I guess bitcoin will become more and more popular. It will also enter the traditional financial markets like the futures in CBOE and CME. At the same time, maybe more and more regulation may come.
When it comes to popularity, Bitcoin is already have it. And you're right, it will be more popular this and I think its value will get higher too. Furthermore, I believe that Bitcoin will be legalized to other countries. According to me i see a huge rise in the bitcoin growth.

For me, no one can predict the bitcoin in 2018 but we can all hope that 2018 will be the best year for all the investors and the users of bitcoin. Although the start of 2018 is quite disappointing because the price of bitcoin fell a little, I hope this coming months, the bitcoin will increase very high. I also hope that there are many investors to come this 2018.

Bitcoin should still have room for growth in 2018, and Bitcoin will actually be known by more people in 2017, helping to make Bitcoin more widely known.

As far as the trend of 2017 is concerned, I think Bitcoin will grow in 2018 as more and more countries are now ready to accept it.
Well if we don't get some big hubs for Lighting Network around bitcoin itself, for me personally I think that many bussinesses will try to put in altcoins as payment that they accept one of these being bitpay which is currently looking to implement altcoins.The other is an altcoin becomes the standard coin for retail, this in my mind would be Dash, instant tx, and enough ways to be anonymous.
For me I can see a great increase in bitcoins growth next year, pertaining the trends of bitcoin growth its pum and dump.The prices are already increasing daily and Bitcoin is growing day by day so we can predict that coming year will offer more growth to Bitcoin.
