I'm one of the people on the team "Bitcoin isn't garbage" but your points are the shitty ones that aren't going to help anyone. Saying a value increase is going to help people could work with anything, well yeah if I buy this water today maybe I can make $1 on it tmmrow if I sell it. The point is dumb and isn't even on which is helpful in the least.

MOVING ONTO THE POINT ABOUT EMERGENCY MONEY. How good can this emergency money be if you really can't even use it in the least? Not like many people accept it in a real life non-internet environment as not many shops accept it (SOME DO THOUGH!)

Some people come here and say BTC is trash due to the medias bashing of it and saying it's only usage is for laundering, gambling, drugs, etc. That's fair as that's the only thing they know about the currency but they must be educated. Also, BTC is facing large network issue right now so it's not like we're in the best state as well here.

Though, I am still on team embrace Bitcoin.

Whatever your opinion on bitcoin the original article in marketwatch was surely garbage. The guy creates a fictional bitcoin user then argues with his creation. And, of course, wins the argument with himself . WTF?

It is quite funny that the more there are people talking about Bitcoin like it is some type of a garbage, a scam, a hype or anything that can be considered as a negative review, the more people are taking notice of Bitcoin and the more we can see the value of Bitcoin pointing upwards.

What is happening right now in Venezuela is a testament of how Bitcoin can be useful when there would be economic difficulties and political instability...even if the government is not officially recognizing Bitcoin.

As time goes by, we are expecting more and more practical applications for Bitcoin and the more we can see how valuable it can be as a form of money, as an investment or as a newly found technology that can be utilized for the greater good of humanity.

Bitcoin is not perfect but it is becoming much better compared to what traditional financial systems can offered to us.

True, bitcoin is far from garbage. But fact that it can make YOU profit or YOU use it as an emergency money doesn't make it any better. This are just things that are beneficial for you, in the present time and it is because you are early adopter. But the article is clearly talking about money in general. Real benefits of bitcoin will be seen when it will really be one of the major currencies of the world.
It is true that the value of bitcoin should be increasing, but that is consequence of limited supply and inflation of FIAT money.

Well the fact that bitcoin can surely be use to profit because of the price increase is a great offer for us, and the bonus for this is bitcoin is definitely a currency that can engage in all sort of transaction and taking a much more easier way in to make a lot of transaction issue more convenient in the future because there will be a number of people that will surely adapt bitcoin so we can make a direct transaction towards it, well major currencies I think bitcoin is a currency but bitcoin doesn't have a direct country to make it as currency, bitcoin is more on the commodities type of investment, and earning it in many ways was the thing that I like the most on bitcoin, whether it will be on mining, signature campaigns, faucets (even if it is time consuming) trading, and captcha solving!

Only someone who do not knows bitcoin well will believe that news. You will actually waste your time if you will going to read that. Better to do some gambling than reading that article.
