I do think that despite it being the first cryptocurrency to reach this enormous potential scale there are many things that are still unsolved.
It's high transaction fee and the slow network.
Many things are being done to solve it and adoption of segWit addresses is just a starting.
Before anything else it needs to solve all the issues. .. related to it...then only we could say that it can have a fair chance to regulate..the transactions universally.

this opportunity has been planned by some companies but just waiting for some conditions that have not passed the exam.
It might or might not be a good idea for a company to invest in cryptocurrencies but I do see a huge scope for the companies involved in blockchain related business. Right now, this technology is in the infancy stage and thus there are infinite opportunities with least number of competitors compared to that of any other sector. If someone is giving me the option to choose the company which is involved in investing in crypto or the company which is involved in building blockchain based products, I would go with the second one, considering gains in the long run.
I think those were already tested through hedge funds that were created in 2017 during bitcoin's insane run, so it's possible that companies may still lean towards creating such companies if bitcoin performs well again. It's hard to create a bitcoin hedge fund when everything seems to be shaky, especialy the price. Also, most bitcoin hedge funds typically last for months, given the nature of the crypto. It is already happening, though not really widespread since bitcoin is still shaky as of late.
Bitcoin in itself is business. The moment you buy bitcoin you are already investing your money and resources in bitcoin. When bitcoin went out in the market different kinds of business appeared. The reason for it is because bitcoin has a value and it is an online currency. With this companies are opening online such as gambling site, merchant store, exchanges, promotion business and many more.
There are companies accepting bitcoin as a payment method or transactions but not that they are specialist on bitcoin transactions, I have had of such company.

It'll be hard for a company to specialize in bitcoin trading alone. Perhaps there could be a managed fund offered out there by a big investment banking firm in the future that bundles up bitcoin investments, sure, but it's hard to see an entire company dedicate all of their resources to bitcoin trading alone.
If you consider exchanges something of a company that puts their sole focus on bitcoin trading, then that could work out. However, I don't think that's what you mean.
In the future as we see more institutional investors coming in, I believe that we'll see established investment firms start to expand their business towards bitcoin as well. However, their old business model will still be there as a backbone for sure.
