Bitcoin is never going to be extinct
I believe its consensus will be higher and higher in the future.
Well, that would be great I think, however, there's no such thing last forever. Technology is evolving and it is inevitable, there might be a currency that will be more efficient compared to bitcoin in the future just like the cryptocurrencies were gradually being a trend over fiat. One thing I am pretty sure of and that is bitcoin will run for a long time, it has already a good foundation hence this will not be extinct that easily.

I appreciate your optimism about bitcoin. but we also need to think long and open. no one knows for sure how the condition of the world in the future. Likewise with bitcoin maybe in the future there are more recent discoveries that can replace the position of bitcoin. I'm optimistic that bitcoin will continue to exist for the next 10 years to 50 years. but for extinction I think maybe.

this argument is so stupid. its like saying 30 years ago dont use credit card payments becouse you know there might be a better tech in the future we never know. or better yet dont use your hands becouse we never know humans might evolve tenticles. anyways that reasoning might seem fine for someone that is using a stable currency. for the ones that see their purchasing power deminish from paper printing it means nothing.

Bitcoin has its foundation already; yes it is not a perfect foundation because it is going down but as we can observe Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are still fighting. We just need to trust and become an observant to all the possibilities

Bitcoin is never going to be extinct
I believe its consensus will be higher and higher in the future.
I don’t see anything that will ever make bitcoin to go into extinct because it has a very strong root already and has already been able to win the heart of many strong communities that are using it for their daily transactions, and people are beginning to rely much on this system for easy payment and also this is still the most profitable trading currency that is better than that of Forex trading.

We are just gradually winning the heart of so many agencies that are beginning to be willing to invest in bitcoin now. Starting from the nest halving, I am sure that there will be more adoption of bitcoin because there will be a big hype then that will also make the rise in the value of bitcoin to attract more users and more investors of bitcoin to the crypto market.

I agree with you. I believe bitcoin will not go extinct for the next 20-30 years but to believe bitcoin will last forever I'm not sure. because when technology continues to develop, all things that do not follow technological developments will be far left behind and forgotten. Likewise with bitcoin, when the future of technology is experiencing very rapid development, bitcoin should develop as well so as not to be abandoned
There's no assurance if things will be still okay after some years since the market appreciations still in question, though many companies are willing to adopt once it's been considered by the government, there's a long way to go for this investment currency, you just need to be patient and wait for another good reason to invest more and earned a lot.

The last Bitcoin will be mined in the next over 100 years, we don't know what's going to happen along the way, there will be new technology coming in and old coins will introduce new technology to keep up the competition, all I know is we are not going to be here anymore when the last Bitcoin is mine and it's up to the next generation if they are going to continue with the fight, just enjoy what is happening right now and continue the fight for Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin is never going to be extinct
I believe its consensus will be higher and higher in the future.

It is not certain if bitcoin will be here for a lifetime. There is still a tendency that it will be replaced by a much more better currency. Just like the fiat currency that we wanted to be replaced with cryptocurrency, bitcoin will also come to a point that people will be tired by it and create much more better currency. But this event will be no happening within a decade starting today since I believe bitcoin will reach the point of being mainstreamed and will be accepted by all countries. But far off in the future everything has a limit and an end and bitcoin is included.
You said people will be tired with bitcoin? I don't think this gonna happen in next five decades if people are not tired with fiat and gold I think they will not likewise be tired with bitcoin as more people get to know BTC the more users of bitcoin will emerge thus making bitcoin to be an alternative means of payment globally thus erasing any chances of going into extinction.

What exactly do you mean by going extinct? When will people stop investing into it or when will people stop using it? This is really important because it's not the same thing.

Bitcoin has proven itself as useful payment system and tech. It does exactly what it was designed to do and has withstood countless attacks and still survives. It has momentum and a growing user base and is getting easier and easier to acquire and use with time. It is the Beatles of the Crypto world while all others are imitations or variations that are like one hit wonders at best.

I am pretty sure governments will never support any Cryptocurrency which hasn't been created by themselves and being controlled by themselves. But anyway, bitcoin got where it is today without any support from governments. So why shouldn't it be able to stay? Bitcoin has come to stay and this is inevitable.

We are not sure on what will be happens on the next few years or in the future there is a chance that bitcoin will extinct or died but I wish that it will not happen because if this happens many will be sad and many will lose a lot of money that they invest in bitcoin or in cryptocurrency.  I hope that the extinct time will not happen and I wish that the consistency of pumping the bitcoin will go continuesly.

