doesn't mean they don't have any use.
Yes, btc leaves a digital ledger trail, but IMO that is miles ahead of the old traditional banking system that leaves both a digital trail AND paper trail linked to your home, social security number and everything else.

You can spend bitcoin at many places. You just have to look. How well have you actually looked? Not all places take bitcoin directly so look out for payment processors in which accept bitcoin as a payment option. I use bitcoin to buy things all the time.
I agree with you. Bitcoin is accepted to many places but not ALL places. One of the things that you might enjoy is finding an online seller that's accepting bitcoin as payment. Bitcoin is accepted to a lot of places because people that has been transacting online are probably reading things on the Internet and find out that people using bitcoin is growing.

It simply does not have a physical appearance for it to exist on the real world. On the other hand, our world is not just about the real world now. It is about the world that we have created on the Internet as well and sometimes people are more interested about it instead of the real world.
It's too hard to spend bitcoin or any digital currency. If I want to spend my VISA card money, I will go wherever I want and buy anything I want. To spend bitcoin I need to use internet, some special services or apps... This procces is too hard now to replace real money.
Like the money we use daily, Bitcoin has value because we believe it has value. Bitcoin will reshape the way our world works. It's not gonna be easy, it's going to be a slow integration into our society but it's going to happen, it's gotta happen just because it makes our lives much better, specially when it comes about payments. Who wants banks when you know there are Crypto?
You are wrong, bitcoin actually has a very real role in the world, but who feel it is a person who uses bitcoin. I feel for myself that bitcoin has a real role in the world, I really enjoy the results of bitcoin trading, and this is enough to meet my needs and family.
We can't say it has no role,Bitcoin is helpful for many people to make money which is a big role in my opinion.But currently we can't use bitcoin as a payment because of its transaction fees but I hope the problem will be solved in the coming days so the transactions will happen faster than ever so it is good to but the bitcoins when it available for cheaper price.

When you say "roles in real world," what does it actually mean? Do you mean it like something tangible, something that can be felt, touch or actually hold? If you define that phrase as such then you are correct, bitcoin doesn't have any role in the real world, but that's because its an online currency, something that exists only in the virtual world. However, if we are talking about "roles" as "functions or a part that it plays" then bitcoin has it. After all, it is now commonly used in money transactions such as buying, selling and trading. It can actually be exchange for a fiat and help the users to pay for their basic needs and wants in the real world.
