Yeah the story of bitcoin journey since 2009 to 2017 is really interesting because at one side bitcoin was useless ( in very starting when it comes in existence ) and opposite of this people shows Thier trust with bitcoin and also they take risk and inevsted in bitcoin and they increased the demand of bitcoin .
Well now day by day increasing price is forcings people to buy bitcoin for future profit .
Here personally i myself is thinking that in year 2018 price will increase by 2 to 3 times than what is it today and also about all the industries who are accepting payments in online will accept Bitcoin as an option .

Bitcoin in 2018 i think it will be popular and many people will talk about bitcoin and how they gonna earn money from here. Bitcoin now is so far so good. And the price of bitcoin now is so high from the past. But we don’t have and idea how’s bitcoin work for another 10 years and we don’t know how and when it will end.

I think BTC has hit a wall, and it wouldn’t surprise me if we stay stagnant for the next several months or more. Seems thee has been a domino effect, bitcoins recent dip came along at a time when the High fees and slow transfers really came to light, people started realizing their money was going to bring better returns in the alt market.

I feel like recently we discussed topic "Bitcoin in 2017"

and here it is 2018. If this year was the year of bitcoin's and crypt currencies' blossom. The next year is going to be the year of regulation. Crypto currencies are not cheap already and the government can't ignore it anymore. We will see different kinds of forbidding, regulating and taxation.

The price of a Bitcoin is steadily going to increase from here on out with every now and then dipping in price in order to go up. It may seem like a lot of people now about Bitcoin but truthfully not really. So it's value is at its lowest. Like the way a baseball card is. So many are made before production (mining) stops and then it becomes rare which increases its value. That's why I believe the Bitcoin will be. $25k-$100k in 10 years.

Of all the predictions and all opinions above, I believe that bitcoin prices will reach to levels that were never in prediction before.
because Bitcoin is a "People's Currency" that can not be disturbed by anyone, and does not involve third parties such as Banking which always benefit from every transaction that occurs.

I think so long as the lightning network is successfully implemented within 2018, we'll see huge gains in BTC value, possibly reaching up to $80k.

If there is no near final LN, or if it gets banned in some major countries, then BTC will either stagnate, or improve slightly, possibly reaching $25-30k by end of 2018.

Yes may be right. But not enough high or not enough low level price, bitcoin price will aquare a average level in 2018. Average price level is stable and trusted.

Nobody has any idea of the evolution of the price of bitcoin. This is a very volatile and chaotic market, and a very disruptive technology.My previous prediction for 2018 was $10k (yes, I know, I was wrong, it is already $19k today, so you can see by yourself the poor quality of my predictions).So I will bet on $20–30k during the first quarter. Then $50k at the end of the year.Of course, I am not an expert and the future is very fuzzy and blurry.

I hope to see bitcoin in 2018 that it can be used for any merchants, like we can pay bitcoin for our vacation trips like travelling different countries, and pay for hotels and restaurants with our bitcoins. Travelling a cashless fiat would be awesome if so many merchants will participate in doing business with bitcoin payments. Wink