You can't say that with a giving assurance hundred percent, I think anything could happen in the future, we never know what actually happens in the future, always consider that this era is fully based on technology and internet so it's not a wise saying Bitcoin is never gonna be extinct, It maybe stay for a long time but except for something, people always in a shaky position, when they get another alternative then they must switch to another platform so nothing is permanent here. But it's true that Bitcoin is getting popular day by day around the world and it's getting accepted in many platforms as a payment method, I think if the Volatility of Bitcoin could be removed then this platform will be more popular and credible to the people.

According @WeissCrypto :

Quote
#Bitcoin was an overreaction to the financial crisis and the monetary system that allowed it to occur. Today, instead of functioning as an efficient peer-to-peer system for transferring cash, $BTC is evolving into a store of value like gold.

#BTC #crypto #cryptocurrency

In these times where great distrust has been created with the world economic system, where it is known that inorganic money is printed, generating inflation, the United States with a debt of 23 billion dollars and the Fed lending money to the banks to pay their debts. In the short term, the rates of iterés in negative, and the figures of fall of the GDP is an indication that things are getting complicated.

Then it is clearly seen that Bitcoin is a refuge in the midst of the storm that is being generated, starting from the fact that bitcoin with respect to traditional assets has low correlation, makes it more attractive as a great asset that should never be lacking in our system of diversification.

This interesting article explains the above: BITCOIN STILL A SAFE HAVEN AS GLOBAL ECONOMIC STORM BREWS, bitcoinist.com

This suggests that it is far from extinction.

In any case, the growth of the economy depends on GDP growth, but if the state also clearly controls the expenditures of public funds in order to get rid of fraud, abuse and other unnecessary waste of money, the situation will improve several times.  Owners of large businesses who receive superprofits are to blame in many respects, despite the fact that workers do not have decent wages, and the state does not receive the corresponding taxes.  If such a system of leadership and control in countries continues to exist, then not only fiat currencies, but also cryptocurrency will not be able to survive within such an economy.

The truth is I don't think it will be extinguished, because Bitcoin is currently used by millions of people around the world, however, no project is infallible, if another Altcoin with greater advantages and benefits for people arises, then Bitcoin can lose ground, even Now it has not happened, we will see in the coming years, however BTC is always a great opportunity for investment and trade.

Same thought with you. But just to add more of my thoughts, in the next few years bitcoin will gain more exposure and acknowledgement. More people will get into crypto after discovering how it can help them. But what's not we really sure is the life time of bitcoin. I can say that for the next years bitcoin will be stronger but the limit is, we don't know for how long? I still do believe bitcoin only have limited time of dominating the market, time will come that others will lead. Same with your topic, bitcoin will not literally extinct but others might leave bitcoin for other crypto. That the popularity of bitcoin will lose... But I'm positive that bitcoin will remain for a longer time!

Bitcoin will get extinct if it becomes useless. But as we can see we are just only on the early stage of this technology.
I think as much as the technology will definitely go further, it will go as well to bitcoin and the crypto market.

Do not put your faith in anything, If you have a portfolio diversify it. Nobody knows how long P2P, Banks, Crypto will last.

Imagine the people who sold their houses and bought BTC. I think it is better to have a place where to live than invest all of your fortune to one thing.

When People make irrational investment plan or action, it shouldn't be blamed on the investment but on those who refuse to differentiate their needs from their wants. So those who sell their house to buy Bitcoin should be blamed and not on Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is a new technology and people are always tasty for such technology, so it is not something that will come and go off like that. I believe in it future and what it will brings.

As for Bitcoin, its current status is sensitive to change. Once the government announces that it will be prohibiting the utilization of such, countries would avoid using it which will eventually affect bitcoin and its total number of users.

The central banks of some countries have already issued a ban on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and imposed penalties for mining activities, so most of their citizens are now unable to buy coins. It goes without saying that these governments want complete control over the financial system, but not all countries pursue such an unwise policy, so the number of Bitcoin users from around the world is still growing.

I agree with OP, Bitcoin will not be extincted in the foreseeable future, because Bitcoin looks like a well-known brand. Moreover, Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency ever created, and I believe that this asset will not disappear for at least 100 years.
